Hi @Peter Mott ! Here's a VBA add-in I wrote that uses the REST API for Jira. You can use this as an example of how to authenticate.https://github.com/dagiz007/ExcelAddin4Atlassian

Hi @Joe Ketchum ! And welcome to the Atlassian Community. Switch to WinHttp.WinHttpRequest.5.1—it provides more control, especially for authentication and proxy handling, and often works better with external APIs. Set Http = CreateObject("WinHttp.WinHttpRequest.5.1") That will resolve the error message you're getting :)

Hi @Daniel Gregory, welcome to the Atlassian Community! There are already ready-made Excel apps for extracting data, such as this one: https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-gb/product/office/WA200000556?tab=Overview If you’d like to use VBA, I’ve created a setup for authentication and working with the REST API, which you…

Hi! What you’re trying to achieve is currently not possible. However, I see there are a couple of change requests that you can vote on: [JSDCLOUD-5782] Support linking non same domain JSD Cloud instances as knowledge base - Create and track feature requests for Atlassian products. [JSDCLOUD-8335] Integrating Jira Service…

Did the code example work for you?

Hi @Vivek K Are you sure you have authenticated yourself? Logging in requires encoding the username and Token to Base64. .setRequestHeader "Authorization", "Basic " & EncodeBase64(strAtlassianEmail & ":" & strAtlassianToken) The function below requires that you add "Microsoft XML, v 3.0" under Reference (Tools->Reference)…

You don't need to parse to JSON when you send it in the URL. That's only necessary if you're sending it as a JSON object (which is recommended). Here's an example of how I create a JSON object to create a new Jira issue
-
Ah, you pass the variables as parameters in the URL. You can try using %0A for a line break since it's in the URL (similar to how spaces are replaced with %20).

Hi @Damien Lohier and welcome to the Community! The simplest way is to download and attach a JSON library for VBA. I personally use this one: https://github.com/VBA-tools/VBA-JSON The description string, which may contain line breaks using, for example, vbNewLine, can then be converted to valid JSON using…

Hi @Lde Buhr and welcome to the Atlassian Community! Have you authenticated yourself with this code? You probably need a Base64 encode, right? And is the URL for creating an issue not correct as well? What do these return? Debug.Print <span>"Response text: "</span> & xmlhttp.statusText Debug.Print <span>"Response content:…

Hello! Yes, it is possible to achieve this. You can use Jira Automate and set up a trigger for when the "Due date" changes. If it changes, you can then update the "Due date" on all the related issues. How you link issues together is up to you; for example, you can use linked issues or ensure that the issues are part of the…

If the solution solved your problem, it would be nice if you could accept the answer below (then the post will be marked as solved). Hava a nice day! :)

I think you have to enter this per repo. Different repos might go to different Jira projects, and then you need to refer to the correct Jira-/ProjectKey.

Hi @[deleted] and welcome to the community! To create links from GitHub to Jira, you need to set up "Autolink references" in GitHub. Here's how to do it: * Navigate to your GitHub repository and select "Settings". * Choose "Autolink references". * Click on "Add Autolink references".* Select "Alphanumeric". * In "Reference…

Can you check if the checkbox under the 'Scheduled' section is unchecked?

Hi Andrew! Welcome to the community. I think this rule will solve your case.
-
Hi Mat! Here's a proposed solution. 1. Create a custom field named "Can Transition" with a default value of "True." 2. In the workflow for the "base-level issue," create a condition for all transitions that checks whether the value in the "Can Transition" field is "True." 3. Then, create a Jira Automate rule that sets the…

Hi @Danilo Simic To render HTML, add .html to the end of a field. For example, {{issue.description.html}} Convert wiki markup to HTML or plain text in Jira automation | Cloud automation Cloud | Atlassian Support

Hi @Harish Kalagi The standard integration between Confluence server and Jira does not have the ability to set an assignee directly from Confluence when creating a Jira issue.

Hi @Mike Engelmoer Unfortunately, you can't change the default board for new projects. There's a feature request for this that you can vote on here.
-
Hi Susanne! There's no possibility to create general quick filters that work across multiple boards. You must unfortunately copy each filter individually. Alternatively, you can copy the entire board and adjust the other settings.
