Hi @Tayo Adetoyi welcome to the community and thanks for your question. By default, such a special custom field config is not possible, as you can't create or modify system fields. What might work though is using a 3rd party app, for example Elements Connect and gather this custom data via Jira Cloud API. But I actually do…

I'll take Monday, February 2, 2024 @Andy Gladstone :)

Hi @Sunilkumar k thanks for your question. AFAIK it is not possible to edit / modify locked fields configuration.
-
Could you post some screenshots? Also you did not answer my question regarding project type: Team-Managed oder Company-Managed. Anyway, when opening the people tab and hitting add people button, you should be able to search for users and groups and add them to a specific role in your project.
-
@Montnic the main problem is, that there is no default solution to filter issue data. If a user can see an issue, he will be able to see all the information. There are certain apps that provide a solution to hide specific information, but that might require way to much work.
-
Hi @Neha Mundra thanks for your question. Could you explain your problem in more detail? Do you use company or team managed projects?
-
Hi @Montnic , welcome to the community and thank you for your question. Out of the box, this is not possible in Jira. You would need to use an app like Email this issue, to set up custom mail templates and send dem filtered on your specific recipient criteria. I would recommend to try this out on another site with some…

Hi @Anitha thanks for your question. As your question is different than @Dai Zhang I would recommend open up a new thread.

Hi @DJ thanks for your question. AFAIK there is no option to edit this formatting. I guess you choose number field? What I did for our customers was using a plain text field. Other option would be a custom field app that supports regex or further formatting to limit/format the entered value.

Hi @Gregory Tampagaris could you please add a log action and put the smart value for the Story point estimate sum up in there, to see what the rule is trying to write to the field?
-
Hi @Gregory Tampagaris welcome to the community and thank you for your question. I think you got it a little mixed up in your Automation. The reason why it is always 0 is that you sum up the Story Points from subtasks (in the last step). I guess there are no subtasks or they don't have values, so this will always be 0. I…

Hi @Dai Zhang thanks for your question. This is simply not possible. Confluence just displays the information right out of Jira. If you do not have permission to view an issue in Jira, it won't be displayed on a Confluence page.

Hi @ROUSSEAU Corentin welcome to the the community and thanks for your question. AFAIK this is not possible by default. You might need to try an app like this one: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1225063/go-jql-essential-jql-functions?hosting=cloud&tab=overview Hope this helps.

I would love to try a longer workation. This is definitely possible with my current job, but needs to be planed ahead a little bit with family. I also would love to strengthen my ITIL skills and maybe achieve the new ITIL Master certification.

Thanks for sharing @Sarah Bartos and the insights. It was very interesting to read.

Hi @Daniel Bermudez could you explain a little bit what you are trying to achieve? Do you still want to have access to the project, but don't want to see the updates in the stream? Or do you want to hide the updates for other users? In general, you should be able to filter the content in the gadget via configuration:

Hi @Sahil Anower thanks for your question. Could you please check what your global time tracking preferences are set to?

Great post, thanks for sharing!

I would highly recommend Jira. I have been using it for over a decade now, in a personal and business context and it makes life and project organization so much easier. 1. I first used it as a student in a small company and really loved the ease of use and the transparency it provides. 2. Get your hands dirty. Try out some…

I'm not quite sure if I would have changed that much. I think every bad experience still has something good to offer and helps you move forward.

Hello @Sebastian Bergqvist yes, you got it right. The project needs to be configured in a certain way. A short documentation can be found here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/set-up-and-manage-portal-access/#Set-up-an-open-portal Bear in mind, that the customer will still get a…

+1 That's exactly how I would do it.

Hi @Sebastian Bergqvist welcome to the community and thanks for your question. Adding attachments anonymously is not possible. Even though it is called anonymous portal, you will still need to enter an email address for verification and an account will be created in the background. If you need a way to upload files without…

Really love this question, even though I did not have a dream job. I'm still not sure if this today is the job. I really love change and I welcome it. I had the opportunity to try a lot of jobs in the last years and and it was so much fun.
-
Great question @Angelie Stephens ! I really love the fact of getting to know so many people and helping them with their processes by using all variants of Jira. Understanding their needs and shaping a solution together is so satisfying.

Looks like it is finally time to get that ACP-520 :)

Glad I could help!

Hi @Snehil Verma welcome to the community and thanks for your question. You should be able to view the changes on every issue in the History tab under Activity. Hope this helps.
