Hi @Liam Short answer: Based upon reading Atlassian materials and experimentation, free license level customers apparently have little to no control over Atlassian use of their data in this manner at this time. Announced in an email to Org / Product Admins this week for "Upcoming changes to how Atlassian uses your data",…

Awesome; using an automation rule to handle the last step of adding the other link type was going to be my next suggestion :^) Please remember to let your Product Admin know before using that rule this way. With many Ideas to update, this could use quite a bit of automation capacity...perhaps pushing you over the monthly…
-
As you are a Product Admin for a paid license level, I recommend directly contacting Atlassian Support to open a ticket for this defect regression: https://support.atlassian.com/contact#/ When you hear back from them, please post what you learn to benefit the community. Thank you!

Thanks for that information, @Alejandro K_ Brown and... I recommend not using any bot / "AI" suggested information regarding smart values, actions, etc. for automation rules...including the stuff provided by Atlassian. My understanding is none of these tools have access to your complete product, configuration, space, etc.…
-
@Kamal Kishore -- To which space (i.e., project) did you import the work items? The approach I described works when selecting a non-JPD space and supplying the JPD item's key in the import for that "Polaris work item link" field.
-
Hi @Marcel Jünge You could use the Edit Work Item action with a dynamic JSON expression to add more Request Participants. For some additional details: * the rule actor needs to be someone who is an Agent to add to Request Participants * you may need a condition to confirm your source field is not empty * this KB source…
-
@Isabella Musial -- I am not currently using Jira Data Center, and so cannot recommend any specific apps. With your admin's assistance you could search the marketplace and perhaps try some during a trial period to learn which help.

Reviewing the documentation from that link, the two triggers which support the {{approval}} smart value are: * Approval Required: https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/jira-automation-triggers/#Approval-required * Approval…
-
Hi @Alejandro K_ Brown Without seeing all the details of your rule and audit log, I wonder: what is the trigger for your rule? The {{approval}} smart value is only populated with the approval-related rule triggers: https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/jira-smart-values-issues/#--approval-- Kind regards, Bill

Multiple level, issue cloning is tricky for out-of-the-box Jira features. This is why there are so many marketplace apps to help with this need. (Although, you are using Data Center version, and thus only have a few years left before that sunsets in March 2029, and I recall one can only purchase new marketplace licenses…
-
Hi @Gary Parker My understanding is the pull request-related smart values are only available with the specific PR triggers, and only provide information for that specific PR in the trigger. To check for other open PRs, one could use the Send Web Request action in a rule to call the REST API endpoints in your source control…
-
Hi @Kamal Kishore You may import the "Delivery Ticket" link to JPD Ideas by adding the Idea's key in the import, and then selecting the Jira import field from the dropdown as: Link "Polaris work item link" That Polaris link type is the internal name for the "Implements" one that shows up in the UX for connecting other…
-
Hi @ヴァリエンテ フロリアン_Florian Valiente_ I recall there was a recent problem where the cascading field's default value did not display in the UX but it was present when the work item saved. That may be the same cause...or the defect has regressed as broken again. Perhaps let the Atlassian Support team know to check for that. If…
-
Hi @Ahmud Auleear I recommend starting with the feedback / concerns already provided, reviewing those, and using them in support of any new information from the Zoom sessions. The existing information may help a prevent problem of only higher-license level customers' input (i.e., Premium and Enterprise) being used to…
-
Hi @skaul Yes, and...to what others describe: Some custom fields are not accessible in different contexts within rules and some are not accessible at all. Thus, the knowledgebase article noted by @Trudy P Claspill is often a better starting point for finding field references and which fields are supported by rules. For…
-
Hi, @Isabella Musial Earlier in this thread, I asked this question: Going back to the beginning, what scenario are you trying to solve with these rules? That is, "why do this?" Perhaps pausing to get that answer, we can determine what is not working to meet the need...and why. At this time, I am confused on the scenario.…
-
@Yusuf Khawaldeh -- While what you described as a review / report may be quite useful, getting and maintaining some of the info would be challenging / labor intensive. For the parts which cannot be automated, delegating the data-gathering to rule owners / space admins could help (until Atlassian adds better rule management…
-
Hi @Celia_Bras When I just checked this, it now appears to only way to do this from a JQL search is to * select the Apps dropdown * select "Open in Google Sheets", "Open in Microsoft Excel", etc. * and deal with any browser pop-up notifications Kind regards, Bill
-
Hi @Yusuf Khawaldeh -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community! TL;DR: start with the audit logs to find running rules and ask the rule owners for input before disabling, but not deleting rules. But, there is a lot more work to do! In my opinion, this starts with documentation, shared accountability through collaboration, and…

Hi @Ariel Yadin _ Bazz OKR Please review the community rules of engagement regarding posting marketing content, particularly for disclosures of AI tool use for content generation: * https://community.atlassian.com/forums/custom/page/page-id/rules-of-engagement *…
-
@Isabella Musial -- Regarding the updated text / rule information you provided: A person runs a rule with a Manual trigger. The actions of one rule (e.g., cloning an issue) cannot run a different rule with a Manual trigger. When "chained rules" are needed where one rule's actions trigger another, a different trigger is…
-
Hi @Isabella Musial Yes, and...to the questions from @Trudy P Claspill Please describe the flow you are expecting for these rules? For example, are you : * expecting a person to manually trigger one of these rules, or... * the first rule does something and you expect the second rule to run as a result of that "something",…

Hi @Germán Morales -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Please review the community rules of engagement for everyone and for marketplace partners regarding posting marketing product content: * https://community.atlassian.com/forums/custom/page/page-id/rules-of-engagement *…
-
Hi @Aaron Pavez _ServiceRocket_ I believe if the rule scope is changed to include all the projects / spaces involved, and then branch to the Most Recently Created Work Item after the cloning, the Add Watchers action could be used directly. This would allow doing this in one single rule. Kind regards, Bill

Hi, community managers! Please move this apparently AI-generated, marketing content to App Central: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/App-Central/gh-p/app-central Hi @Ariel Yadin _ Bazz OKR Please review the community rules of engagement for everyone and for marketplace partners regarding posting, particularly on the…

Hi @Vikrant Yadav There was a production incident for Rovo-related automation rules for the last several hours, and it appears to have been marked as resolved now: https://confluence.status.atlassian.com/incidents/4fwvl5sdyz7m Perhaps try testing your rule now. Thanks! Kind regards, Bill
-
Hi @Michalis Motis -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community! As Trudy describes, seeing your entire rule and audit log details will provide context for the community to offer better suggestions. Until we see those... It appears you are trying to use branching and a Created Variable to iterate over the attachments. That will…

Thanks, @Tanguy Crusson as I missed in the original thread that the feature it was for the Contributor views. Once again, thanks for being a responsive member of the community! Please feel free to "clean-up" this thread and delete my earlier comments if they takeaway from the release notice. Kind regards, Bill

Hi @Mike - Founder at Rewind As a reminder...when recommending a marketplace vendor product, please ensure you disclose your affiliation to that vendor in your post wording, and not just in your profile name / badge. For more information, please see: Atlassian Partners - Rules of Engagement…

You may have missed that link, @Tanguy Crusson because you have an Atlassian internal account :^) For the locked filters, I just checked a Free license site with an admin user, and on a Roadmap view there are no lock icons next to the fields in the filter configuration. Perhaps it has not rolled out to the site yet?
