There's so many. I find Stargate SG1 interesting. It may go a little off the rails, but I enjoy its lose connections to Egyptian mythology. I also recently got into Stranger Things - but that one took a few episodes to sink in and I may have enjoyed the references to the 80's.

Jira Ops is tied to incident management. It's a central working area for issues. Basically a hot desk for live triaging and collaboration. https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/ops Jira Service Desk has a more robust end user service request system that ties in with confluence for knowledge base articles and is useful…

You may want to have your exchange / email admin give this mailbox a specific retention policy to automatically delete its sent items after 30 days.

Take a look at the advanced workflow documentation. It may help spark some ideas: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/advanced-workflow-configuration-861253591.html#Advancedworkflowconfiguration-optionalpostfunctionsOptionalpostfunctions When you get into this though, a large number of people have installed…

I suppose you could script this. In my mind the framework would be: * Stop the test jira instance * Backup the prod database * Restore the prod database to test database * Sync the server attachments directories * Restart the rest jira instance Assumptions * test and prod are on the same version * test and prod have the…

A market place app like Issue Forms may be of help: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1215818/issue-forms-for-confluence?hosting=server&tab=overview Alternatively, if these questions were always coming into one dummy project from confluence, perhaps you could post function them in Jira on the workflow to do something.

If for example you have domainA\jsmith with an email address of jane.smith@domainA.com, and domainB\jsmith with an email address of john.smith@domainB.com Then you need to change the way your accounts are being mapped in LDAP. I would change the mapped account name attribute to be mail (email address). You really want…

There's currently 1,844 apps in the market place currently, just for Jira and that number fluctuates by the week and version of Jira (Cloud vs On-premise + Version of On-Premise). I haven't seen a full list of those, but if you're presenting a business case you may want to put into your documentation specific call outs to…

In my case, I setup an asset management project: It contains all the custom fields I needed, and I did an import into the asset management project from excel. You can give that asset a life cycle via workflow. Now, when there's problems with it, we open up jira service desk tickets and link those tickets to the asset. What…

I'm curious about the use case scenario a bit. Have you thought about it in the sense of creating a project, perhaps called site license, and having individual issues that are the site license with the custom fields in that project. You could then link to that project in reference to the site license, when a service desk…

Ah, mobile versions of everything, ideal!

Awesome, one way has a static date and the other has a dynamic that you can save as query and dashboard. Either way works though ;)
-
@Monique vdB I'll sacrifice, but you're buying the drinks :)
-
sigh... this is exactly how I feel right now. #NeverMissSummit #NeedingADoseOfAtlassian #SpreadTheLove
-
@Monique vdB, sometimes though, you have to play as part of the team against the dealer. That means, if you're sitting at end of the table and there's a chance you can cause the dealer to bust, you take the card for the table - oh, heck- I just made blackjack a team sport ;)
-
Key take away.... don't miss summit.. ever... It's like all your best friends had the best party ever and your excuse was, but I have work tomorrow.
-
Vegas is going to be AMAZING... Can we hold meetups at blackjack tables? Is that a thing? ;)

I actually know of a company in Chicago that has a glass wall with everyone's portraits on it. It is both cool and odd to stare at :)

Things to look at: Are you using a proxy and is the proxy passing the same url as you have set in confluence? Do you have any issues identified under confluence administration, troubleshooting and support tools - instance health? What's configured in server.xml, confluence.conf? Do they match the url of the site? Would I…

For a how-to article, there is one written on syncing to outlook: https://confluence.atlassian.com/teamcal/subscribe-to-team-calendars-from-microsoft-outlook-251005307.html

I would say, in this case create the folder called 'caches' in the JIRA Shared Home folder if it is missing. Set it to inherit the rights of the parent folder.
-
how about something like: created >= endOfWeek(-1) AND created <= endOfWeek() ORDER BY created ASC There's also the startOfWeek JQL that will get you the Monday, likely dependent on how you have Jira setup.
-
First, huge thank you for your commitment to the server platform. From the Chicago perspective, I hear a lot from Financial institutions and other organizations that have Jira, Confluence and other Atlassian applications on-premise to meet compliance, security, and other requirements. Some of these organizations have…

Awesome! We have a confluence event today @ Relativity in the loop. :)
-
Interesting, in the mean time - is this something you can accomplish with an issue search, some basic JQL, and column display?
-
Unfortunately, I'm in same boat as @April. I can justify a US summit, but going to Europe seems more like a company paid vacation vs a work related expense. I will be at the next summit though. This year will just be a skip / live stream where possible.

Cheers.

Correct, we tie to azuread to gain the benefits of MFA. All of our saml apps live there. We also use azuread instead of adfs since there is zero footprint required. An ha environment of adfs requires 4 systems and 2 load balancers. So it’s cheaper and you gain multi factor auth. Win win.
-
Yup it helps ;). I think if aug leaders got 10 user licenses to server products or more access to create users for hands on lab type stuff that would be awesome.

Hi Alicia. It works onprem as long as jira can talk to the internet and you setup webhooks as described. Teams to jira integration - I haven’t seen developed yet. Slack does it as I recall but teams not yet. Command line stuff for teams is in roadmap.
