Hi @Jesse_Norris , I don't believe that it's a big concern if the data is not encrypted between your application and local database. Let me know if this helps, --Alexis

Hi @Prashant katti , Confluence is compatible as long as you keep the same JVM that you're using now, as it's an application that only needs Java to run. The only thing I would check is the database version : have a look at what you are using and if it is on the same server as your Confluence application. For MySQL for…

Hi @Andrew Balmer , it is possible to have both Jira and Confluence on the same VM. However, most people will suggest to have them on separate VM, as this will provide better performance and also prevent one application from impacting the other of there's an issue. Confluence and Jira listen on different standard ports…

Hi @Amy_Jones , if your instance is not connected to the internet, you will have to do this check manually : for each addon, go to their Marketplace listing and click on "Versions" and then "See all versions" : This will lead you to the page with all the addon versions and its Jira compatibility : you can then check for a…

Hi @NinjawithPyjamas , might be the character you're using for the "-". Make sure it's the same than the others arguments from the line, copy it if needed so that you're sure that's it's ok.
-
Hi @NinjawithPyjamas you can use 8G or 8192m, it is the same. Let me know if this helps, --Alexis

Hi @Gavin Stevens , TestFLO does not exist for Jira Cloud, and also you can't install apps with obr files (that's only for Jira Server). You can have a look at this app that is developed by Deviniti (the one doing TestFLO) for Jira Cloud…

Hi @Brian Taylor , I have also a dev instance for Jira 8.5.4 but don't have the same issue as you. Have you tried on a different browser or clearing all cache ? Let me know if this helps, --Alexis

Hi @Ankur Gupta , latest version is maybe the one with the most features, but an Enterprise release is more stable and means that you don't have to upgrade that often to keep up with security fixes. You can have a look at the documentation here…
-
Hi @Ankur Gupta , I would recommend installing Jira 8.5.4 as it's an Enterprise release : https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftware/jira-software-8-5-x-release-notes-975014654.html#JiraSoftware8.5.xreleasenotes-perf This means that you will benefit from security and bug fixes for 2 years. Let me know if this helps,…

Hi @HaRsHaS' V , I have done this change a couple times and have not noticed any difference in performance or feature. I was able to find an article comparing different JVM here : https://technology.amis.nl/2018/11/23/comparing-jvm-performance-zulu-openjdk-openjdk-oracle-jdk-graalvm-ce/ You will see that it states OpenJDK…

Hi @[deleted] , as you can see in the official Atlassian documentation, Data Center does not support geo clustering : https://confluence.atlassian.com/confeval/other-atlassian-evaluator-resources/does-data-center-support-geo-clustering So you can't have nodes in different parts of the world. However, what you can do with…

Hi @Vincent Bressler , have you changed your BASE_URL setting to https://missionctrl.info/jira ? Here's how to do it : https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/configuring-the-base-url-938847830.html.
-
Hi @Roja Gurram , you can copy both HOME and INSTALL directory to your dev instance. You will only need to edit your CONFLUENCE_HOME/confluence.cfg.xml file to remove the production database settings and put your dev database settings instead.
-
Hi @Vincent Bressler , I'm more familiar with Apache on Linux, but it should not be that different on Windows. First thing : I don't think you need to go through Apache in HTTP. The usual architecture is : Jira (listens on 8080) <-> Apache (listens on 443) <-> Internet. I usually point to this guide by Atlassian to…
-
Hi @Roja Gurram , I'm not familiar with SQL Server, as I said you will definitely need to check with your database administrator to copy the Confluence database. For the upgrade, you can follow this procedure to upgrade to 7.4 : https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/upgrading-confluence-4578.html
-
Hi @Roja Gurram , this step is usually done by your database administrator or system administrator. I do not know what type of database you're using, so it depends.
-
Yes, no problem I'll get a notification if you add a message.
-
Hello, if your dev instance is already installed and configured, you only need to dump the production database and import it in your Dev database. Let me know if this helps, --Alexis
-
Hi @Claudio Cocciatelli , you can copy your current production to a test instance, you will need to : * create a test database (dump your current database and import it back with a different name) * install the same version of Confluence on your test instance * copy the CONFLUENCE_HOME directory on the test instance *…

Hi @Monika Sharma , that's weird, I do have this option as you can see in my screenshot : Do you have administrator permissions on this Jira instance ? This might be the reason that not all fields are available to you. --Alexis
-
Hi @M Nos , there is an incident currently for Trello, you can follow the resolution here : https://trello.status.atlassian.com/ It should be back soon hopefully. Let me know if this helps, --Alexis
-
Hi @Monika Sharma , you can do this easily with a CSV import : it's a way to create issues from a csv file in Jira. You can follow the procedure here : https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/importing-data-from-csv-776636762.html Your csv file can be only one line with only the mandatory fields (like Summary,…

Hi @Amanda Figart , for Confluence 6.6 the EOL Date was : Dec 12, 2019. You can see in this page that this version EOF has passed : https://confluence.atlassian.com/support/atlassian-support-end-of-life-policy-201851003.html Let me know if this helps, --Alexis

You're welcome ! Don't hesite to mark this thread as "Accepted Answer" so that other users can also find this solution later :) Thanks !

Hi @Nimish Nalan , it is possible to just clone the VM. As long as you have 2 commercial licenses, you'll be fine. You will also need to have a separate database for your second Jira instance, as both Jira can't use the same database (you can just copy it if you want). Let me know if this helps, --Alexis

You're welcome ! Don't hesitate to mark this thread as "Answer Accepted" , this way it will help others with the same issue later :) Thanks !

Hi @Glenn Matsushima , Jira 7.2 and Confluence 6.7 will support only SQL 2012 and SQL 2014. So, you first need to upgrade both applications to a version that supports both 2012 and 2017, and then perform the SQL Server upgrade. * Jira 8.5 supports both versions and can be your target for the upgrade. * Confluence 6.13…

Hi @MARK HERRING to use the Jira REST API, you will first need to create an API Key : https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/api-tokens-938839638.html Once it's done, you can use this key to login with the API and query your Jira project : https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v2/ For example, you can…
