You are talking about CLOUD right Nicole ?
-
Are you guys back now ? Issue has been resolved it seems.
-
Are you directly copy pasting them from your account to your confluence or have you pasted it on notepad or something ? Avoid doing that too.
-
Follow this page on CLOUD status https://status.atlassian.com/
-
Is it CLOUD ? I think there have been updates on slowness from Atlassian.
-
Never tried two JIRA to one confluence but I guess it can be done with two different Application Links.
-
I'll be watching that page for now. Thanks Daniel.
-
You will find your plugins both in home and application directory depending on the type of plugins that you are looking for . Say under application directory - the path is ; .../atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/lib/ While under home directory - you will have it under ; .../Application Data/JIRA/plugins/installed-plugins
-
If it disappeared just from the add-on list of manage add-ons , it could be a JIRA issue. But if the plugins are lost from the backend - it looks more like an issue or an action outside JIRA - maybe somebody tampered with the installations or something to do with the host OS.
-
When you say disappeared - does it mean that it was disabled on the add-ins admin page or were all the jar files wiped out from backend as well - say linux or windows server backend.
-
To be frank Marco - when I had my JIRA migrated , I imported XML to a fresh new database and it all worked fine. Do you have any table customizations to your current database - say table size and likewise. Before you import xml on to the new database - ensure all your table changes have also been done on the new database.…
-
I have some more questions - are you planning to create a new database as well ?
-
Thanks for the reply - I was kinda confused what must have gone wrong :p
-
IDo you use a DNS Server ? Given a chance I'd just create a new server separately - and on some cutover day, I'd just redirect the DNS mapping to the new server.
-
I think the Data Centre Version is one option to DR. Also to add - this looks more like an Infrastructure Design approach rather than application.
-
Great - I love this Article.
-
In terms of retaining customization changes along with upgrade - I dont like that idea. The reason being making my changes again helps me understand the intricacies of my system. I think my idea of my system stays intact - and it also helps me understand what can happen with every new updates and releases.
-
True Andrew - I am myself using HDD which isn't recommended anyway. So maybe if I am careless with recommendations - I should prepare myself to wait for 500seconds haha
-
@Jiri Pik My timeout value is around 500 for timeout value and I've allocation almost 8gb for 200000 issues right now.
-
No attachments never get removed or compressed in upgrade process.
-
Thank you @Martins Vanags_eazyBI , i'll have that a look.
-
When you said " I cannot see any boards. " You meant some boards are missing ? I thought you dont see the board menu, I think you should make sure you restored the data properly which ends finally with an automatic reindexing at the end,
-
I have done several upgrades on RedHat Linux - shouldnt be too different from Solaris
-
You mean nothing from the restore ? Did the restore complete properly ?
-
Is the above module enabled ?
-
Go to Add-Ons - select application components - select jira agile - under that check if module name " Planning Board Menu Item" is enabled .
-
One thing though Anup - it is quite not a good idea to use data that was in 7.2.6 into 7.8. You could have upgraded JIRA directly with the data.
-
I hope you did not zoom in your browser too much to hide the MENU -I have seen may users do that as well.
