  • Hi @Jack Brickey Perfect, that has done the trick for me. Thank you very much. At the moment yes, we are still on the old view. It is a slow process to get different teams to adopt the new view, but we are getting there. @Veera The sidebar view is nice for a quick glance at the ticket without opening the card, especially…
  • Hi @Sam Smith Confluence (default) doesn't have this field last modified date, which rightly so would be very useful. However there is a add-on called QC Documents for Confluence which offers a number of awesome features including exactly what you are wanting. -Mike
  • Hi @badana.teja I am not sure about the server version but with the cloud version one can go to the Billing area and export a full list of Confluence users or any users for that matter and all the groups they belong to into a CSV file. -Mike
  • Hi @Bow Ferrari No it is not possible. I am guessing that is because the KB post is a generic post (visible by all customers in your customer portal), where as a Jira Ticket with attachments is customer specific. Would you want a customers attachment to be shared with everyone who has access to the KB post? -Mike
  • Hi @RamR I agree with @Jack Brickey about creating a simple project from scratch, in fact I would go further and say create two simple projects (a sandbox one) and the production one. The sandbox one will you can do testing on. You also need a plan and be realistic with the outcome because there is a bit of a learning…
  • Hi @Michal Blazejczyk When you say they use to did you mean: * They use to click on RAISE A REQUEST within Jira Service Desk, which opens the Request Form in the Customer Portal. * They select "Raise this request on behalf of": "Customer Service". * The "Share with" field appears on the bottom with all the clients…
  • Hi @Graham.Wilson Something like this: I know you don't want to go with an add-on, but this add-on is worth every cent (and it is really not a lot per month). The add-on is called Timesheet Reports and Gadgets for JIRA Cloud, - It has a ton of options and best of all, one can customise them and make them your own. One can…
  • Hi @Justin Leslie * Do you have a list of keywords either present in subject (summary) or body (Description) of the email? * Are all your requests coming into your queue via email or * Do you use a Customer Portal to accept requests? The latter (3) would eliminate all your phishing problems forever. I think you could…
  • Hi @Michael Edinger No! it is the other way around. 1 Parent page can have multiple child pages. Those child pages can then have multiple child pages as well. Why would you want two different parent pages? Can you provide and example and maybe I can understand. -Mike
  • Hi Lori, A quick way to see if you can do any of the above is to create and publish a page - Call it A. Then from page A click the + in the sidebar and create another page and publish it. Call it B. Repeat the step again and call the next page C. Your breadcrumb menu at the top should look something like this: Click the…
  • Hi @Mireille Gennaro Assuming you are Confluence Administrator do the following: * Click Space Settings. * Click Tab Look and Feel. * Click Sub Tab Header and Footer. * Enter in your copyright text in the Footer section and click Save. Result: -Mike
  • Hi @Stephan_Mallmann Thanks for the screenshot. I think I know what you are asking now. Firstly let me say the fields labels, is a JIRA field for labels entry and cannot be locked down to prevent label entry ... However what you could do is the following: * Create a custom field: (Jira Settings - Issues - Custom Field).*…
  • Hi @Stephan_Mallmann Can you give me an example of what you mean? Mike
  • Hi @Jorden Van Bogaert Well, you are right! There is a 500 rule execution limit per month, but that is ample for what we use it for and it is a great tool to learn on and is by far 500 times better than the built-in Jira automation. I don't think the paid version is worth it at $2.50/user/month and I do hope at some point…
  • Hi @Stephan_Mallmann In Project Setting, under Request Types, under Request Form if you add a labels field and hide it, you will be asked to fill in the labels with a preset value(s). Here you can define a hidden label or multiple hidden labels. Now if the customer selects the Request Type and fills in the form and clicks…
  • Hi @Hannes * What is your plan for your Service Desk? What are you trying to achieve? * Do you know the difference between a customer and a user (service desk agent)? * Why do you want users (A, B, C) to be customers? * Do you know what the different roles are used for? Before doing anything it is best to know the above 4…
  • Hi @Hannes Simple - educate your customers on how to use the Public facing Service Desk. Run through a live demo or provide a video or instruction. That way you eliminate the number of problem customers. Failing that, remove them from the customer portal. Advise them to use one of the people who are confident on raising…
  • Hi @John Sayers Automation LITE for Jira, is a free add-on and imo is better than the automation built into Jira Service Desk. -Mike
  • Hi @Mohit Khurana * In the old editor that was called an anchor and yes it would work. * In the new editor anchors don't exist anymore. * In the new editor one can copy a linked header and use that in another page to link to. * In the new editor one can link comments or words to other pages, but the other page loads the…
  • Fair points @Frank-Olaf_Nagel check out this link - https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Bulk-import-Word-documents-as-confluence-page/qaq-p/854500 specifically the comment from @skazar using webDAV and a JS-Script. -Mike
  • Not if those users are accessing your Customer Portal, through the account set up via the Organisation. Then they are effectively portal users. And if that is true, then you might want to consider looking into the licensing of those users, because Customer Portal users shouldn't have to pay for a licence. Potential savings…
  • Hi @Frank-Olaf_Nagel Do you have to import the document? What if the documents are stored on say Google Drive (docs) and through a plugin can be added and edited though plugin in Confluence. We use Google Drive & Docs for Confluence It is a great tool. One can view files direct from Google Drive or have a file open in…
  • Hi Ben, Are these licensed users on the same instance? Or are they viewing everything via the Customer Portal. When you say they can see the tickets via the portal, you mean customer portal view not Jira Service Desk view? -Mike
  • Hi @sho_tanabe Perhaps a Blog is not the right tool to use. * Why not create a page in Confluence, call it Daily Task lists and add a Content by Labels macro to it pointing to the label daily-tasklist then publish it. Now do the following each day: * Create your first task list name it My Daily Task list - 27/01/2020. *…
  • Hi @Saquib Fraz Confluence Versions can definitely go higher than 77 as I have experienced pages up to Version 145 and counting. Not sure deleting older pages is a wise move if auditing or backups are required, although I don't see any way of doing this. Atlassian Support might have the ability to do it for you. -Mike
  • Hi @Benjamin_Wettlaufer No, a customer can't see Confluence pages with filters, states and stuff. Only licensed users will be able to see that, even if the page is live in the Customer Portal. Customers can see Request and Issue Types via the Customer Portal, but those are defined by you under Jira Service Desk Project…
  • Hi @Kyle Kendall If using Chrome, have you tried clearing cookies, cache etc? Might be worth reaching out to Atlassian, maybe they can see why.
  • Hi @Kyle Kendall Are you a Project Administrator? This is the only way to create (write) reports, otherwise if you are a Service Desk Agent you will only have access to read reports. See this article where it explains the permissions…
  • Hi @JM You need to create a Jira Service Desk project. Once created do the following: * In JSD as admin click on Project Settings. * Click Knowledge base and you want to Link to a confluence page. * Under Viewing select: Everyone with access to your service desk can read articles without a confluence licence. * You can…
  • Hi @Shivani.agarwal * Are the spreadsheets in a document store and when clicked on open to be edited? Is this what you want in Confluence? It is possible to add all your Excel files to a page as attachments, and to list the attachments on the page using the Attachment Macro. -Mike
