Matthias, I would agree that the Atlassian ecosystem is broad, but it's not so broad that you can't master it. Start with Jira and Confluence, then move to the different admin learning paths. Once you've taken those learning paths, you can go to Rovo, and then the other Atlassian apps. If you've done any development or are…

Like you, I spent my summers assembling model cars. Once I was old enough to cut grass, I was able to buy a few models. This was in the 70s, so many of the models were inspired by George Barris. After several models, you had a collection of spare parts and tried to cobble something together on your own. If one turned out…

My child is grown and gone, but I remember the stress of wondering whether her best friend would be in her class or finding out who she would have to sit next to. I was also in the Air Force, and if we moved in the summer, she had to go to her first day of school without having a best friend. To her, that was so much…

I'm the same way. I donated to a startup that makes reusable sticky notes. Rocketbook is the company. They are erasable with a special Pilot ink pen. They also have a QR code on each so you can link them to a web page if you want to. I still reach for dependable 3M Post-It Notes.

This is Finn. He was a year old at the time. He's an Angora goat. He's nine now. A photographer took this pic of him taking an animal cracker from my mouth, submitted the pic to the Asheville newpaper, and won. The other is my barn cat, The Pudge. He was stoned out of his goard in this pic. He was going with the vet to get…

I never found study groups to be helpful. Someone always derailed the conversation, and then all of a sudden, we weren't studying. If it's in a class environment, I find it helpful to review my notes and add things while it's still clear in my mind right after the class or within a couple of hours. If it's a technical…

I was 13. I lived in rural KY, and it was acceptable for a kid to drive on the country roads between farm properties. It was a 1975 Chevy pickup with no accessories, not even a cigarette lighter. It was a three-speed manual on the column (3 on the tree) with no power steering and no power brakes. A beast.

@Monique vdB I was stationed at the Presidio in Monterey in the 80s. I took my bike and went on the drive past those trees. I had seen pictures of those trees my whole life. They'd be on a place mat at a restaurant or on a calendar. I rode as close as I could to see them. There was a fence to keep people away. There were…

Black walnut is my favorite tree. Black walnuts are the first to lose their leaves and the last for their leaves to come in. They drop black walnuts, which can hurt you if they hit you in the head. They can lay you up if you step on one and twist your ankle. The nuts taste good, but it is so hard to get the nut meat out of…

Is this the one your dad planted?

That's easy. Certification Day. Monday, pre-conference, we had 300 people come and take an Atlassian certification test. You know how being around customers can motivate you? You also know how just that one customer that's pissed about everything can take your buzz down a bit? I worked the SWAG table for those that passed…

I have kanban boards in Jira to keep track of my goats. My wife and I have Angora goats. They are similar to sheep in that their farm product is fiber, and they are sheared twice per year to harvest the fiber. On shearing day, they are weighed, given shots, hooves trimmed, FAMACHA, and finally sheared. Different people…

I just shared the CloudShare environment with you and emailed you the lab workbook. Let me know if you have any problems.
-
I sent you another invite to CloudShare. That is the company that hosts our VMs for Jira Align student instances. You have to accept the invite before I can add you to an instance for you to do the labs. You should receive an email from CloudShare with a link to create an account. Once you've created the account, respond…

We are in the process of updating the course. For now, labs won't be provided for the online version of the course. I can give you access to a VM with Jira Align and the lab instructions if you send me your email.

It depends on the feature. DC/Server has a Program and I don't think Cloud will ever have that. With that said though, the Cloud team is working on features to give you the same functionality.
-
This link will answer your question in detail but it appears to be 5,000 https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/limits-on-plan-size-in-advanced-roadmaps/
-
I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to that but you can submit a feature request to the dev team.
-
Cloud or Server? Server - Check out Shared Teams in the documentation. That should help Cloud - You can still create Shared Teams and adjust the capacity for the team but you can't for individual team members. They are in the process of integrating Advanced Roadmaps with Teams and you'll have a lot more control.
-
Yes, but anyone in the community can.
-
I will have to ask the product team about that.
-
I'm assuming you mean bottom-up: starting with the stories and the agile teams to the epics (or whatever your org calls the next level up) and so, versus Top-Down where management sets the vision and creates the top level of the hierarchy all the way down to the agile teams. I love this answer. It's the answer to every…

Road map tools? Are you referring to Roadmap that comes with Jira or Advanced Roadmaps that comes with Premium?

We have a lab in the new course to explore the Training Simulations as well. The Training Simulations have a lot of useful content to help you be successful in your agile at scale approach and use of Jira Align. The lab image for this course has them turned on so you can explore them.

We did have a Jira Align course that was slated for Atlassian Summit 2020. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, Atlassian Summit 2020 Las Vegas was canceled and the presenter portion of the conference was presented virtually. The pre-conference training sessions were canceled. This is when the Jira Align course would have been…

Funny you should ask that. We are finalizing our first self-paced Jira Align course right now. Jira Align - Program Essentials should be released sometime in early July. Thanks for your interest.

There are several boards I'd like to do this one but my most recent is tracking my goat herd. I have a column for each animal. Last week we did fecal tests to track their parasite load. I need to track that number. Then, if they need it, they get treated with a dewormer. There are multiple types so I have a list box with…

First, how did you check? I'd like to be able to see what and when it sends a request. Second, is there a way to sort on the client? Seems wasteful to send a bunch of requests if your user just wants to sort a few different ways.
