check your ajp ports and connections - match that with your apache conf files - usually that is what gets removed, you can add it back.
-
Why don't you maintain versioning of your configuration files - helps a lot, and keep it as a standard practice for upgrades.
-
@Sergio Seplovich You need to let us know - how are your users managed ? Do you use an external user management system ? Are user id created and synced via an active directory . or have you always created users inside jira or say invited them.
-
I would suggest - build another container with SMTP Server, connect jira container and smtp container under a network. use the same mail configuration and check if smtp and jira containers talk to each other.
-
@David Cheong Your docker container network and your mail server network - they should be able to able to reach each other. Here it looks like a network issue - your container network and mail server network have restrictions and cannot communicate , check that.
-
Right - so are they all running same JIRA type or is that also varying , say some just on JSD , some just on Core , some on Software, some running all three in one instance ? Or is the use uniform ?
-
@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- This made me think - is there any tool in the market Nic that is capable of turning voice calls into a ticket in the system ?
-
This sounds challenging - do keep us informed on how you go about it and challenges you face. We'd be watching this post here for sometime I bet. :-) I'm excited to learn quite a lot from this experience of yours. One question though - are you planning to consolidate all 17-20 of them into one instance now ?
-
@Patrick Kyne Have you tried ; ProxyPass / ajp://127.0.0.1:8009/ instead ?
-
@Patrick Kyne The serverl.xml has a line on ajp connectivity and the specific ajp port - uncomment it to enable it. And on your apache ssl config file - add your ajp configurations specifying ajp port as it is in server.xml.
-
How nice of Atlassian to recognize people for their contributions how small it may have been. Great job Community.
-
Please check your configurations - right from server.xml , maybe you are trying to access test env url that has prod configs in backend.
-
New stuffs for me - thanks Nic.
-
Ricard - it does prompt you if you wish to take a backup or not, doesn't it ? You can select no I guess. :-)

* You can probably consult your IT Team to take a selective backup of JIRA filesystem alone- I am sure there must be a provision - it would keep your backup separate from all other backups of the server. * You can ask your Database Team to take a schema backup of your JIRA schema only. Both methods would keep your…

My ssl file has a configuration like this - it just points to the location where i have it. SSLCertificateFile /apache/certificates/certificate_file.pem
-
Hello Ernesto - you can keep it in any location you like - but your ssl config file should have a line that points to the certificate location.
-
ok Nick - sounds like it takes a complete server backup that would include JIRA and everything else that is installed. I take a backup of just my jira or confluence schema in the backup - maybe that will take less time and would also let me be selective about what I am doing a backup of. Your backup team would be more…
-
Florin - you better create a support ticket if it is in Cloud.
-
I would suggest to get the backend database checked - clear the content and reimport.
-
Did you get about somewhere on this Florin ?
-
Nick - by system memory what are you exactly hinting at ? Are you talking about filesystems - files and directories and the data, or something more discreet ?
-
Taking full backups everyday would not be a good thing to do as it consumes a lot of space- rather once a week. One full backup + differential is good for restoring.
-
You might also want to check the type of backup being taken - applications at times do not get restored on an incremental backup but would require a full backup.
-
Florin - you should have atleast one common user id to login to the new confluence and give permissions to the rest of the new users.
-
Were the previous users from Internal Directory or an External Directory ?
-
Can i still pull data to confluence from jira if issue linking is deactivated in jira ?
-
Actually Ann - on the Issue Linking Documentation page - I read the following line . Issue linking also allows you to: * Create an association between a JIRA issue and a Confluence page. So - is issue linking feature necessary for sharing data between jira and confluence ?

-Datlassian.mail.senddisabled=true use this on your setup if you are worried about your emails.

I'd suggest you raise a ticket to Atlassian Nicole - there was an issue with Confluence Cloud services performance and they have marked it as resolved at Mar 20, 17:47 UTC
