Hi @Wendy Barrington - you're trying to use Automation to identify issues with a form attached. Is that right? Can I ask what you're trying to accomplish? Thanks!
-
🎉 Yes! Glad it worked, @Elena Simon 🎉
-
Hi @Wendy Barrington - do you need to simply confirm if a form is attached to an issue or do you need to use form data? In case it's the latter, tasks that can be completed with automation are listed here: http://links.thinktilt.net/automation-overview
-
Hi @Elena Simon - no need to say sorry :) Happy to help. You should not need to uninstall ProForma to update it. The update process will handle that for you. Updating ProForma is like any other Marketplace app, so we didn't create any specific documentation on it. I can tell you that because your data is stored on Jira…

Hi @Vincent Roireau-Minville - ProForma does not currently support calculating fields, but you can find instructions for creating calculating fields here: Jira Automation (Cloud) Automation for Jira (Server) This may not be exactly what you’re looking for, but hope it helps and if you have any additional questions about…
-
Thanks for the video, @Elena Simon - This may be a version issue. I found a note about a similar error in earlier versions of ProForma. Have you upgraded? I believe anything from version 8.4.5 in the marketplace should address this issue.
-
Hi @Elena Simon - are you clicking Save and Submit after reopening and editing the form? I know this is like asking if you "tried turning it off and back on again," but I had to do it 🤓

Hi @Kojo 👋 -- the solutions from @Jack Brickey and @Joseph Chung Yin hit the mark. For more info on using ProForma specifically to create a link to a form, you can learn more about that feature (called Issue Forms) here: http://links.thinktilt.net/create-issue You can also give ProForma a try with the Lite version (free up…

My pleasure, @Steve Dobrioglo. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you, but I think including the link is your best bet at the moment.
-
Hi @Steve Dobrioglo and welcome to CAC 👋 Emailing Proforma Forms is not possible at the moment but it is on the roadmap (though I can't say when it will be developed). Other users have had success with Automation for Jira (AFJ) copying key fields into the email and then including a link to the issue. For example, you could…

Hi @david flood 👋 you beat me to it. I was going to suggest reaching out to support.thinktilt.com - the team is great at working through use cases. For anyone else interested, you can see the ProForma API documentation here: http://links.thinktilt.net/proforma-api Pete

Hi Munir - will TASK1 and TASK2 always be unique or do you have recurring tasks? I'm not aware of a way to automate or select for a specific task.
-
Hi @Munir Patel - To add a form to an issue, you can scroll down to the forms section and click Add Form. A dropdown menu will show the available forms. Pick the one you want and click Add. Let me know if that helps
-
Hi Munir - I think you can use the {{issue.key}} smart value. I haven't tested this myself, though so I may have this wrong. Because the script is meant to copy the entire form from one issue to another, including all entered values, I don't think the epic.key or summary smart values will work.
-
Hey @Munir Patel - here's the link to the Cloud versions of the Groovy Scripts: https://thinktilt.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PFDEV/pages/1588133907/Copy+Forms+to+Another+Issue. Let me know if that does that job.
-
Hi @Munir Patel - there is a ProForma API and some Groovy Scripts you can find here: http://links.thinktilt.net/proforma-api It is possible to copy a form and its contents using this Groovy Script here: https://thinktilt.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PFDEV/pages/1550778969/Copy+Forms+to+Another+Issue Does that get you what you…
-
Hi @Kenneth McClean -- hmm. I've asked around and don't have a great answer for you at the moment. I suggest connecting with support.thinktilt.com and seeing they can shed more light on the order of operations.
-
Hi @Kenneth McClean - Pete from the ProForma team here. Due to the order of events, it’s common for this kind of automation to read null data from ProForma. I know this can be avoided in ScriptRunner by adding a sleep() call to the beginning of the script to give enough time for ProForma data to save to Jira. I’m not as…
-
No worries, @Chris Dukes - let me know how you get on with it or you can ping the ProForma support crew here. There's a lot of form building expertise on the team.
-
Hi @Chris Dukes - I don't believe Jira supports that field type ("Other" with the option to type in your own answer), so at the moment ProForma can't link choice fields with the "Add Other" option. One workaround is to use a conditional section in ProForma that only shows when a user selects the "Other" option from a…
-
Hi @Minu Murali - Pete from the ProForma team here. It's not currently possible to create pages in ProForma. You can use conditional logic and dynamic sections to reveal additional questions, but not create tabbed pages. I can tell you that this has been requested a number of times, but as we have recently been acquired by…
-
Hi Matt, There isn't a way to automate that right now. We've investigated this with Automation and scripts, but don't have a workaround yet. To my knowledge, there isn't an option for this in the API Documentation via REST API either. I've added this to our internal product board and let the product manager know. If I have…
-
Hi Kym 👋 Peter from ProForma here. I was going to jump in here and respond with some advice, but it looks like you've had a chat with our support team. If you run into any more order-of-events type issues, please give us a holler and we'll happily work through it with you. All the best, Peter
-
Hi @Navaneeth Shankar - Pete from ProForma. We do also have a free version of ProForma that allows you to build three form templates: ProForma Lite A form template is the form design. You could use each of your three form templates on as many issues as you need. Thanks for the mention @John Funk 👋
-
Enjoyed this session, @Kelly Drozd. It was helpful to hear from a seasoned pro like John and I love the think big, work small mindset. Looking forward to seeing more of this series.
-
@Kimi Nakashima - we've helped a few people with similar use cases. If we can assist in the automation build or even just be a sounding board for ideas, you're welcome to connect at support.thinktilt.com.
-
Hi @Kimi Nakashima I’ve asked the team about this and the short answer is that you should be able to use AfJ to send an email and attach the PDF. Worth noting, ProForma forms are added as an edit to the issue milliseconds after creation. This little window of time can cause automation rules dependant on ProForma to miss…

Hi @Michael Bilotta - welcome to the community! Are you looking to modify the fields your customers see on the JSM portal? You can modify your customer request forms by going to Project Settings > Request Types > Click the pencil button to edit the Customer Request Form. Like this: For more tailored forms, you can check…
-
Hi @Jen Millan 👋 You mention portals. Are you using Jira Software or are you in Jira Service Management (JSM)? I ask b/c there's a difference in how you can present fields between the two. If you're using JSM, Atlassian has a guide on setting up Request Types that customers would see on your portal:…

Glad it helped, @Steve D And I totally get where you're coming from re: SharePoint :)
