  • @Sasho Bozhinov we've stopped support for MS SQL 2014 as its mainstream support by Microsoft is already over (the extended end date in 2024 is for paid support only, the mainstream support ended in 2019 - source) and we want to focus on supported, up to date databases that are widely used by Bamboo customers.
  • @Paul Wagland thank you very much for the thorough feedback! We are aware of this issue and are looking into possible solutions - your feedback will surely help with that. Could you please let me know what's the reason for restarting Bamboo server so often? In the meantime maybe you would like to try seamless restarts to…
  • @pfyod We’ve started with Bitbucket Server support as that’s where we’d found most customer demand. We are open to supporting Bitbucket Cloud but, unfortunately, we can’t share any timeline yet.
  • @Anoop Wilson Thank you for your feedback! Here are more details on what has been delivered in Bamboo recently: improvements to branch configurations - it’s finally possible to create feature-specific configurations that allow for custom build plans; updated platform - improved security as well as support for new databases…
  • @systematicguy Yes, as the next step we will implement the same process for bugs as for suggestions: closing the old issues with low number of votes and allocating resources to work on the old and highly votes ones that are aligned with our strategy for FY21. As for BAM-4213 - we are currently looking into it.
  • @ksondere Yes, Bamboo is getting a renewed focus :) For the rest of Q4 FY20 we are focusing on developer productivity, mainly on improving logs and specs for branches experience. We are currently finalizing the strategy for FY21.
  • @Manjunatha NS I'm sorry to hear that! For the specs for branches to work the above-mentioned conditions need to be met: * the specs repository is in Bitbucket Server and configured in Bamboo as Bitbucket Server repository type (i.e. plain git won't work) * so called 'default' repository of a plan is the specs repository *…
  • @Graham Ballantyne if we wanted our prioritization process to be just a function of jira issue parameters we would let an algorithm do it for us :) These 2 issues describe slightly different needs, however we can try to consolidate them into a single feature. Thanks for flagging! As they are aligned with our current…
  • @James Brown "Does anyone know if it’s possible to store a python test file in a directory and then in an automated fashion parse it out into jobs/tasks in a bamboo build? I would like to make it easier on developers to write there TDD write in the same branch they are working on vs in a bamboo spec repository. This would…
  • @James Brown "Does bamboo use the name of the job from the bamboo spec file or does it still name them Job 1, Job 2, etc?" Do you mean the key? You can define it both in Java and YAML (in YAML 2.0 you can define both key and job name).
  • @Cory Francis well, changing the header color may not seem as an important feature to you but it was important for 182 Bamboo customers who voted for it (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-13311). It was prioritized as one of our top-voted issues. Is declaring plans with Terraform a highly voted issue? Was it even…
  • @mark_gillespie as @Marcin Gardias wrote 'UPM 3.0.6 is incompatible with Bamboo 7', so the upgrade report is not wrong. However, a compatible version of UPM is bundled with 7.0 release, so if you upgrade you will get a new working UPM plugin.
  • @mark_gillespie could you please provide the exact version? 6.10._?
  • @Graham Ballantyne I totally understand where you're coming from and agree that we haven't been taking proper care of all of the Bamboo open issues in the last few years. We are now focusing on making this process work by the ways you have mentioned: closing the old issues with low number of votes and allocating resources…
  • @mark_gillespie thank you for providing the list - now I can answer your question properly :) Support and conditional task plugins had been compatible with Bamboo 7.0.2, however the information on the supported product versions was not updated on the marketplace - it's done now. As for UPM - which version are you using?…
  • Thank you @Daniel Ebers! Glad to hear that the installation was successful and it's working smoothly :) We are currently exploring adding support for Java 11.
  • @Graham Ballantyne thank you for your interest in these issues! Adding more features into this release would delay it and, as there have been many Bamboo users waiting for the improved specs, we didn't want to keep them waiting any longer. We will focus on some of the highly voted features in the upcoming releases.
  • @mark_gillespie 'None' is not a very precise term. Could you please list the plugins that you had problems with so we can investigate?
  • Thank you for bringing this up @pfyod! We are exploring such a possibility.
  • We hope you enjoy it @Jimmy Seddon! Looking forward to your feedback :)
