Confluence Cloud Admins can also check on the list of macros used from the Macro Usage page. Hope it helps 😊

We built 2 apps for Jira Data Center for our customers to address this challenge which is * Issue Archiver * Attachment Housekeeper Both of them has been combined as a single app and listed on Atlassian Marketplace. Our Attachment Checker apps also help to enforce total quota usage by project spaces in Jira and Confluence.…

Once the issues are archived, the content unzipped will be like normal files. The content or filename can be searched using Windows File Explorer or Mac Finder.
-
Yes, you are correct. There is a required step to generate the archives/snapshots. Then the archives containing the HTML version of the issue together with the attachments can be downloaded and stored in a shared network drive. From that point onwards, it does not require a Jira Server to view the information. Hence there…

Hi, This is an interesting topic that we have a lot of thoughts on. We started working on an offline archiving solution for Jira Server since 2017. Today, the app has refined many iterations and still available on Atlassian Marketplace as Issue Archiver & Attachment Housekeeper for Jira. The app is a supplement/alternative…

@Brandi Guess , do you have any idea?

There is a typo in the link. It should be https://admin.atlassian.com it will appear in Atlassian Administration over the next month.
-
Hi @Ram You may want to check out Issue Archiver & Attachment Housekeeper for Jira Data Center. The benefits of the app * Safe - "soft deleted" attachments can be restored with no data loss within the retention period * Traceability - keeps the metadata records of the removed attachments* E.g. filename, creator, datetime,…

Hi @Brandi Guess , Thanks for the follow up. I managed to figure it out. 😊

Hi @MichaelL , You can check out Project Access Review for Jira Cloud . It is possible to get a free licence if you register on our ServiceDesk.
-
Hi @MichaelL It is possible for project admins to check which users have access to their Jira Cloud projects using Project Access Review for Jira Cloud. Security should not be the sole responsibility of the Jira admins. We also shared Why it is important to conduct Access Review.

Life as a Jira Admin is an exciting adventure * As a coach who teaches people the most effective way to use Jira * As a doctor who diagnose issues that causes Jira to be unwell * As a magician who whips up magic to make our users happy * As a historian who documents dutifully in Confluence on changes made * As a student…

This is a well written article that only an experienced Jira admin will know.👏 A tool is only as good as how it is being used. Hence the Jira admin plays a very important role in unleashing the value of Jira to the organization. I like your caption on Reports and Dashboards Need a Strategy, Not Just Data I have seen many…

This is a useful post that I want to share with my team mates! However, there is a point about CSAT that I want to add on based on our experiences with Bulk Approvals for JSM. There are some scenarios which CSAT may not applicable. Service requests which are * processed automatically without agent assistance * raised for…

Thanks. After playing with it, I think there should be 2 branches I have also added screenshots of the individual components. * Trigger: Scheduled (Monthly) * Branch: For pages last updated more than 6 months ago * Then Branch: For each page in {{pagesPerOwner}}, variable name: ownerStalePages * If Condition: *…

Thanks @Brandi Guess for sharing. Your post got me interested and I tried to set it up on our Confluence. Did I get it correct?

Unfortunately, there is no error in the HAR file and the console log. This is really a tough support case.

This is a bug which affects Jira gadgets built using Atlassian Connect framework. The issue is being tracked at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/ECO-645. Please help to vote on the issue to get it fixed.
-
Hi @Belhassen Belkhechine, It is not possible to use CQL to search for Tasks in Confluence since it is not one of the content types in Confluence. The supported content types are * page * blogpost * comment * attachment
-
@Tomislav Tobijas , Thanks for sharing your journey 👏👏 It further reinforces these 2 points * Having a dedicated Jira admin can help to unlock a lot of additional value to the organization * One must be self-driven to learn, explore and master the art of Jira administration

Another customer encountered similar issue and directed us to this page. For the benefit of other users who chanced upon this page in future, the error was fixed by granting clamd to access the necessary directories and files. 😊

Based on https://developer.atlassian.com/server/confluence/advanced-searching-using-cql/#field-reference lastmodified will search for content that was last modified on, before, or after a particular date (or date range). There is no lastupdated field. Can you elaborate what you are expecting from the lastupdated field?
-
When you search space = SPACEKEY AND title ~ "meeting minutes" It is equivalent to space = SPACEKEY AND (title ~ "meeting" OR title ~ "minutes")

I would still insist to get a scheduled downtime and stop Jira if there is a need to execute SQL to modify the database. In event if the database change goes haywire, there is still some time for recovery.
-
It might be messy trying to reconcile the records when the user is in the internal directory as well as the LDAP directory. You might want to try some user deactivation apps for more streamlined operation. The users can be deactivated automatically.
-
It is much more difficult to do impact assessment for Cloud since the data for apps are not be included in the Cloud backups. I won't dare to try to modify a Cloud backup 😬
-
Another question that popped up is how does Jira Cloud users tackle similar issues? They do not have access to the database and Jira logs. So is database manipulation really necessary?
-
As much as possible, we will prefer using ScriptRunner to do bulk updates via the Jira SDK and groovy scripts. It is risky to do direct database edits because the relationship is complex and Jira is very extensible with plugins. It is not a trivial task to understand the data usage and design assumptions of each and every…
