Good for you for embracing it and doing some early testing. Being told you must return to the office because of reasons that have nothing to do with your personal productivity or performance doesn't feel great. It could be worse, though; it could be five days a week. Even though Atlassian is a remote-first company, I live…

Thanks for sharing this, Jimmy. This challenge is facing so many people.
-
Would love to hear about how you use those tools together @Rilwan Ahmed
-
@patricia this is a great discussion that is related to your question.
-
@patricia here is some information on the reports available in Jira Work Management. https://support.atlassian.com/jira-work-management/docs/generate-a-report/
-
Hi @patricia 😁 Between www.atlassian.com and www.support.atlassian.com, you can find a bunch of info about using specific products together, like https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/use-jira-cloud-with-confluence/. But if you are looking for a bigger picture that focuses on tools for software development…

Hey Community 👋 I'm Traci, your friendly neighborhood content enthusiast and long-time fan of Confluence. I was instrumental in getting Connie implemented at a couple of companies before joining Atlassian four years ago on April 15th when I joined the Confluence product team. Now I'm working on the Work Management…

Definitely easier to reference work from some other page @Tomislav Tobijas. However, the beauty of the Excerpt Include macro is that it can strip away the surrounding border to make the content look like it was authored inline on the page rather than being a reference to something that exists somewhere else.
-
Hi @Sarah Kaplan 👋 Short answer no, you can't share a link to a post that is scheduled to publish. Draft URLs can be shared with others with whom you want to collaboratively edit. Meaning a page that hasn't been published doesn't have a URL that just lets people view it. For your specific use case, you can draft your…

@Chris Giordano version comments aren't currently available the first time you publish. The More actions (•••) menu is contextually different between the first time publish and subsequent times the page is updated. This is what you should see when you edit a previously published…
-
Gotcha. I will share that use case with the team @Amanda Milko
-
ACK! I just saw a few comments. * @Jesper Ungermann Christensen The request for admins to have control over making version comments required is known by the team. I will reshare though. * @Amanda Milko We have heard from our customers who use comments for regulatory reasons that being able to edit the comments is not good…

Ahh, thanks for clarifying @Tom Kiefer. I'm with you now. Sounds like a bug, but I'm chatting with a product team to figure out next steps. Unfortunately, I don't have a recommendation for a way to accomplish your goal. That gadget was the way to do it. I'm glad you shared how you are using it so that I can relay this to…
-
@Tom Kiefer Can you tell me more about the gadget placement failing? I'm doing some digging to find out if there is a current way to accomplish what you want. I'll let you know what I find out.
-
We are definitely making it easier to surface the right amount of information where you need it. A Jira issue shown as a smart link in a Confluence page saves me from going to Jira to find what can easily be shown in context in Confluence while I do most of my work there. And the reverse is super handy for people who spend…

@Fondation Energeia glad to hear that it is now working. Did it just need a page refresh? Curious to know what the lag time was between it not working, you seeking help here, and then it working. This wiki formatting method is not meant to be the end of of the evolution of this feature. Stay tuned. :)

Love MadLibs! Thanks @Meg Bailey It was the end of the year and the enormous Content Design team had quickly gathered for a year-end retrospective. Outside the weather was chilly, but the mood was new as the Content Design team reflected on their sweaty year. They had faced plenty of hungry challenges as a hybrid team, but…
-
Thank you for taking the time @Jack Brickey I will share this with the team.
-
@Harsha Chandra You could create a set of the pages in your new space and use the Include page macro to pull the content from the other spaces into the pages in your space. This would ensure that when content changed in the source pages across various spaces, that the new set of pages would reflect those changes.

I'm a sucker for a quiz! Marie Curie You are able to quickly diagnose radioactive or toxic collaboration within a team. You radiate determination in order to create a positive reaction in cross-functional teamwork.
-
Hiya @Julie Leonard This doesn't need to be turned on by an admin. The rollout of the feature should be complete by the end of next week. You'll be seeing it soon. It's definitely worth the wait. It's a great feature!
-
ooooooo...gotcha @Maurice Pasman. Being able to add an emoji to a page title is an option for page authors that will be rolling out soon. Sorry for the confusion!
-
@Maurice Pasman The icons map to the actions used in other places in Confluence. They are meant to give those used to scanning for icons an even quicker way to pick from the list. Are you asking if it's mandatory that they are there, like you want to just see the labels?
-
@Jean-Marc Pascal We have recognized that comments would be useful for the first version. The team is thinking through how to include this in the future.
-
@Benjamin Christie Keep an eye out. You should have it soon. Because Confluence users span a WIDE variety of types who all like to organize content differently and want to filter and sort in a way that matches their mental model, giving users this control seemed like the best first step. By the way, each space…
-
Hiya @Clark Everson This feature is only for Confluence Cloud. Is this something you'd like to see in data center? Also curious to know if there are other views that you would find helpful.
-
@Macurion - There is! Go to Space Settings > Content Tools > Undefined Pages. That tab shows you pages that haven't been defined (haven't been created) and the page on which the placeholder link exists. We are thinking about a better label for that tab. If a page hasn't been created, can it really be called a page? Would…
-
@Mary Connor Points taken. :) This isn't the last you'll see on this feature, though. Now that we have the basic functionality back in the new editor, we'll be tweaking and improving things. We have heard and get continued support for making version comments required at the instance level and at the space level. It's great…
-
@Mary Connor We definitely discussed where this feature should live in the UI and how many clicks it would take to get to that Publish with version comment dialog. The keyboard shortcut is a direct way to open that dialog and start typing straight away. For those of us who need to add version comments regularly, using the…

AHHH! Thanks you for helping clarify this @Gary Holeman and @Roel Thys I now see what you mean. If I'm with you, you want the person creating the placeholder link to set which template will be used when the placeholder is selected and the new page is created. I'm not sure this was part of the discussion...yet. I'll make…
