This show is wonderful. Fantastic premise, funny jokes, great cast... It's just awesome. I recommend the podcast they release every week to go with each episode too.

I'd want a Remembrall from Harry Potter: I It's a ball with smoke inside, and the smoke turns red if you've forgotten something. Pretty useless in most situations. But I imagine it'd be so satisfying to feel like I've forgotten something (happens a lot when I leave the house), look at the remembrall, and know for sure that…

Hi @najam awan - I'm unclear what you mean when you say i cant assign task to one member in board Could you please clarify this? What happens when you try to assign them a task?
-
Hi @Sriwan 'Wan' Khomeeklang - if I'm understanding you correctly, issues in the DONE column of a next-gen board disappear automatically after 14 days. I can confirm also that the team is working on a way to manually remove done issues from the board. Check out our public roadmap for more information. Hope that helps!
-
Hi @Sarah Nattrass - When a sprint is complete, it doesn't actually go anywhere. However, you can navigate to Reports > Sprint report (in classic projects) or Reports > Sprint burndown chart (in next-gen projects) to see summaries of past sprints. Hope that helps!
-
Hi @maria.elert - next-gen Jira Software doesn't have the Quick Filters feature that classic Jira Software does. It does have some filters by default (like assignee, label, epic) but nothing that you can configure like you can in classic. Hope that helps!
-
Hi @Miles Gundy - I don't believe this is something that any of our teams are working on, but please do leave your thoughts on either of the feature request tickets (Cloud, Server) so we can think about it in future. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

Hi @vgross - You can't assign workflows to next-gen projects in the same way that you can in classic projects. In next-gen you can add, remove, and rearrange the columns on your board to create very simple workflows, but that's it. I can confirm however that configurable workflows (which can be copied across next-gen…
-
Hi @Gendric Jose Morales Viviani - Furthermore, you should also keep in mind that if you have a Jira Software Cloud license, all users can create next-gen projects. Next-gen projects are independent, and thus they should have no impact on the configuration of any other project in Jira. However, if you still want to…

Hi @Timothy - There's an article on Atlassian's agile website that goes into this topic in detail, which you can check out here: Five agile metrics you won't hate. Hopefully you get some useful tips from it. Hope that helps!
-
Hi @Kirby Wanner - If I'm understanding you correctly, the answer is yes. Reports in Jira Software (including the Velocity chart) are tied to the board, rather than the project. So you should be able to create a JQL filter that includes both projects, and then create a board based on that filter. And then when you open…
-
Hi @Sachin Vashistha - There's a page on Atlassian's documentation that covers the bulk move process for next-gen to classic. You can check it out here. Hope that helps!
-
Hi @Kevin Sauvageau - As far as I know, the method you've suggested is the only way to change a Story/Bug/Task to a subtask. But if you don't want to go through that hassle, depending on the nature of the tasks you might find it more appropriate to link the two issues, to indicate a relationship between them. For instance,…

Hi @AB - Further to @Mohamed Benziane's suggestion (which is a great guide!), if you're using Jira Software I can also recommend the Scrum and Kanban guides, which give new users a good idea of how to get their project up and running. * How to do Scrum with Jira Software * How to do Kanban with Jira Software
-
Hi @Timothy - I'm not sure about throughput, but you can get cycle time and lead time using the Control Chart in Jira Software. * Navigate to your Jira project * In the project menu on the left, select Reports. * Select Control chart. Hope that helps!
-
Hi @Benjamin Preminger - Thank you for raising this. This is actually an error in our documentation; it is not possible to create issues directly on the board when a sprint is in progress. I've now corrected the page. Hope that helps!
-
Hi @Juvenal Trajano da Filho - If I'm understanding you correctly, the reason your board is showing as blank in this scenario is because all your issues have no subtasks. When you select Group by Subtasks, the board will show Stories (or Bugs or Tasks) as the heading of each swimlane, with each issue's subtasks as the…

Hi @eugene - Since you're a site admin, you should be able to check the billing of your site to see if Jira Software is part of your subscription, like this: If your site does have Jira Software, then perhaps the problem may be you have access to Jira Core, but not Jira Software. Keep in mind that the business templates…
-
Hi @eugene - Next-gen is a type of software project, and therefore should be available to anyone who has access to Jira Software Cloud. Could you confirm if your Jira has a Jira Software license? If you do have access, you should be able to select Software when you go to create a project.
-
Hi @Swati Rathore - I don't believe this is possible. JQL can do things that are similar, but not quite the same. Like if it was a specific date you wanted to compare against, you could run the following search: project = "My Project" AND status changed to "Done" BEFORE "2020/01/15" Or if it was a timeframe you wanted to…
-
Hi @Michael_Ulch - According to this blog, you can have your site name changed by contacting Atlassian Support. Alternatively, you can do a migration to a new Atlassian Cloud site - the steps are described on this page. Hope that helps!
-
Hi @Federico Rocca - I don't think this functionality is available in Jira out-of-the-box. I believe there are Marketplace apps that allow you to do this, but I don't have any experience with those.
-
Hi @Dylan_E_Adams - What is the name of the custom field that was deleted?
-
Hi @Mariusz Zalewski - from what I understand, the answer is yes - you should be able to link your Confluence Server and Jira Software Cloud. You might find the following pages useful: * Link to server products from cloud * Using AppLinks to link to other applications Hope that helps!
-
Hi @Randi Pruitt - Are you using a classic project or next-gen project? Parallel sprints can only be done in classic Jira Software.
-
@chassidy rentz - If that's the case, then you could use issue links, to link all stories related to the one piece of work together. This is a good way to track tasks that are dependent on one another, especially if you're using the Roadmap in next-gen.
-
Hi @Miles Gundy - Unfortunately, this isn't something you can do with Jira out-of-the-box. There is a feature request open related to this, which you can view, upvote, and comment on here. I believe there are Marketplace apps you can install which will add this functionality, but I don't have any experience with these.

I also thought about having a parent story/defect ticket and linking child story/defect tickets to it... 1 for each team that has to work on the story/defect. Each child ticket can move to DONE when development for that team is complete, and the parent ticket can move to DONE after all children are complete. If I do it…
-
Hi @Vishnu Vasudevan - There is no board settings screen in next-gen like there is in classic; board settings in next-gen are configured on the board itself. As for your specific question, in next-gen there are no filter options. Next-gen boards have just the one filter, and a default set of quick filters (labels, epics,…

Hi @edgarcia - Here's how to share dashboards: * Navigate to your dashboard. * Select more (•••) > Find dashboard. * On your dashboard, select more (•••) > Edit and share dashboard. * Under Shares, add the people you want to share the dashboard with. You'll also get this option when you first create the dashboard. Hope…
