  • Hi @Dzmitry Berdnik By default when you upload the file it will go in that preview style. You can use the Excel macro to display it more like what you are looking for. Check out the Office Excel Macro documentation for a bit more context
  • Hi @miguel.valle welcome I use Xray Test Management for test cases, and really get on well with it. Likewise for others in my team. I'd recommend including this in the list of tools you explore :)
  • Hi @Erez Marcovich I have this scenario, and I have ended up giving space access, but what I do is create two top-level pages: One page that is open to all people in the Space One page that is restricted to a certain usergroups (this would be the current people with Space access) * Under this page, we create all the pages…
  • Hi @Paul Dymecki I would say your best starting point is to read up on Labels -- this Atlassian page is a good read. Labels help you contextualise the content, and then you can use several macros to pull back content containing specific labels. I've always found this the easiest way to look after content and stop things…
  • Thanks for the context @davin I would assume with Comala you delegate the edit access to more granular levels (can edit, can't publish), but it has always been one that I've kept an eye on rather than opted for, as my Confluence instance has a manageable number of people actively editing. Hopefully someone with actual…
  • Hi @davin while I don't use it myself, I have seen a few demos of Comala, which may be worth you investigating with the admin team. Or just using Inline Comments and suffering the headaches. I suppose it depends on whether your Confluence access is a license issue or not (i.e. you are read only because of the company not…
  • Yes is the short answer. You can set up Groups, and can determine which of these give access to Confluence licenses. This guide covers it. How are you creating users? If you have an AD integration you could sync these to groups and specify which groups use a license.
  • Hi @YAY J There is a way to show the page in other spaces out of the box, with a little bit of creativity & a caveat... You can use the Include Page macro, which, well, includes whatever page you select. So you'd create your page once, and include it via the Include Page macro in the other Spaces. For this to work, though,…
  • Hi @Daniel Tita Have you followed these steps here? Under "Create a team or project space" If that is not working, then you do not have the create space permissions (but I can see based on this ticket that you are an admin of a free Cloud version, so I think the above link is what will help).
  • Hi @Simon Teppett I use a lot of version control tables within my documentation (I'm a BA, so a large portion of my life is spent documenting things), and I've personally found that doing things manually often gets the best result. The problem I found with the Confluence version changes is that it's tricky to tell the…
  • Hi @Shaun Morgan Indenting and outdenting should be manageable via the tab key (SHIFT+tab to outdent). I haven't used Cloud in a while, and I know there were editor changes, so if that doesn't work, this bug ticket might have some answers
  • @jonathanlermitage you can also hit the ellipsis (...) and view the Page Information section to get a Tiny URL that is immutable (doesn't change when you change the page name) -- I use that when circulating pages to people in my business.
  • Hi @Jim Stewart Nic's already outlined it, and this guide may assist in seeing what creates the Confluence-Jira link: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/link-confluence-spaces-to-your-service-project/ The name of your Spaces and Projects do not have to have anything in common (although I'd…
  • @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- I think I am extending your answer / potentially asking a question through an assumption :) ... @DDEX Secretariat (NR) try to manually construct the URL to that page (assuming here you have a URL that doesn't have special characters), as an admin you should be able to see it right (or if you…
  • Clicked it and got a rainbow badge -- brightened up my day!
  • Ah right, so you have content in your personal space that you wish to show in the main page? Hard to know without having a bit more context on this use-case. Could you outline / screenshot an example of what the ideal solution would look like? My gut says if the above macros don't work then you probably have a bit of a…
  • Hi @[deleted] If you just want to show what pagers are under the over-arching page, then use Children Display You could be a bit more advanced and start labelling your content so that you can categorise it -- if that's the case, Content by Label would suit you. There are also ways to pull through content, providing you…
  • @saket rustagi the image has loaded for me now -- I see what you have there. In which case, I think the best native option you have is to list out the labels that people should be using and let them copy them over. I'll watch the thread to see if someone else has something creative to solve this, but nothing else comes to…
  • @saket rustagi I cannot seem to see an attachment. but let me show you a mock-up of what came to mind: For the "into macro" bit -- I meant "info" macro and that I outline the statuses for people to use in these. E.g. Does that help explain a bit better?
  • ah and a much more helpful reply has come in from @Walter Buggenhout -- I'd defer to that one!
  • Hi @[deleted] Nothing obviously wrong with what I see -- I don't often have multiple Page Properties macro on a page, but what you have done looks right to me. I would assume it to be a bug and have found a related bug (but not with the exact same scenario as you've shown): https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-34141…
  • Hi @saket rustagi If I understand correctly, the main issue with writing the text will be that it's pretty tricky for people to remember the right text (& status colour?). What you described is quite similar to what I have for some version controlled status. The way I overcome this is to list out the document flow in a…
  • Thanks for the read. I read it during my carved-out 15minutes each day where I read the interesting emails that have popped up in the last day (organically arrived at the conclusion that carved-out time for tasks is the best way to go). Neat idea for a chat integration app -- we're looking for one, but are locked into…
  • Hi @Panagiotis Annis I definitely agree with you that Group-based access is the best way to go -- individual user access can get really tedious. Your best bet -- but this requires effort -- is to get integrations in place with your organisation's user-directory. This way new users can be automatically created based on how…
  • Hi @Rochelle Lim The Task Report macro works well for this. You have a "Task status" field that you can set to show incomplete, complete or both. You can set the scope to be based on pages, spaces, labels -- it's pretty flexible. I have these on pages for minutes, with both sitting in an expand macro -- side-by-side in a…
  • Hi @Matias Andrés Castañón I'd suggest using Headers and the Table of Contents Macro -- it's the easiest way to get the links visible and making those "jumps". Each Header creates an anchor on the page and the ToC displays them. This page Insert links and anchors may also help :)
  • Hey @Isidra Cruto If you don't know them, you could try contacting them via the contact admin URL, which is got to by adding "contactadministrators.action" to the end of your base Confluence URL. e.g http://[Conflunece-URL]/contactadministrators.action (source) Each company will likely have a different URL internally. e.g.…
  • Hi @Vignesh Suryanarayan Have you tried the Livesearch Macro -- this macro lets you add parameters to the search macro, so you can restrict what is searched for. E.g. quite good if you have loads of Spaces but want to restrict searches to just the particular space the user is on. You'd have to add this macro in to wherever…
  • No problem @Beth withers :) The link I pasted, how did you try it? What you need to do is all "contactadministrators.action" to the end of the base confluence URL. Each company will likely have a different URL internally. e.g. mine is similar to "http://intranet.mycompanyname.com:8090/confluence/category/home" So I changed…
  • Hi @Beth withers Assume you've gone over this Create a Space guide? It might be that in the Global Permissions, the admin hasn't added you to a group that has the Create Space permission. Global Permissions is something your organisation's Confluence Administrators will set. If you don't know them, you could try contacting…
