I'd first check to see if you're missing any licenses for addons in Jira. If you're missing any, license them with free trial. You may also want to open a ticket with Easy Agile at - https://arijea.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/2 You are 100% correct, their license model for server is free.

Have you reviewed the documentation to deploy Jira Datacenter to Azure? https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver075/getting-started-with-jira-data-center-on-azure-937183335.html The easiest approach is to install this from the Azure Marketplace and let it automatically install and configure the instances.

Hi, confluence cloud is free for 7 days, no credit card needed. After that, you'll have a fee associated $10/month for the small instance. Cloud has different editor options and the confluence team is releasing an updated editor for it that is now started to deploy. It should be fully available in the next two months. The…

Hi Barb, this was just published to AUG leaders this afternoon by the leadership team. Please reach out to your Boston AUG leader for the code.

You can do linking within Excel to other Excel files. Can you provide more information about what you're trying to do and what the original is? Any thoughts about changing you excel calendar to teams calendars in confluence?

Active users who don't hold a Confluence license have very limited access to Confluence. They can view pages, but can't like, comment, edit, view the dashboard, use the space directory, see user profiles or search your full site. Review this link for more information:…

Awesome news, thanks for the feedback and glad your system is running :)

I like the connector option, going into mailflow and specifying from email server to o365 and spec'ing the IP address. Alternatively, if you're still hybrid and have a 2016-19 exchange server onprem, push mail through the hybrid connector.

Lets see what's in setenv.sh * From <jira-install>/bin, open setenv.bat. * Find the section set JVM_SUPPORT_RECOMMENDED_ARGS= you should see a JVM_MINIMUM_MEMORY and one for MAX as well. Update those. I like 4096 and 8192 for some reason as my first stabs. Update and restart Jira. Also, In Jira, what is Jira reporting as…

There's definitely some marketplace addon's that can help. You could try Spreadsheets for Confluence or Excel for Confluence

I think Microsoft demonstrated this with VSTS but I haven't seen it yet for Jira, some of that functionality microsoft has been developing with their plugin.

My prospective. Long time ago when I first started, I was that guy that sat quietly and provided feedback in an email after the meeting. Turned out I had both good and not good ideas - but they would have been more valuable to share in the meeting. My Manager at the time, started picking on me after that, which helped me.…

The struggle is always ongoing. It's good to get early adopters in and champions from various departments to meet regularly to discus concerns. It would also be good to get off of Lotus notes ;)

Hi Jeremiah, you're in a good spot. Look forward to meeting you at an upcoming event!

Literally stuck even remotely testing this out without the ability to change the workflow schema on this. When will the ability to change workflow schemas associated with a project come online?

For us, we use a template for KB information, they are submitted to a separate space where they are curated by the service desk team (typically the lead) and published into the KB. Labels are keywords to us. So you're searching for phone, skype, Outlook, etc. Our KB's are usually titled How-To: (whaterver), Quick-Tip:…

Hi Scott, In cloud, its under your work, recently worked on tab. This section is right off the main dashboard. To get to the dashboard, click the confluence icon in the upper left corner.

Hi Steve, the best thing to do in this case is to contact the Pricing, billing and Licensing team. They will be able to take a look at your specific licensing and make adjustments as needed.

Oh, on this topic.... I discovered linkedin learning has a few series on Jira, Jira Service Desk and Confluence. I've added those to my playlist to review as well to see how good they are - but, if you have access to linkedin learning, by all means take a look.

I would love to see training bites. Bite sized administration tips sent on a weekly basis. It could be tied into what's new in the releases or something else ;)

Hi Mafalda, there are two or three ways this is possible. Take a look at: Easy Integrations for Jira and Run CLI Actions There's always Script Runner as well that can likely take care of this.

The good news is you're in a high demand space. Talented Atlassian product administrators are extremely valuable - so feel good about the skills you have. For Jira, I would say key words like - Jira System administration, including project management, workflow changes, customization and system maintenance, including…

Hi, this is a limit, if you're logged on as a user in that directory you cannot edit it. You will need to use a different directory user account or the admin account. "You cannot edit, disable or remove the directory your user belongs to. This precaution is designed to prevent administrators from locking themselves out of…

To add links while editing confluence pages: 1. Highlight the text you want to link 2. Click the link chain icon 3. In the dialog box that opens, click web link on the left side 4. type the URL address 5. click Insert. Hope this helps! :)

We should talk next week at AUG Lunch. I'm curious about the group memberships. I simplified and without Crowd, pulled in SAML Claims to take in my AD groups. Might be a few other things we can kick around.

Tacos are indeed awesome. It's what's for lunch today.

In this case, there would be licensing requirements for all users. There is a concept known as anonymous access, but it has restrictions and of course, makes projects publicly exposed.

Certainly, you can have multiple directories linked and have an internal jira user directory. You will need to license those users. Some info on multiple directories -> link

Paw Patrol / Sarah and Duck is probably not an acceptable answer in this forum, but yes.. I feel your pain.

As a pick list? I can see why that would load. Mine is a custom field, but is not a single select list.
