If you are using JMWE, you can us the Scripted (Groovy) Validator and just define the custom field logic in the Groovy script section. issue.getAsString("customfield_1234") == "Yes"

@Rodney Nissen _Work Wranglers_ _TJL_ that was a very well written and thought out article and I am very glad to see Atlassian addressing some of the concerns. We are fully on DC since we are in the Health Care realm and leadership has HIPAA compliance concerns in the cloud. I know Atlassian says they are HIPAA compliant…

Hello everyone! I have been using Jira for 10+ years. I have also broken Jira in just about every way possible. Happy to be here and help out in anyway I can! -Ed

What are you passing in as the user/auth for the REST API call?
-
Hey Kishore - If you click on a workflow transition, you can add a condition. There are several available (see screen shot) that allow you to specify user must be in a specific group or role in order to see/use the transition.
-
What authentication are you using in your API calls? If you are using basic authentication (username/password), you need to make sure the User exists in Jira and has the appropriate permissions for the target project (i.e browse, create issue, etc..)
-
several ways to do this, but you can always use an "Assign to Current User" post function for the first bullet. Several partners have an application/plugin that will allow you to update linked issues via post function, which would handle your second bullet.
-
probably a couple ways to handle this, but you could always put the specific users in a group. Then add a condition or validation on the transition to your resolution status to only allow that group to transition if label/s contains xyz.
-
yes you can have bi-directional integration with Jira via the REST API. Atlassian has several resources to help you out with understanding the formatting and execution. About the JIRA Server REST APIs (atlassian.com) Jira REST API examples (atlassian.com)

You would need to grant anonymous access to your space and then also use page restrictions to tighten down what they can see and/or edit within the space. The following article should get you on the right track. Share your site externally with anonymous access | Confluence Cloud | Atlassian Support
-
you can always just create page templates if you want to reuse a page. Can create a template for Marketing, Hardware, Software, etc... Example: Create a template | Confluence Cloud | Atlassian Support

I was there at Team 22 in person with you @Andy Gladstone and totally agree how well Atlassian kept the focus on the experience for attendees. As much as we try to mitigate crisis', they can pop up. I have found that staying calm and open communication helps to keep the team in control while we fight through to the…

We have been using JSM over 5 years now to manage application access and new Jira/Confluence project/space creation. We are now starting to use it for Work Intake management with and eye towards also using it to manage our change management process. Users are excited to use it!!

Rachel Wright has an excellent book and also has free Jira lessons on LinkedIn. May want to see if that fits your clients needs. https://www.jirastrategy.com/

Hey John - you should be able to use Automation for Jira to easily handle this for you. Set a condition to compare the story points value to actual time tracked. Then set an action to send an email or a slack notification. -Ed

"Try limiting the time to 15-30 minutes rather than an hour." This!! I can't count how many times folks book an hour meeting for what is going to be a 10 - 20 minute session max. I have to go back to them and propose the new time with bulleted thoughts we can discuss

@David Wuth is a great part of the Atlanta Alassian Community group!!!

Have you checked the permission scheme associated with the project to make sure the user has the right permissions? Browse project, Assignable user, edit worklog, etc....?
