Hi @lisa.tesler - If we're limited to a single board in next gen, then what I'd like to know is whether we can add the superset of columns to our board, and then set up filters to only show relevant columns, depending on what kinds stories we're working on in the moment? This probably isn't what you want to hear, but…

Hi @Alona Avruch - If Backlog is enabled but Sprints is not enabled, then it's definitely possible to create tasks directly on the board. However, to do that you'd have to navigate to the board and select + Create issue in the first column. Issues created through the generic create screen (+ in the blue global sidebar)…

Hi @[deleted] - Is this a next-gen Kanban project? In next-gen projects, you have to enable the Reports feature to get the reporting button to show up on the side bar. Here's how: * Go to your project. * Select Project settings. * Select Features. * Enable Reports. Hope that helps!

Hi @Carlos Palminha - I can confirm that when you select "Mark as Done" in the epic panel, it will only set the Epic status field to "Done". It won't impact the normal Status field. The normal Status field will change only if you set it as Done via the workflow. This is documented here. Hope that helps!

Mistborn absolutely blew my mind when I read it. I always loved Harry Potter as a kid, and as an adult I still think it's a wonderful story; but I've always found the magic a little lacking. Wizards wave their wands around, and magic happens - it just feels a bit "meh". But Mistborn? WOW. I love that Sanderson managed to…

It's hard to pick just one, but I do want to call out Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking. This book changed my life. It taught me that it's not only okay to be an introvert, but it can also be a strength and an advantage. A big deal for me, because as a kid I was always told I was "too quiet"…

As for your other question, you can't create multiple boards in a next-gen project. For now, each project can only have one board.
-
Hi @Kwai Ling Ma - We currently don't have a time tracking report for next-gen. With next-gen projects, we're redesigning everything from the ground up, so each individual feature has to be rebuilt separately. This is why there are currently only a few reports in next-gen compared to Classic projects. If you want to follow…

Hi @Brittany Funk - there are a few different ways you could approach this. What I would consider is breaking the Task 1 down into smaller tasks - let's call these Task A and Task B. So the component that was finished would be Task A, and this can be moved to Done. The component that is blocked would be Task B. And then…

Wait, so this show's about people put into individual apartments and you can only use social media? Yup! Or more specifically, they can only use a very specific social media provided by the show. So the only people they interact with are their fellow contestants (and that's not even face-to-face). I'd probably go insane…

Hi @kateu - If I'm understanding you correctly, you can accomplish this with the following steps: * Navigate to the report you want to link to, and copy the URL. * Navigate back to your project, and select Add item. * Select Shortcut. * Paste the URL you copied in Step 1, and give your shortcut a helpful name. Hope that…

Hi @Jeffrey Luna - you can only delete issues if you have the Delete issues permission for your project. There's more information available on this page. If you're not an admin, you'll need to talk to your Jira admin. Hope that helps!

There really isn't much I'd change in my current workplace; it's mostly a very supportive, welcoming, and kind environment. However, I do sometimes find myself getting exhausted or having trouble focusing. To that end, I'd love a dedicated nap room or something similar. Just a place where I can rest, even if just for 20…

@Tim Keyes - Funny you should mention that. I said to my Google Home the other day "Hey Google, play The Circle on the TV", and this was the movie that played. And I was so out of it, it took me a whole 5 minutes before I realized this wasn't the show I was looking for.
-
@Hi @Andy - PTC Redundant - The team has a public roadmap, which you can follow here. It details what features have been recently shipped, and what our teams are currently working on. Hope that helps!

So I just powered through The Circle in the last week. If you're into reality TV, I think you'll like it. I like to think of it as Survivor, but on social media. Contestants are put into their own individual apartments, and all interactions take place on a social media platform called the Circle.

@Sri Kumar For anime, I love Made in Abyss and The Promised Neverland. Very compelling stories, but very dark so definitely not for everyone.
-
Yeah I can second this. I definitely appreciated the prequels a lot more after watching the Clone Wars.

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- The last group is a lot of Agile (Software) terms, mainly Scrum ones. Unless someone has been through a Scrum Master or Product Owner course, I can pretty much guarantee that they don't understand what estimates are for or how Story points work (especially when used as the estimation). This is so…

Not so much a specific term, but when I was new to Jira I had to keep reminding myself the differences between Jira (as in, the platform) vs Jira Software. Now that I have a few years of experience under my belt the distinction between the two is pretty clear, but when I was new I really had trouble figuring out where the…

Hi @[deleted] - Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Hi @Marina - I don't think this is possible, because the chart takes its data from issue statuses, and doesn't seem to use any custom fields as input. However, what you could do as a workaround is create a Blocked status (or column) and exclude it from the control chart. Hope that helps!
-
Hi @Kent Chiu - This is explained in the Jira Software Cloud documentation, so probably isn't a bug: When completing an active sprint with incomplete issues, you can't directly move these incomplete issues to another active sprint. You need to move these issues to the backlog first, and then you can add the issues to the…

Hi @Terry - In next-gen Jira Software, the Epic link field doesn't exist. There's currently a feature request open to have this implemented, which you can follow/vote on/comment on here. Otherwise, there are two ways to have an issue assigned to an epic at the point of creation: * On the roadmap, you can hover over an epic…

@Max Foerster - K15t Very interesting! I actually didn't know that Data Center offered this. Thank you for the clarification.

Hi @It Soporte Tecnico - Jira doesn't have any notion of "closing" a project per se. If you want to hide the project without deleting it, you can follow the steps outlined on this page (see section How to hide (or archive) a project). Hope that helps!

@Dharma Ramos Yes it's great! It's hosted by Marc Evan Jackson (the actor who plays Shawn) and his guests usually include writers, actors, and other staff who work on the show. Great for behind-the-scenes insights, as well general commentary on the storylines.

Hi @Florien - If I'm understanding you correctly, you want to delete your Atlassian Cloud site xxxxx.atlassian.net, along with all its data. If so, you can cancel your subscription by following the steps outlined here. Once you've done that, the data will be removed 15 days later (if you're on a trial) or 60 days later (if…

Hi @gregory.abellanosa - I can confirm you can only select one option at a time on the Group by dropdown. Sorry I couldn't offer anything more helpful!
