Hi - it looks like you're talking about the new Action Items in Jira. You are correct that markdown is not supported for adding checkboxes ("action items") via the API, Automation, etc. I haven't tried using the API to add tasks, but looking at the API v3 Get issue endpoint you can see how Action Items (checklist) data is…

Thanks for directing us to that link @Morgan Wang. What's interesting to us is that while we "turned on" company hub just over a month ago, and we have 632 Views, we have ZERO clicks. That can't be right. It then occurs to me that maybe Analytics for Company Hub can't track the clicks because we are using the "Include…

Happy new year @Bill Sheboy! So a big surprise to me was that Automation for Confluence and Jira recently added a Delay action! This isn't in Confluence documentation yet, and was pointed out to me by a Support engineer: With the following help text: Delay What does this component do? When this action is added to a rule…

Hi @Reena Yadav -- Maybe the Task Report Macro might work for your needs? As @John Funk correctly points out, if the tasks are all in Confluence, you can get a list of tasks (and their status) via the API. The Get tasks endpoint would allow you to query for tasks associated with a specific page ID, and also for tasks where…

Hi @Prasanth Sundararajan -- If you're talking about tabs in an issue screen (as described here) I don't think there's an API for selecting just the fields in a given tab. You could just use the Get issue API endpoint because data for all fields should be there. If for some reason you need to programmatically know which…

@Trudy P Claspill brings up a great point. My suggestion that you upgrade and then cancel the subscription presumes that you subscribe to Atlassian Guard and are able to Join the product as an admin. If this is not the case, then you'll need to do as Trudy suggests and ask the person to cancel the site themselves.

Hey there @Prathim Mukherjee! You're probably running into this issue: * Why is Atlassian promoting Shadow IT? Or Accidental IT? One of the more frustrating things about this situation is that when a site is accidentally created, it probably is created at the free tier, so you can't actually easily file a Support ticket…

Hi @SGC Associates Ltd, I'm sorry to hear you're having issues. If you can, it'd be helpful if you can take a screenshot of your rule or at least the parts with the web request and the part for the Comment. This is an example of what should work in your case: Hmmmm, actually, considering what you posted includes Webhook...…

I was trying to find documentation for this, but it's embarrassingly scant: * Jira automation actions - Send web request * Automation for Jira Server (on-prem) - Send web request action now provides response data (Even though these are docs for the on-prem version of Automation, the concepts apply, however you will want to…
-
Hi @SGC Associates Ltd and welcome to the Community! You'll want to use: {{webResponse.body.message}}
-
Gah, coal for asynchronous/parallel executions! I was unable to use Page Properties, because Automation keeps trying to update the property at the same time for every PageID it finds, and so I get version collisions.
-
Ah, I feel like this should be its own question @Daniel Blomqvist ! The problem you're running into is that Automation doesn't allow HTML in the Edit Description field - it's expecting Markdown. If you really wanted to update the Description with rich content from Confluence (like tables), MAYBE you could use Advanced Edit…
-
Hi @Daniel Blomqvist - You mention a Description field. So are you trying to capture text from a given Confluence page and include it in the description of a Jira ticket? Interesting! First off, in your Web Request to the Confluence API, you should definitely be checking this box: [x] Delay execution of subsequent rule…

Hey @Bill Sheboy hopefully we can take a break for the holidays soon, although kind of crazily I think about this stuff "for fun". So... yes, I should be able to parse out Page Ids from full URLs just using the match operator on URLs like this: full URLs that have the PageID embedded,…
-
Optimized by removing "url==", because I'm not searching within a particular field: So then: urlList: {{#webResponse.body.body.view.value.match("<a\\shref=\\\"([^\\\"]+)\\\"")}}{{.}}{{^last}}~~{{/}}{{/}} Branch to find Page IDs for "relative" links: {{urlList.split("~~").match("(\/wiki\/spaces\/.*)")}} Branch to do Page ID…
-
AH, I actually think this is possible with 4 and 5. 4 feels like a little inelegant, because I'd be running the same branch 3 times and ignoring the failures. But with 5... I can filter it... So I created create this variable, urlList:…

Oooh @Shivam Sharma - Optimizory is that a tote bag? I wonder if that was the "grand prize" swag bag. :-}

Hey thanks for your regex, @Andreas Eckhardt. I was trying to find links on a page using Automation, not Python, so the syntax is slightly different, but the concepts are the same. One thing I discovered that might be helpful to you or others is that I did not want to have to construct links out of the <ri:page ... >…

Option 3: Atlassian fixes their broken funnel/sign-in process 😾 I mean, sorry. I think they're TRYING, at least with Jira: Which I guess might explain why I'm seeing fewer accidental Jira sites and more Confluence, as Confluence does not have such pop-up/suggested site: But @Rodrigo B_ and @Mithun R K if you guys work on…

Here's a fun fact. You cannot file a ticket for a Free Site created by Managed Users. Because it does not show up in your list of products. So I have an extra step of UPGRADING to Standard just so I can request expedited deletion.

Urgh. Not even a day later, TWO NEW SITES. :-{{{{{{

Hi all! So I think that maybe @Ferry Portier has disabled Personal Spaces for users at the Global permissions level: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/manage-global-permissions/ So one way to grant access to a single user to have a Personal Space would be to create a "personal-space" group, grant that…

GOOD GRIEF, I really do need to actually write a proper script that keeps a database of discovered sites. Turns out Atlassian Guard (sic) "discovered" a site in the past day or two that was created... AUGUST 5, 2024. That's... FOUR MONTHS ago. Org admins never received an email about it or anything. *SIGH*
-
YOU GUYS. I have an idea. So, I have a strong suspicion that somebody at Atlassian doesn't think this is a problem, because "Hey, users can get to their existing sites from the home page already via the Application Navigator button next to their avatar": In the immortal words of Wayne Campbell, "Sh'yeah, right!". I feel…
-
Hey @Niraj Patil - I've signed up for the opportunity, but since it's clear you work on the Application Navigator team, I wonder if I could offer some frank feedback here. While your screenshot shows the Navigator in the context of somebody already working in Jira or Confluence, I believe the same code is used on the…

Ooof, after my last post, we didn't make it TWO DAYS before ANOTHER site was created that I didn't even notice until now. Clearly I have NOT automated this, despite all of my research into APIs, NOR I did not get a ransom note notice about "Products created outside of my org"! Ooof, did their automation take the day off…

Thanks @Matt Doar _Adaptavist_ and welcome to the community. ;-) One of my users asked for this and I was happy to find this answer and also find that it worked... I noticed a slightly shorter URL in the feed that seems to return the same data: https://YOURSITE.atlassian.net/activity?key=YOURPROJECT

I was so pleasantly surprised to see this feature... it's pretty cool.

Hey @April Chi reposting with a proper tag: A few questions: * Is this compatible with Azure AD for nested groups? * If we've switched from SCIM to Azure AD for nested groups, is this functionality unavailable to us? * Does this synchronization allow us to BLOCK users from creating their own teams? Or at least teams with…

Joining the party late, but yeah, 1%er here, and not the filthy rich kind. We really wanted to get to Vortex (c'mon, that's so much fun and easier to say and type than "Centralized User Management Experience"), mainly for the new User access admin role, but also because a certain EAP to address JSDCLOUD-5782 - Support…
