My recommendation is to open a support issue with Atlassian.
-
The page author can go to https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/profile-and-visibility and delete the public information there. Then Confluence should not display it anymore. However this is something each author needs to do.
-
Uploaded documents as attachments are not searchable in Confluence.
-
This is a recurring issue with Atlassian showing modals in Confluence. There's no reliable way to turn this off for Confluence.

Your data are sent to Google and OpenAI: https://www.atlassian.com/trust/atlassian-intelligence/transparency# Your data are also stored by OpenAI, in contrast to what Atlassian says: https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2025/06/openai-says-court-forcing-it-to-save-all-chatgpt-logs-is-a-privacy-nightmare/

Hi @Peggy Creek , This issue seems to need direct support by Atlassian. You can contact them here: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/
-
Hi @Sonja Altmann , Just FYI, you wrote: my organisation will not under any circumstance allow us to have our data stored (even for mere second) outside of Australia. That basically rules out using Atlassian Cloud products, because as explained…

Atlassian experiments with the layout, design and functionality of Confluence. Probably they think it's easier for users?
-
Not sure if that is the issue: you need to be an admin to install apps.
-
The new tokens with scopes are another type of API token, and unfortunately Atlassian failed to provide documentation on how to use them and what the difference with the old ones is. The scoped tokens are OAuth tokens and use different API endpoints than the unscoped tokens, see…
-
Your best option is to contact Atlassian directly by going to the bottom of the page https://support.atlassian.com/ and clicking the support button.
-
Unfortunately Atlassian likes to collect personal data, and so you can't work around this. You also can't "switch off" two factor authentication.
-
Wow, this looks like a serious issue with Confluence.
-
Try to reach the URL from a browser and have a look at the response. This will often help.
-
One way to go about this is to add the external party as guests to Confluence. Confluence guest users only have a access to a single space.
-
Indeed, token with specific scopes are either OAuth or Forge. However the API documentation should list how an endpoint is accessible . The Teams REST API should be accessible by your token. On trick to test for your access to the API is to paste the URL into your browser and see if your account has access. As far as I…
-
I don't think you are missing anything. The functionality was simply not built by Atlassian.
-
If you use Basic Auth with a token scoped to your account, that token can deo everything you can do. Only when you build a Jira app with e.g. Forge you need to make sure that the Forge app has the required scopes. So, where did you get the token from?
-
If i'm not mistaken, you can't change automations through the REST API.
-
Is this an official announcement? If so, this is a poor channel to communicate to admins. They are unlikely to read articles here in the Community.
-
Confluence Cloud backups have no official REST or API endpoint. It is a pain point. See https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CLOUD-6498 .
-
With Confluence Cloud, you can't add CSS, and Atlassian is very unlikely build functionality to allow this.
-
Hi @Sivaramakrishna SV , This is a public forum, I'd recommend to contact Atlassian support directly.
-
The one starting with https://api-private.atlassian.com/ is the new webhook.
-
Hi @Anne van Susteren-Finger , It seems you are using the page export menu. For space export, you'd need to use the space settings page:
-
No, this is not possible.
-
Completely agree. Databases are so limited at the moment.
-
You can't directly add security headers. Your best bet is to contact Atlassian support and do a feature request.
-
In short: you can't. Atlassian thinks that all users benefit from this.
-
Confluence databases don't offer "group by" functionality.
