@Troy Anderson Oof. Maybe they're migrating to Cloud? :-D I would heartily recommend The Better Atlassian Cloud Changelog as an alternative (that pulls from that Blog as its source. When it's up.)
-
Thanks to my colleague Brian (who is not an Admin), I discovered YET ANOTHER place where Atlassian needs to STOP trying to prompt our users to connect tools that are outside of corporate policies — Rovo Search results: I guess I will be filing a new support ticket. :-/
-
As of February 2026, a list of available tools is at: https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-rovo-mcp-server/docs/supported-tools/ (Thanks to @Ibby for the pointer.)

OH, so it wasn't swag at an Atlassian conference, nor was it even from the folks who put on the Atlassian Builders' Summit but I think as part of some LA Dodgers promotion at the hotel, Tito's Vodka was giving out free samples (tiny tiny samples) of drinks and.... bandanas!
-
@Avery W_ Krouse Ah RSS feeds. A man after my own heart (even though I actually "monitor" these forums by email which is incredibly ineffective). But I appreciate your use of the right tool for the right job. But ok, I will concede that some people must like and make good use of Live Docs. That's all fine and well. But why…

Ooof, I just had a horrible thought: Higher up inside of Atlassian, rubbing his hands together: Yesss, next we should try to do Confluence Spreadsheets..... and then maybe Confluence Slides. Wait wait, hear me out... CMail
-
Shout out to @Kristian Klima who first alerted me about the shortcut changes, specifically as they affected Labels. I don't use that one much, but I use C to Create all the time and I will be severely annoyed when it's taken away, because that message above makes it very clear that we don't have a choice. :-/

OMG, the Adaptavist Tony's Chocolonely bars were So. Damn. Good. I think these were a Barcelona-only thing? Easier to import there. (See also: custom Atlassian Lego sets caught in customs) OH! And I almost forgot that Champions ALSO got Tony's: I swear, I waited at least until the award ceremony was over and everybody had…

Ugh, bad news, y'all. @Zachary Howard wanted to convert in the opposite direction: Can anyone help me figure out how to auto-convert Live Docs to Pages? Which ALSO lacks an API endpoint, and whose cgraphql operation is a lot more complicated. After many headaches, I came back to this operation to see if it still worked,…
-
So, unsurprisingly, Rovo's wrong. :-} But double dang-it. I tested my previously working cgraphql hackery from How can I use Automation to convert a page into a live doc? And can confirm: Automation (or specifically Automation's IP address range) is BLOCKED from making calls to cgraphql endpoints, whereas making the exact…
-
Well, crap. I figured out how to get Content and Version, but for the life of me I cannot get Automation to send a Web Request that the cgraphql endpoint will accept. I've literally copied the payload from the curl example (which WORKS!) and also used a webhook.site to confirm that the payload from curl looks exactly like…

So, I have some good news, and some bad news. Good news: You can convert a Live Doc to a Published Page using an API Token! And... yeah, you just need to give the endpoint the variables you found. Bad news: Getting the data for those variables (content, version), is proving harder than expected. At least not without making…
-
Heyyyy, @Zachary Howard ! Yeah, it seems that it uses browser cookies, but a hidden secret about Atlassian is that if the endpoint is YOURHOST.atlassian.net, there's a pretty good chance a regular API token will work. You just need to try it! Which... I did, back in November: How can I use Automation to convert a page into…

So this nearly a necropost, but thanks to @LeanZero SRL and @Bill Sheboy it's been resurrected, hallelujah! So back in I noted that this: Resulted in a FAILURE to reach the third IF condition if one of the first to IF conditions failed. And now I have a rule I recently created where I used IF blocks and duh, I guess that…

Pix? I'm wondering if I ever had this Refined bottle.

Great article @Andrew Zimmerman ! So, I realize I wrote Where are the Release Notes for Release Tracks? and forgot to provide important context on why I spun up https://releasetracks.atlassian.net/wiki in the first place. Way back in December of 2024, Atlassian "decluttered" the Quick Add Menu which had an unforseen side…
-
So when we say swag, we're talking about freebies, NOT prizes from raffles, right? Because @Matt Doar _Adaptavist_ mentioned Lego, and @Barbara Szczesniak mentioned a laptop backpack (I mean, I guess one or two of the Summit bags were technically a laptop backpacks but I remeber they were kind of flimsy), but typically…
-
That looks amazing @Stephen_Lugton - thanks for sharing!
-
How has @Rodney Nissen _Work Wranglers_ _TJL_ not responded yet? When I met him at the ATL airport he had a dedicated Pokemon Go auto-catcher thingy hanging off of his backpack.
-
Thanks @Arkadiusz Wroblewski - awesome answer indeed. Yes, I knew it wasn't just because we're on 10.0.0.0, however it would be interesting to know if it happens when users are not on designated "private" networks. I know a little bit about CORS issues (mainly because after we moved to cloud, all of the Confluence iframe…

I kid though - I'm a huge fan of Tampermonkey. Most recently I plugged this User Script: * (Grease|Tamper)monkey User Script to expand all comments

Cool, reminds me of Trello board backgrounds, but with way more work to setup. :-} Amirite @Brittany Joiner @Mike - Dreamsuite Consulting?
-
Ah, my test rule was broken for other reasons, hehe. This should still work. To diagnose this we will need to see what response the API returns. You can get this by adding a Log action block after the Web request and have this for the Log message: {{webResponse}} A successful operation will look like this:…
-
Hey @Matt Richards - just tested my test rule, and alas, it seems broken, so they must've changed the endpoints (which is of course a risk of using undocumented API endpoints. :-) Let me see what they did...

@Joseph Zinnecker driving for fun? I mean, on purpose? :-} But yes, also Austin for RovoCon, also Anaheim for Team. Boston for my kid's graduation after Team. Which yikes, I need to start booking those flights. The RovoCon trip is actually an excuse to take a qualifying flight to earn a Southwest Companion Pass for later…
-
Upon closer inspection, Rovo (maybe AI in general) loves to make pairs of things. Amongst its original categories were: * Notifications & Access * Slack & Notifications (ummm) * Search & Discovery * AI & Analytics Ugh. It's like it's trying to write a pop song title. Anyways... 2026.03.10 - Confluence Bundled Release…
-
Ugh, Rovo is super-inconsistent. It worked great two hours ago, and just now it's being an idiot. Anywho, all of these features are for Jira, and some of them are for JSM, and JPD, and that just confuses me and Rovo, so if you are specifically interested in those products, you should check the original Jira Release Email…

Oh dur, I didn't look at your example. So the problem with is that is the number of child tasks is variable. I guess the new Dynamic Lookup Tables could help me out here. Oh, I can access the index... I could do: Table variable name = childissue Dynamic Souce = {{lookupIssues}} Define Entries: key = index value = key So I…

Hey @Haddon Fisher no need for modesty. I've seen your distinctive avatar all over these forums along with your posts. And man, that Jiramancy! We are all garage band dads, and we are all Bruce Springsteen. And Spartacus. Yeah, in the first iteration of this rule, it was just one rule, and doing it in a JQL branch…

OH thanks @Akash Singh ! I was wondering how the app Default Values for 'Create Issue' screen - Issue Templates is doing what is doing, and this is probably how! I found the section of the video where Marcin specifically talks about creating a Template: at 15:58. Alas I don't see that in the sample code that is…
