Hi, as you can see in documentation (https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/upgrading-confluence-4578.html#UpgradingConfluence-Planyourupgrade) you can upgrade to latest version (if you have valid maintenance), but be carefull regarding plugins. First check compatibility with UPM…

Hi, can you share your log from INSTALL-DIR/logs/catalina.out? Just some part with errors (use code block for it).
-
Hi, and how many files is in directory? ls -1q | wc -l
-
Hi, can you share more details about your server (memory, count of CPUs, type of drive, DB,...) and application instances (jvm values per app, count of issues in Jira, some huge installed addons,...)?

Hi, if you have backup of HOME dir before MySQL upgrade than it could not be hard to recover it. You can follow up article for migration to another server (it's like your situation). https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/migrating-jira-applications-to-another-server-938846962.html Or as first you can try install…

Hi, it looks like page has been deleted. But you can find it also here in platform release notes - only link to Jira Sofware is that broken. But I think main changes you can find. https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjira/jira-7-2-x-platform-release-notes-826896232.html

Hi, best what you can do is follow chapters (step by step) of documentation for Jira linked below. https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/jira-software-documentation-764477791.html while you will have some theoretical background you should install your own Jira (you can install it on your local, but I recommend…

Are you using proxy server for Jira? If yes and you are using Apache (httpd) then follow this article. https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/long-urls-are-rejected-by-apache-with-request-uri-too-large-error-213519617.html Let me know if it was your cause of problem.

Perfect, but still is better is to use DBMS instead of text file "DB". ;-)
-
Hi, I hope you are not using it as production. HSQL is only for testing purposes so probably you have currupted DB files. Did you stop Jira before restart? So probably there is no other option than start with clear DB and with normal DBMS like PostgreSQL.
-
Hi, you have probably missing admin group in permission scheme for project. Follow steps mention in comment linked below and then you should be able to delete issue. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Re-How-can-I-give-a-user-permission-to-delete-bugs-and-tasks/qaq-p/229953/comment-id/95660#M95660

I just look again on part of your log and also it seems like your are running two Jira instances from one home directory. Can you confirm this? If yes you will need change home directory for one of those two instances. http://confluence.equestind.com/display/TROUB/How+to+Change+JIRA+Home+Directory

Hi, probably you cut your description of needs inserting into title. So from what I understand you want some resources for training and knowledge base. You can go inside of documentation for Jira and test everything what you need. You can find here a lot of informations, how-to's, and troubleshooting articles.…

Perfect, it looks good. But be careful with plugins. If it will looks good for longer time period and it helps then you can accept my first answer. ;-) Thanks

It's 300 MB with cache or without? If without than it should be ok until installation of any high resource plugin. If with then it's not so much, but just play around it. But really set both values to same value. It will consume more from start but with higher stability.
-
I think it's because of low memory. Try set MIN and MAX value to same "1650m". I know, it's lower than it's in documentation, but just for test. When you start instance then monitor use of RAM with something like 'htop'. If it will near 2GB t's probably still too high. If it help then you will must decide if you want use…
-
Hi, so what values for JVM you have in setenv.sh now? 2 GB of RAM could not be enough if you are installing Jira 8 as you can see in link below. Some part of memory consume DBMS and system. https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjira/jira-8-0-x-platform-upgrade-notes-964952608.html#Jira8.0.xplatformupgradenotes-memory Which…
-
Hi, can you share more details? * version * log * screenshot * size of document
-
As I can see you are running it on HSQL - I really recommend to use normal DBMS (for example PostgreSQL) https://confluence.atlassian.com/crucible/migrating-to-postgresql-298977510.html
-
Are you running it under dedicated user account? If yes you need run it under jira user (for example).
-
Hi, my fast hint: Are you running something another on port 8080? If yes, then just change port number(s) in INSTALL-DIR/conf/server.xml. You can follow this. https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver074/changing-jira-application-tcp-ports-881684079.html If not then follow steps provided by @Shannon S

Hi, your version is over EOL so I think you have only two options. * Recommended - Upgrade to some newer version to minimal 6.2.5+, because till previous version is also CVE-2017-14589 which is really critical (from my experience someone mining on Bamboo by this vulnereability of Struts * Risk - Try solve it with another…

Hi, no out-of-box. You can set priority schemes per project only. For your use case you should use scripting by Scriptrunner plugin. Some time ago I used it for custom filed values based on another field. But I don't have any example now.

I just edit my answer few seconds before you reply to it. :-)
