Hey sorry @Alexandre Paiva de Lacerda Costa .... I missed this post the first time around, I'm the author of Sprint Capacity Analysis... there's actually documentation baked into the app (click the "Help" icon in the top right of the app, next to the "Delete Data" button) and it'll show a side panel with documentation for…

Hi @Carmine It's not an official Atlassian product, but you might want to try the Sprint Capacity Analysis application that is available for free on the Atlassian Marketplace (see https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1238160/sprint-capacity-analysis ) Although this doesn't flag when an individual is overbooked, it will…

Hey @Grzegorz Kostecki It's not an official Atlassian product, but you might want to try the Sprint Capacity Analysis application that is available for free on the Atlassian Marketplace (see https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1238160/sprint-capacity-analysis ) This offers both individual capacity and team capacity…

As has been mentioned in the earlier comments there are going to be a variety of options available on the marketplace and the right one for your needs will be dependant on exactly what you're optimising for. The free app that I've been developing as a side-project at Atlassian might be worth…
-
Hey @Sander van Laarhoven Although I work for Atlassian, I'm not directly involved in the development of Jira Plans / Advanced Roadmaps. However, you might be interested in trying out my side-project - the Sprint Capacity Analysis as I think that this features some of the capabilities you're describing. This app is…

Thanks @Debbie Jolley !! I really appreciate that !
-
Hey @Tracy Skelton Thanks for post... I completely understand what you're describing and it's something I can explore, but I don't think that it's easy to open the issue view model from within the Forge app (but I'll double check this). Usually when we're doing sprint planning as a team (typically over zoom because we're…

Thanks @Debbie Jolley ... I really appreciate you letting me know that's it fixed the problem! I don't suppose it would be possible to trouble you for a short review on the marketplace would it? https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/3518614169/work-item-hierarchy-field?tab=reviews This would be really helpful for me! For…
-
@Debbie Jolley I've gone ahead and pushed a speculative fix that might resolve the problem. Can you give it a try and let me know if it works?
-
@Debbie Jolley It would be really helpful if you could let me know what the broken image URL is ... you don't have to include your domain name if it's included (just swap it out for X.atlassian.net) Also, are you using a custom domain at all? There are some workarounds that can manipulate the URL, but I need to make sure…
-
Hey @Debbie Jolley .... unfortunately I've not had any time to take a look at this as I've been snowed under with regular work and this is a side-project for me. I've not been able to reproduce the problem on my instance which makes it hard to verify any fix I add. I'll endeavour to take a look at this next week though -…
-
Thanks for the feedback @Debbie Jolley ... are those work item type icons custom by any chance? This might be a known issue with the image rendering (I believe there is an open bug for this) but I'll look into this - I really appreciate the feedback on this though. It looks like the Epic icon is rendering fine and is an…

Hey @Jamie Stanczyk This is a topic I'm particularly interested in and have built an application that is freely available on the Atlassian Marketplace called Sprint Capacity Analysis However, one thing it doesn't do is report on what individuals have done and I'm really keen to understand why this is a requirement.…
-
Hey @[deleted] ... thanks sharing that, it's really interesting! I've actually never really tried to force a WIP limit on teams, but I completely agree that it's a good idea. If you're trying to work on or complete too many things at once then you're increasing the chance of not completing any of them! Limiting to the…
-
Hey @Gavin , I just wanted to make sure I fully understand the requirements here. So you have teams that are working on different Jira projects (rather than conceptual projects?) You might not be aware (apologies if you know this already!) but a board for a Company Managed Project (or even just for a user) can use any JQL…
-
Hey @Ajay Hinduja Although I work for Atlassian, this isn't an "official" answer - I just wanted to share one approach we'd used internally for a large cross-team project. At Atlassian we obviously have access to the Premium features of Jira so we leaned into the Advanced Roadmaps / Jira Plans capability and created…

@Bill Sheboy I also realised that the original discussion title was somewhat misleading on the intent of the discussion so I've changed it. Retrospectively I realise that it might have been interpreted as a question for Jira (the product) rather then individuals use of Jira (...and not even in Jira for that matter, but…
-
Thanks for the feedback @Bill Sheboy (I've corrected the link, that was a silly mistake on my part - thanks !!) So I broadly agree with what you're saying... so for example I would never say any particularly sprint length is better or worse (there are trade offs), and I do know that some methodologies advocate a number of…
-
FYI @Cassandra Fitzgerald ... I just wanted to tag you in this thread as you added the review to the app that prompted this discussion and I wasn't sure if you'd get notified about my reply to it. I'd be very happy to answer any questions you have about the application! Thanks, Dave
-
Thanks @Walter Buggenhout ... I've probably used the wrong verb with "automated"... not sure what the right one is, so it's not that sprints would continuously be automatically updated, but rather planned when you tell them to using available data (historical velocity combined with future availability) being the main ones.…
-
Hey @Saurabh Chaudhary , If you're looking to try out a free Forge application for capacity planning then I'm looking for feedback on this Atlassian Labs offering: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1238160/sprint-capacity-analysis Full disclosure, although I work for Atlassian, this is purely a side project that I'm…
-
Another quick update on this... the code for this project is now available here: https://github.com/atlassian-labs/issue-status-helper The idea is that it could be a useful reference for other developers in the community, as this was a side-project you definitely shouldn't expect the code to be perfect, but I'm very happy…
-
Hey @Rudy Holtkamp , A quick update - you might have seen that there's a new version of the app on the marketplace... unfortunately I didn't have as much time as I'd hope to work on it, but you can now toggle both setting dates by sprint and commenting on and off on a per project basis. I'll try and get the custom comments…
-
Thanks Rudy, that's a great point about not everyone having a premium license - you're absolutely right that I shouldn't assume that - my apologies. So do you think that setting start and end dates on assignment to a sprint would be a valuable addition to the app for non-premium customers? 🤔
-
Hey Rudy, No worries - I'll look to get as much of that added as I can! You can also argue that every issue which is added to a sprint (with date) should have the same start and end date, independent of the issue status and if the sprint has started This is actually possible in Advanced Roadmaps in the plan settings under…
-
Hey @Rudy Holtkamp , thanks so much for the feedback - I really appreciate it! Can you give me a little bit more detail on how you'd like it to behave and what you'd like to toggle? I'm assuming when you say type of comment you mean for status changes versus date setting / clearing? I'm looking at making some updates to…
-
Hey @LipsaPatra , If you weren't able to solve the problem with automation, then uou might be interested in this free Forge app that I've recently added to the Atlassian Marketplace: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1231916/issue-status-helper?tab=overview&hosting=cloud I've also written about it…
-
I'm a little confused about this... you can add story point estimates to sub-tasks (both within Advanced Roadmaps and directly on the issue details screen as far as I can tell). See screenshot for an example, the issue DP-7 is a sub-task of DP-2
-
Hi @krista.phillips, I'm actually going to be moving on from the Advanced Roadmaps team very soon (see https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Advanced-Roadmaps-articles/Some-tips-for-using-Advanced-Roadmaps-as-I-leave-the-team/ba-p/1688595 ) so I might not be aware when this is resolved, however you can watch this issue to…

Hi @Kim P, I believe that the order of views is based on creation date. As far as I know there are no plans to implement any view reordering - not because it wouldn't be a useful improvement (clearly it would!) but simply due to it's relative priority with other work on our backlog Regards, Dave
