@Lachlan Wintour You may also want to take a look at my team's app Scroll Viewport. With it, you can turn your Confluence content into a help center site, which would be a great use case when trying to deflect support tickets. :) You can even integrate the widget from several popular support tools, so you can created a…

@Bruna Almeida I'm not sure you'll be able to use the Like button because likes are tied to logged in users.
-
I don't think anonymous users can leave comments because a comment must be tied to a user.
-
You can contact Atlassian support to revert too the old editor: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-Cloud-articles/Change-to-your-content-is-in-your-hands/ba-p/1324476
-
Hmmm, that I don't know. Atlassian can probably help you out though.
-
Hi @Akshay To use most of these features, you must be logged into Confluence. However, you can enable PDF exports: for your readers If you're using the Help Center theme, you can enable the Scroll PDF Export integration. If you're using a custom theme, you can use this recipe.

Here's how to get the older editor on Confluence Cloud: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-Cloud-articles/Change-to-your-content-is-in-your-hands/ba-p/1324476 Server doesn't have the new editor, so you should be fine there. :)

Hi @stpl There are a lot of approaches you can take in Confluence and I'd say that starts with your spaces. Having to navigate to a space really helps set context for users. I've seen spaces basically revolve around two things: teams and topics. * Each team has a space and each contains parent pages for meeting notes,…

I was going to suggest the same thing: https://www.k15t.com/rock-the-docs/content-reuse
-
We've also solved this by adding the Children Display macro on all title pages: https://help.k15t.com/scroll-viewport/latest/server/administration-125708736.html It displays differently here, since we're using Scroll Viewport, but you get the idea.
-
@MA This isn't currently supported in the new editor, but you can show your interest here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-65695

They offer some hints here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/I-have-the-new-editor-is-it-possible-to-have-the-legacy-editor/qaq-p/1372761 It looks like it really comes down to what's in the toolbar.
-
@B Linssen Is the included content from the space that you've linked to your JSD? If so, I would guess it's not showing because JSD users can only view content from that space.

🤦🏻♂️ Can't believe I forgot to mention anonymous access! Thanks @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- I forgot we also have a list of options here: https://www.k15t.com/rock-the-docs/publishing/display-your-documentation-online There's also HTML export.
-
Hey @Ken Erwood Yes, you can do this with my team's app Scroll Viewport. With it, you can choose the space(s) you'd like to publish, customise the look and feel, integrate Google Analytics and your support system macro. Let me know if you want to see it in action. You can check it out on our help site.
-
@Sandrah Kim maybe check to see if you've applied any formatting to the line where the Include Macro is placed on the page, like it being set to H1 or something. I also just learned about this issue, where extra formatting is being added when viewing page inclusions in the new Confluence editor. This could also be what…

@Victoria Rauh You should be able to ask Support for help on this: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/I-have-the-new-editor-is-it-possible-to-have-the-legacy-editor/qaq-p/1372761?utm_source=atlcomm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=digest_notification&utm_content=topic

Ahhhh, sorry. I've never done it personally, but maybe this app will help: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1212279/html-macro-for-confluence-cloud?hosting=cloud&tab=overview&_ga=2.146174199.297835342.1592218656-1126997211.1540405048

@steph ventura What are you looking to do with custom HTML?
-
@Ravi Malireddy I'll admit, I was also a bit underwhelmed by this page. It's cool to know that Confluence can be used for all these types of documentation, but it would be nice to learn how. My team set out to document some of this on Rock the Docs, a guide for writing documentation in Confluence. I hope you're able to…
-
Another option would be to use my team's app Scroll Viewport to have a totally custom view of your content. The app includes the Help Center theme which is geared toward readability and customizability. You can see it in action on our help site.
-
Hi @Don Bailey As @Julius Zatroch mentioned, there are many things you can do with Confluence. My team created a similar resource in our guide Rock the Docs. We used Scroll Viewport (we make this app 😀)to turn the Confluence space into an external site. I collaborated with a bunch of other people in the field of technical…
-
Hello, This is because you're using Confluence Cloud, which doesn't alo CSS styling. A few apps you might check out: * Scroll Viewport (My team makes this app) * Refined for Confluence Cloud
-
Hi @Radha Devaraj You could do this with base Confluence by setting a space with anonymous access. The disadvantages here is that the space won't look like a user guide site and also, the URLs can change easily, breaking the connection to your app. You could use my team's apps Scroll Versions and Scroll Viewport to…
-
@Luciana Fernandes We just use the three column page layout, where the center column is the widest. It's not an ideal solution, but it makes things like blog posts much more readable.
-
Hi @Alicja Mostowik You could also try out my team's app Scroll Viewport. With it, you can totally customize the look of anonymous spaces using a customizable theme or by writing a unique one using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We use it on our help site and so does Atlassian. Let me know if you ever want to see it in action.
-
Hi @David Robson This is actually a feature within the Scroll Versions app, which it looks like you're using. What you're experiencing is very odd. If you wouldn't mind sending this to my team via support@k15t.com, we'll work through it with you. Thanks, Matt
-
We just tested out Linpin and it looks pretty cool.👍🏻
-
Great summary @JimmyVanAU I wanted to add one correction. Our app Scroll Viewport does work with Cloud, we just released it last week. 🎊 While it doesn't provide versioning, like our Server app Scroll Versions, it does provide theming and publishing.
-
Hey @Mark Bonham I don't believe there is a setting for this in Confluence, though creating a robots.txt file on the server might help solve the issue. Here's an example. As an alternative, you could try out my team's app Scroll Viewport, which allows full Google indexing and can be integrated with Google Analytics, Search…
