Nope. Only one project category per project. :( I don't know why Confluence allows you to have multiple space categories, but Jira doesn't allow multiple project categories. But you can go and vote for this issue here: JRASERVER-4578. It's been out there since 2004, but who knows? There is also this interesting related…

I was just about to give up looking for sample code to look for the opposite of what you're looking for, and you provided it: existing attachments. Literally, I was about to close my browser. :) I'll return the favor. Here's how you find attachments that have just been added: Source:…

oh...my...god it's 2021

@Shaun Smith, the reason I didn't post it as an answer was because it was not an answer to the original question asked. If someone asked it as a separate question, then I'd be glad to add my reply as an answer. :)
-
@Shaun Smith, I know this is a really late reply, but maybe someone else can benefit from it If you happen to have ScriptRunner, there's the Hide UI Element Built-In Script. You can find it under the Fragments tab in ScriptRunner in the Admin console of Jira.

Hooray! I think it works! :) This: Became this: in the request type in the portal view and this in the Agent view Thank you!!

Hi @Ravi Sagar _Sparxsys_ , I tend to be pretty detail oriented. :) I also tend to get a lot of vague Jira tickets and know what it's like to try to answer them. I figure (hopefully!) the better the question, the quicker and better the answer. Thank you for looking into this for me!

I had meant, are you able to type in the comment in Chrome when it looks squished up like in the image you posted?
-
Ah, so it's a browser issue. I don't think there's much you can do about that. :( What happens if you try to type in the comment? I know you said it doesn't expand whenever you click on it, but what about typing?
-
Hmm, did you try a different browser to see if it behaves the same way?
-
Yes, I've always thought that users should not appear in the Page Restrictions search results if they don't already have space permissions. That would reduce a LOT of confusion that users have. There would still be plenty of confusion left if anyone would miss it, though, like with calendar restrictions. :)
-
Confluence permissions and restrictions can be as confusing as a ball of yarn after a cat has gotten into it. * Spaces have permissions * Pages can have restrictions Using the appropriate wording can help clear up confusion. You might also mean the group 'confluence-users.' If so, there's a big difference in how it could…

Which browser are you using? I've found that the Microsoft browsers have more problems with such things than do others, and Atlassian is not supporting IE anymore anyhow. Mozilla Firefox and Chrome are both usually pretty good. Try a different browser to see if that fixes it. If it doesn't, let's cross that bridge when you…

That depends on what you'd call recent :) meaning what version you're on. I don't think it's that new, though. You can read about it here. Anyone who has unpublished edits will see the page in their Recently worked on list, with a lozenge saying unpublished changes. People who haven't contributed to the unpublished changes…
-
Just a note about the Unpublished Changes lozenge: It is only visible to those users who have edited the page. No one else will see it.

I'm assuming you're talking about regular old Confluence tables. If so, then you copy columns from one page to another using the same method as you would within a page. The copy/paste buttons in the table toolbar will hold the value in your Confluence session, not just one page. So they can be used across pages, as long as…
-
If you mean tabs in the page, there are no built-in tab macros in Confluence. You would need to get a plugin that creates tabs on your pages. If you have a plugin that creates tabs, then yes, you can create multiple tabs that the user can click on to see different content. I think, though, that you're probably talking…
-
You can always add a comment to the version. I'm not sure exactly how to do this in cloud, but you may just not have permissions. I know that in Server, there's a Properties link to edit the comment. It looks like there is the capability of adding a comment since there's a Comment column.
-
Ahhh, that would be heavenly to be able to do. Wouldn't it? Alas, there is no built-in feature that will let you update the pages when you update the template or any kind of bulk content change. You've got 5 main options: * Confluence REST API * Plugin * Update content manually * Update code manually * Export/edit/import…

Confluence Tasks can only have users assigned to them, too, by using @mention. I'm not aware of a way to assign a Confluence Task to a group.

@Avni Barman In which version of Confluence Server can you create a custom blog post template for use when creating new blog posts?
-
Hi @Joseph Orellana I was looking into an Automation issue we're having and came across this post. That's why the late reply. Maybe it could help someone else, though. Just a thought, but maybe "Computer Request" not an issuetype but a request type? You did say: "issue type = computer request" (a request type that I…

I put my original answer in the wrong place. Oops!

I have no idea if this is documented anywhere, but I came across it a while back in some search somewhere. Here's what I have found that will give you workflow info. Still haven't found a way to grab workflow diagram images in bulk, but maybe one day! (Of course you'll substitute your base URL, project key, and workflow…
-
I think perhaps you wanted to ask this under Questions not Discussions? Anyhow... :) shetty had a good answer, but I would add to it. If you go shetty's route, you also want to make sure you clear the Resolution with a Post Function if the workflow allows the user to go back to a non-closed status, such as Reopen. That way…

I'm not sure what you mean by external Jira libraries, but I find the REST APIs to be very useful. I sometimes wish they were more useful, but I'm glad to have what they provide.
-
There are all kinds of Atlassian REST APIs beyond the Jira Server one. There's one for agile, one for Service Desk, plugins have them, etc. Same for Confluence. Sometimes I come across them mentioned in the Community. There are ones for cloud as well, but I don't use cloud. You can even find them if you poke around in the…

If the Jira data is not showing up for you in Confluence, then here could be a few things going on. 1. User doesn't have view access to the projects or issues (or Jira for that matter) 2. JQL for the macro is not returning issues because of incorrect syntax/JQL or there are just no matching issues. 3. There is no OAuth…

If you're using Crowd, have you looked at the Crowd REST API? It has info specifically on cookies and tokens. Otherwise, with Jira, it's not as well (or at all) documented in the Jira Server REST API documentation how to use cookies/tokens. The topic does, however, have its own documentation: Cookie-based authentication.…

What you're getting as a result is not an error (I can't read the human language it's in, though) but it looks like your result is just empty. That's this part: "detailLines":[] If you read my last post, sometimes I have to figure out what the total number of results is, then enter that as the page size. No idea why, and…
