On Server this is theoretically possible with standard Confluence tasks. You could relatively easily build a custom app that does this by hijacking the click handler for these tasks. In the Cloud there's technically no way to do this with standard Confluence tasks. You could however implement your own Confluence tasks in…

You might want to ask this question over at the Atlassian Developer Community. It's more likely you will get good answers to dev related questions there. :)
-
Well, probably this app. However, be aware that in the Cloud macros are always sandboxed inside iframes. This means by design the HTML macro does not nearly have as much power in the Cloud as on Server.
-
Also regarding PocketQuery (if that's what you mean by query tool), It's still early days but we are actually working on a Cloud version! ;) Of course in this case it wouldn't actually help, because you don't have direct access to the database of Confluence Cloud, but you could still use it for the REST API and build a…

Indeed you do have much more control over Confluence Server than over Cloud. This is typical for all On-Premise vs SaaS software. However this also comes with all the costs of running and maintaining the software, which shouldn't be underestimated.
-
If you make the file available to Confluence via HTTP you could probably use PocketQuery to access and parse it. I've explained how to do this in another Community post a while ago.
-
Depends on what you mean by integrate. If you just want to do reporting / read-only stuff you could certainly use PocketQuery to speak to the REST API of Mailchimp. Anything beyond that would probably require a custom app.
-
Hi Dominic, since I know you're a PocketQuery user, you could try using this Query: SELECT * FROM CONTENT WHERE CONTENTID = :@pageid OR PREVVER = :@pageid ORDER BY VERSION Of course you probably want to write a custom template as well that renders the user keys into actual user links, etc. but I think this should get you…

I'm not sure the default settings of Confluence can get you what you need here. But there is an app by Old Street Solutions which certainly could: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1220562/external-share-for-confluence?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

Sweet! Should you encounter more questions don't hesitate to raise a ticket at our ServiceDesk. There you can also send us your concrete Queries, Templates and Converters privately. :) Cheers, Sven

Hi @Georg, Yes, this is exactly what wildcards in Query statements are for! See them in the documentation: https://help.scandio.de/documentation/display/PQDOC/Queries#Queries-UsingParametersinQueries :@userFullName may not work because wildcards might be case sensitive if I remember correctly. Have you also tried…

Just a hint: It's probably better to ask development related questions on the Developer Community. :)
-
You might find this piece of documentation helpful. EDIT: Or do you mean, you already followed these steps?

As far as I'm aware there is no real API for this in the frontend. You'll have to come up with your own solution. A possible hack could be to kidnap the original save button and replace it with your own, like this: AJS.toInit(function() { var $original = $('#rte-button-publish'); var $clone = $original.clone();…

I agree with your statement about the new editor being a step back in it's current state. However, chances are it's not going to stay like that and I'm sure all the uproar in the community has certainly been noticed by Atlassian. In regards to apps there are certain non-monetary incentives for vendors, such as the higher…

@James Kinoshita I wonder if the non-Cloud versions is much better, though. The Server option is absolutely awesome and offers many people exactly what they need. On-Premise software always offers much wider customization ability and better control. For example, you can stay on a given version as long as you want and…

Well, Confluence doesn't know how to do that, because how do you actually identify dynamic content? This is not an easy problem to solve as third party macros do not have to tell Confluence whether they render dynamic content or not. For vanilla Confluence macros they could certainly do it. The best workaround I know of,…
-
This because how inline comments work from a technical perspective: The position of Inline comments is persisted in the storage format of the page. They are basically XML tags that wrap the content they comment on. Since macros like the Jira Issue macro load dynamic content that is not stored inside the page, inline…
-
I see. Best of luck with your feature request then. :)
-
I'm not sure I understand your answer. Inside the iframe of a macro you can do all the JavaScript you want. Once you got the app up and running there's also no problem with installing it on different instances. See the docs for Dynamic Content Macros and the Confluence Cloud JS API. Edit: Of course, having features…

An easy way to do this would be to use some custom CSS. td.confluenceTd, th.confluenceTh { border: 1px dashed #c1c7d0 !important; } How to include CSS on a single page has been discussed several times in the Community already.
-
Is this possibly a user macro? If that's the case and you're a Confluence administrator you should be able to edit it in the general configuration under user macros.
-
Your request is so simple that this could easily be done with custom macros. @James Dellow actually just wrote an article about how to do custom macros even without programming knowledge. In your case a bit of JavaScript knowledge is required but generally these features could be built in a few days of work max. If you…
-
Yes, it is free of charge. It's not a marketplace app but an actual application, @Iago Docando :)
-
Hi Eric, Two things worth mentioning: * You can't change the output type of macros. Macros always return a String. Of course the String could contain only a number but if we're talking about data types it is still a String. * The examples you linked to use Confluence default macros such as "jira" or "jiraissues". Therefore…

Nice! ...can we get the Emoji feature for the Community as well?
-
Does this mean Custom Domains will only be available to Premium customers?
-
You can't POST arbitrary HTML into a Confluence page because Confluence is not storing its pages in HTML but their own storage format. See my answer in the thread Create macro via REST API for more details. If you instead mean to upload the HTML file as an attachment you should use the attachment REST API.
-
As far as I'm aware there is not. The copying/pasting method that you mentioned is currently the only way. I think this is partly because there are still some incompatibilities between the old and new editor such as nested macros or other features that are not available anymore in the new editor.
