I'm very excited about this change, but as they say, the proof is in the pudding. I'm more than ready to play with it myself!

I'd still be in games (assuming no layoffs), if it weren't for the conflict of being a writer....

What happened to the Atlanta event? It seemed to disappear out of nowhere?

I don't know if this counts as Swag, as it's not "Stuff We All Got", but it's one of my favorite pieces all the same: However, if we are only counting "Official" Swag, my "Atlassian Creators" hat is hands down is my favorite to date: And Thank you Jimmy, for reminding me how messy my island is now. X_x But here are some…

Do #AtlassianCreator posts count?

@Inayat Nahvi Yes, we definitely should. I'm kicking myself now that I missed the opportunity for this year. So yes, absolutely should happen next year!

My tracking App shows them as delivered...🤔

@Chris K Unfortunately, Atlassian's recent stance is to add the bare minimum to Data Center. As such, I would not expect it to come to DC. Considering I'm part of an Org that also uses DC extensively, I keep hoping they'll surprise me.

Maybe eventually,@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- , but the data I have doesn't seem to imply that is currently happening. I don't think the financial incentive is there for apps to stay free permanently, but there is still plenty of reason for small apps to be free to at their inception. After all, for every Appfire or…

"our future investment is focussed on Performance and Scale, Security and compliance and Infrastructure and operations as these are critical needs for highly regulated customers." @Partha @Gosia Kowalska @Niall O'Riordan Again here is this saying. And again, I'm asking where the market research says this is all people…

@Matt Not saying I disagree with you, but I think it's a short sighted plan. Even VMware - who it could be said has established themselves as "Enterprise Grade" while Atlassian was still young - has a program to allow for reduced cost licenses for people to learn with. For example, the VMware User Group (VMUG) allows you…

@Troy Chaplin I've been watching this thread since it started, and have been preparing for today. I've already told Atlassian via my TAMs that I will be writing a follow-up based on what I've seen. So I'm going to let Atlassian say way they will, read it all again, and write my honest opinion based on what I've seen. After…

"Customers have told us are the most important areas for them: performance and scale, security and compliance, and infrastructure and operations." I keep hearing this line repeated over, and over, and over, and over again. It's been given as a justification for not investing in new features for DC. But seriously? That's…

From today's post on https://thejiraguy.com My Thoughts First, let me start by saying I sincerely appreciate Atlassian putting this statement together. Considering the tone of most of my writing on thejiraguy.com is very much Pro-Atlassian, I can imagine that last week’s article came rather unexpectedly, as did the…

"Some of you have shared concerns." Who, me? http://thejiraguy.com/2022/04/13/atlassian-we-need-to-talk-about-data-center/ Honestly, I still think large companies can absolutely use tools like Jira Work Management, Compass, and Atlas. Unfortunately for many of those companies, Data Center is their choice for a myriad of…

Hello @SuperGreen It's actually fairly easy to disable the backlog again within a Kanban board. First click the elipses on your board, then go to "Board Settings." Once there, go to Columns on the left hand sidebar, and remove the status from the "Kanban Backlog" space on the far left and place it into another column.

Hello @Ann-Marie Saucier-Gnall Unfortunately, I am not aware of any way to do this with base Jira. However, there are a number of Apps that might be able to help you with this kind of audit. My first recommendation would be Power Admin from Botrom (Appfire). I know it can return exactly what you are looking for, and is…

I have to agree, if I am understanding the question correctly, @Pramodh M's link would do what you require.

Hi @admin_jira1 , welcome to the community. Unfortunately, there isn't a good way to do this is a Jira instance without add-ons. It's not possible to specify something like the number of issues linked in a JQL Search, so we have no way to identify this otherwise. It might be possible to do this kind of search with the help…

Well Teri, I have some bad news. Under the default configuration, there isn't a way to query this. HOWEVER. With the right Apps, you can configure post functions at each transition that captures what you need into custom fields. Either JSU or JMWE would be able to set the appropriate fields with the current timestamp. Then…

Hi @Nirose , welcome to the community! Unfortunately, the only way I know to get this working is to have some sort of middleware that takes in requests from Tawk.to and converts them into API calls that Jira can understand. I agree to not use Zapier - they are the worst for middleware, but the only other option I can think…

Hi there @I. Riaño , welcome to the community. You'll mostly find people like us, who are Jira users and administrators who like to help others with their problems here. In your case, this is not a feature that is supported natively. However, you can get the job done with a Add-on (Referred to as an "App"), found in the…

I think I've seen this before, and Jack's last comment reminded me of it. What happened is someone included an issue on the sprint and started the sprint. Just for background knowledge, the board's query essentially said "Project = XYZ" so that all issues WITHIN the project were on the board. Midway through the sprint,…

So It's likely either a field configuration issue or a field context issue. For field configuration, go to a given project, then go the admin section, Then click "Fields" on the left toolbar. Once on the Fields screen, click the Pencil to edit the Field Configuration. Now we find our field in question, and make sure this…

Seems to be a few details here. First, what mechanism are you using to do the cloning? Are you using Automation for Jira, Scriptrunner, or something else? Depending on the answer to that question, my answer to the one you asked would be different.

I have to agree with John here. The best way to become proficient in Jira is to use it. I would get a free cloud account, and start trying to organize a personal project within the Application. Take a moment to deep dive and figure out the ins and outs, and figure out not only what the different features are, but how you…

From what I can read, the version of log4j that Atlassian uses for on-prem systems is not vulnerable out of the box. If you are running on-prem, you can configure it to be vulnerable, but you have to perform multiple steps to do so. They have already mitigated the vulnerability in cloud, so it is no longer a concern. You…
