The literal meaning of those three words are also actually what it means in JIRA - their meaning and their features. Take an epic from a history - it will be formed of many stories - and each stories may have their own events ( tasks) I understand it as simple as that.

I had such issues before - i just imported my certs to JIRA keystore.

6 months to a year is a pretty big time - I'm sure your OS upgrade is a pressing for you, but I would also advise you use a newer version of JIRA with Win2016. One year of new JIRA experience wouldn't be bad and JIRA upgrade is a pretty smooth and easy practice.

I'd actually look for upgrading JIRA as well - that seems to be a pretty old version.

It would be great if upgrade activity triggers creation of a separate logfile called atlassian-upgrade.log which would actually log all messages of upgrade. I have seen that in a couple of other tools and make log checking pretty convenient.

Permissions Scheme ? Notification Schemes ?

Do you see any errors on your logfile ?

Do you see your list of Spaces ? Try going to your list of ALL SPACES

So when you click on CREATE SPACE nothing happens ?

Check your global permissions detail and see if you are a member of a group that is allowed to create a space.

The group that your user id belongs to - does it have the required permissions ?

That is something you should ask yourself - what you would like JIRA to do for your organization. Based on that search for add-ons and check of that satisfies your requirement. But now that you've already asked the question - try looking for add-ons that will create ISSUES in JIRA by actually not logging into JIRA :-) .…

catalina.log is more of your application server log ( tomcat apache ) log - look for atlassian-confluence.log instead.

You may want to raise a ticket to Atlassian - normally we get email alerts on any performance degradation of cloud services ( if you have subscribed to it ) - haven't received one today though.

If you are using Atlassian Cloud...i think you have been impacted by the recent confluence cloud outage impacting some customers. 

To make it simpler - can you tell me what url do you use to access confluence. Does it have something like . ..atlassian.net at the end ?

And yes - if you are using Confluence Cloud - your issue may be related to this current issue that Atlassian is investigating - check the page and subscribe for updates. https://status.atlassian.com/

Is your confluence on CLOUD or hosted in your organization ?

Its' your Database and it's connectivity issue.
