@Mark P_ there might be boards in the workspace that are not workspace visible, do you have other workspace members who might have created private boards?
-
@Michael Pryor that's right, being added as a member watches the card, but you can unwatch a card you're a member of and you can watch a card you're not a member of. There's also a little "watch" checkbox that is checked by default when adding a comment, but you only have to uncheck it once. You can use Butler to…

@Chris Molyneux i fixed this with my product BenkoBoard: http://www.benkoboard.com/ you get a linked card whenever you're added to a card or mentioned in a comment, and it unwatches any card you're added to. This, to me, is the perfect amount of notification, but the upshot is that you'd need to re-educate people that if…
-
@Valéry MOAN it's not out yet. Last estimate I saw from @Michael Pryor was "end of May-ish" ;) I can't wait!!
-
@Michael Pryor I think he's actually talking about the impending "linked cards" feature ...
-
@Ashleigh Smith this BenkoBot code will do it: https://trello.com/c/XTVxXVoJ You can save and run that code repeatedly to do what you need. There's a bunch of other examples (and more to come!) in that board too.
-
@John for the dynamic dropdown list, I think you'll have trouble getting this done as a dropdown. When I implemented a similar thing I had it so you create a card with a name and then you get a checklist of linked cards from the directory board that have a partial name match. You can then check off an item to select that…

@Virginia Le this seems like a timing issue. Your first command that copies the cards, sets the due date in a custom field then sets the due date based on that custom field finishes running before the DUE DATE NEEDED label has been added, my guess is that the "when due date is set on card with label DUE DATE NEEDED" is…
-
@darkcommander 27 if you make it workspace visible and add people to the workspace then you can restrict permissions to commenting only and team members will be able to see and comment but not edit or move cards.
-
@Marnie Stein it sounds like the custom fields power up has been disabled, if you re-enable it all your data should be there still.
-
@Aaron Joseph de Leon what do you mean by "coding"?
-
@Lilianne Bidwell the way to do that would be with automations, for example you could create a Butler rule: when a card is created by @username add member @otherusername
-
@DANIEL MCVEAGH Could this be caused by the fact that, even if you have email notification delivery set to instant, they won't be sent if you view the notification on any other platform (mobile or web)
-
@Viki Garrison That's right, we have BenkoBoard for individual emails and BenkoDesk for shared email addresses (like support/sales): http://www.benkoboard.com/ http://www.benkodesk.com/
-
@darkcommander 27 they either have an automation that detects attempted changes by non-HR people and then reverts the pages -- this is not realy security though. It's pretty easy to circumvent if you're a malicious actor but it prevents inadvertent changes to an extent. Otherwise you can create a board, add it to a…
-
@Valérie Bernard I actually found this a bit hit and miss recently: in some cases I was unable to move boards between workspaces as I should have. I'm not sure why. Anyway if you want to move all your boards to a new workspace you can run this BenkoBot code, just edit the name of your target workspace up the top -- BUT…
-
@Laura Zuckerman Hey Laura, I run a Trello automation consultancy: https://www.benkoworks.com/ We have created several products based on Trello, including an automation platform that provides some more power than the built in Butler tool: http://www.benkobot.com/ You can grab a spot in my calendar to discuss on the site.…
-
@John Schurman there are no if statements in New Butler like there were in Butler Bot, but this BenkoBot function would do the same thing: https://trello.com/c/Ga3zwYKd There are other example cards on that board too.
-
@Carlos Pozos Ochoa yep just use the same URL that is set up for all your other boards. You can see by running this piece of code: https://gist.github.com/iaindooley/ee64dd680d1991ede55aa5cb7ef843bd just grab your token from the Configuration tab and put it in there. You can use that webhook directly the same as you would…
-
@Philipp Ludwig I plug it in with my product BenkoPhone which is currently in Australia only, then I automate the card creation using BenkoBot when the message arrives.
-
@yaharin ben ayon hey I created a product that does this for any cards you're added to or comments you're mentioned in: http://www.benkoboard.com/ It also lets you use Trello as a Gmail client.
-
@Isaac Tanner-Dempsey okay in that case you're probably looking for a more generic form builder such as Google Forms or JotForm, then you want an automation platform like Zapier or similar. If there's anything you can't achieve with the no code tools then we can help out with BenkoBot.
-
@Nancy Cooper It sounds like you have inadvertently added a filter/search to the board. Look for a little "x" in the top right where it says "search results" in green, or hit the "x" key on your keyboard.
-
@Extus Justin you don't close workspaces, you delete workspaces. If you delete a workspace, then the boards from that workspace shouldn't be deleted, but the boards may be closed instead.
-
@ShininG.TeaM Can you see them in the list of closed boards? If you added more than 10 boards to a free workspace when all boards were moved to workspaces, and the free trial has ended, then some of the boards will have closed.
-
@Evan Light yeah such a pain. Trello actions used to work with the old Workflows app before Apple acquired them and turned them into Siri Shortcuts, but the Workflows app wasn't voice activated! I was so stoked when I saw Siri shortcuts with voice activation, but then disappointed to find that my voice shortcuts still…
-
@Philipp Ludwig have you tried calling it something different? Also when you speak, Siri should show you what it's interpreting your speech to, does the speech showing on the screen match the name you chose for the shortcut?
-
@Isaac Tanner-Dempsey What don't those options do that you need them to do?

@Virginia Le here's the documentation on butler variables: https://help.trello.com/article/1157-variables here is the information on how lookup vs find works: https://help.trello.com/article/1193-butler-card-lookups
