Hi everyone! Just wanted to make an update to the comments, as well as the article. Jira Align's ideation portal has been closed, but don't worry! All existing ideas have been migrated to JAC (jira.atlassian.com). We're using this instance to manage Jira Align product suggestions from now on. These changes consolidate…

@Tina Behers Today! We just updated the Field Dictionaries into one article where you can click between work item types to see the fields for the selected type. As part of the field dictionary improvements, we added a dictionary for capabilities, and so that's now reflected in this article.

Great article! I love how this shows how both themes and objectives can work together and connect the rest of your work to strategy.
-
Awesome article @Tarun Sapra !
-
Looking forward to attending!
-
Congratulations @Darryl St. Pierre

A very dear friend of mine shared this quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson. It's really resonated with me, too: “If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore; and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God which had been shown! But every night come out these…

How cute! That reminds me of my parents' dog. She loves watching videos on cell phones and laptops, and will get so close to the screen because she's just that interested.

You are awesome, @Andy - PTC Redundant ! I love smilies in messages, and reacting to messages with emoji, too! Emoji addicts unite! 🙌

I agree-- it doesn't seem arrogant to me, just ways of adding clarity to yourself and others of why you're in a certain place at a certain time and need to be there at that moment.

One great way I've found to avoid meetings and lessen the time it takes to get things done is by encouraging simultaneous collaboration where possible. For example, @Kyle Clark might work on documenting a story. Then, when he's ready for review, he'd send over the draft to our team for me to look at it. He'd stay in the…

Wow, I'm glad he's all right! He's a smart cookie to figure out how the gate worked, and pull off doing it himself :O
-
He must have really wanted to get out there to do that to the door! :O How did you decide on his name?
-
Both of them look really big but so cute! How is Spirit crazy? I've heard Huskies can be big goofballs :D
-
@Kent Baxley So the Service Account really is an administrative-type person who has a lot of the same permissions to manage the platform that a Jira Administrator might have. But, they don't have the ability to do everything in the platform for project-specific things? What do you mean by they could have a Jira…

All but one of those facts were new to me. Great fact choices @Jodi LeBlanc - You rock!
-
That's new to me (even if I'm not Canadian). And it's a great fact subject - small enough that most people just accept the name, without ever questioning what it means. Thanks for sharing!
-
Thanks for sharing your board, and best of luck in the job search!
-
Thanks for this overview of external dependencies! I love that you can account for all sorts of different entities as you create dependencies, including ones outside the organization.
-
I'm not using covers for most of my work boards, but they'd be great for my personal boards! Thanks for introducing me to them!
-
Great video, @Kyle Clark !
-
Awesome article @Kent Baxley ! One quick question, since I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to Jira Software - what's the difference between a Service Account and a Jira Administrator?
-
Does your son know?
-
I agree, they are very cute dog-bunnies!

Not so much a "worst gift" moment, but definitely a standout for me: One Christmas, I had asked for a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I'm not a stranger to duplicate gifts every now and then, but that year, I received not one, not two, but THREE copies of the same game! Never did end up getting very far…
-
That's the opposite of a gift :( I'm sorry for your loss @Peter Jessen .
-
NOOOOO :(
-
Ooh, that's a great idea! And it would probably eliminate any of the concerns that dogs can bring when they're bigger - not to mention they'd be very well-behaved. :)
-
Awww! He's so sweet, and the perfect size, too! When are you going to bring him to the Georgetown office? :P
-
In our Austin office, we do have a meditation room. I'd love to see nap rooms become more common, so I think if I were CEO, I'd do the same :)
