Hi Yassine, sounds like you're getting the new editor experience. The new editor doesn't have the same feature set as the old one. Here's a roadmap / feature comparison of the two. Best regards, Sven

That's very nice, definitely provides more transparency!

Hi @Robin Junghans, it looks like you're on Confluence Cloud. (I added the correct tag to your post) Unfortunately, I think in the Cloud you do not have any control over this. On Server you could have added some Custom CSS to change the styling, but Custom CSS is not available on Cloud. In fact, on Server you probably…

Hi @Jamil Rahimov, the way that app licensing works, is that the license of the app has to match the size of the host product license. I think a few vendors allow you to buy a special license directly through the app vendor (and not the Marketplace), that allows you to have a smaller app license than the host product…

Hi Roland, this depends on the app. I personally have never heard of "database connector" but we have a similar app called PocketQuery and there you can enable indexing on Query results: This will add the result of a PocketQuery macro to the index for the page that the macro is in. Maybe the "database connector" app has a…

I've long had the idea to write an article (series) here on the Community about Atlassian apps from different vendors that synergize well and are unexpectedly more useful together than alone. I didn't find the time do it yet so I'm not gonna spoil any of them right now... But let me just say it's super satisfying that two…

Hi @Mireille Gennaro, I think I read an article by @Kat Warner {TechTime} the other day about something like this. They have an app that should do exactly what you want: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211719/techtime-copyright-utils?hosting=server&tab=overview Best regards, Sven EDIT: Linked to article

Sounds like you might be looking for the Page Tree Macro?
-
Hi @Christian Hammer, Is there any way to get the content with all its links, macros etc. resolved before it is delivered? unfortunately, the simple answer to this is no. There are certain macros (such as the Page Properties report, it seems) that will only render a placeholder on the server-side and do the actual work in…

Sounds very useful! I've often wanted to use components across different projects! :)

You are completely right, the overview doesn't show the name. I'm not sure whether you can configure this to show the names but I don't think so (happy to be proven wrong!). As a workaround I've written a little script for you that you can execute in your browser's console. It isn't beautiful but it makes the names show…

You are right, inline comments will create new page versions. This is because the positions of inline comments are saved in the storage format (XML) of the page. I don't think there's a way to get around this.

Hi @Michèle, for tasks you can certainly still use the task report macro. Simply type "/task" in the editor and the task report macro should show up there. For decisions it looks like you should be able to use the Page Properties Report macro as specified in these docs. Hope this helps! Best regards, Sven

Hi @mary.moore, it looks like you've reached the limit of what can be reasonably achieved with User Macros. You might be able to find some short-term workarounds but sooner or later you'll hit the same or similar problems as this solution obviously doesn't scale. A better approach would be to directly query the Confluence…

I got to this screen via "General Configuration > Scheduled Jobs" and then clicking "edit" on one of the Jobs. :)
-
This might be because your cron expression only consists of 5 parts. Cron expressions for Atlassian products need to consist of 6-7 parts. This information is from the Confluence docs but internally Jira probably uses the same mechanism, so it is likely that the same rules apply. If you enter the cron expression into…

Did you check whether you are on the newest version of the Atlassian Companion? IIRC there was some security issue in early december so if you're still on an old version that might be the reason why it's not working. EDIT: Just noticed that you said you tried a reinstall, so that's likely not the problem.
-
This should be possible, but you would need to build this yourself. You could write a script that, upon receiving such an email, updates (or creates) a Confluence attachment (or page) using the appropiate REST API.
-
I think using a code macro would probably be nice as it provides some syntax highlighting for the SQL statements. Also you can double click in it to select all of the code for easy copying. You could even go a step further and not only store your queries in Confluence but even execute them in there using something like…

As @brbojorque mentioned you can do iframes with macros or apps using the Dynamic Content Macro module. However, if you want to make an iframe that is embedded into all pages (e.g. for tracking purposes) you will want to use the Web Panel module instead. This allows you to place iframes into pre-defined locations (e.g.…

By action items do you mean Confluence Tasks? If yes: Some of your points could certainly be built by querying the ao_9412a1_aotask table in the database. These 3 should be relatively easy: Quantity per project Quantity due in the next 7 working days Quantity over due You could use PocketQuery to create SQL Queries that…

How about using the get content by id REST API? Example frontend JS: var pageId = '12345'; var url = AJS.contextPath() + '/rest/api/content/' + pageId; $.get(url).done(function(response) { var links = response._links; var pageUrl = links.base + links.context + links.webui; var pageTitle = response.title;…

That is definitely weird then. You could try going through the tags and choose one that specifically says JDK8. E.g. this one: https://hub.docker.com/layers/atlassian/confluence-server/7.0.5-jdk8/images/sha256-62196f68d2bc2be03d42f9f84899a120145928b107fc0d68f6f1aec2703abec1

Can't tell you what's causing this but the illegal reflective access error was added with Java 9. So if you can try to run Confluence on Java 8 that might fix this problem for you.
-
If clearing the cache as described in our article doesn't fix the problem you should probably contact the vendor of your app. :)
-
Hi Leonel, I have seen this error before in other apps. It usually had to do with some finicky caching or classloader problems. For our product PocketQuery we have created a knowledge base article that helped with resolving this problem in the past. Maybe worth a shot to try it for this app, too. You can check out the…

There are occasional threads with smaller discussions. One of the biggest discussions I've seen has been on this article: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-articles/What-s-New-in-Confluence-Cloud-November-2019-Edition/ba-p/1225137

If you're not necessarily looking to hire someone, but would also be happy with consulting, you might want to look for local Atlassian Solution Partners. They should certainly be experts when it comes to Confluence, you just need to find one that has the necessary expertise when it comes to SharePoint as well. You can also…

Have you had a look at this Marketplace app? Might be exactly what you're looking for.
-
Hmm... thinking about it, this might even be possible in the Cloud using standard Confluence tasks as well - as long as they trigger a page edit webhook. But I'm not sure if checking a task does that. Either way, this is probably something that you have to build yourself, as I already mentioned.
