A very BIG X2 on the mobile app, @Samie Delebo - Your Gal at Gliffy. Hint: It's a great way for marketplace partners to identify which customers are in attendance and (hopefully) connect with them for product feedback, etc.

Sadly, I've been to Vegas way more times than any other place that requires me to get on an airplane. All but one of them were for trade shows. The other was bc we used Vegas as a start/end point for a trip to the Grand Canyon (left/returned from/to the airport without stepping foot in any casinos — oh wait, what am I…

I plan to be there in person. This will be my 6th Summit/Team event — but my first as an Atlassian Community Leader. I'm really looking forward to catching up with my Atlassian ecosystem friends and acquaintances, meeting those I have only met online, and making new ones! Honestly, there are very few things that would ever…

Can't wait x2! 🎉 🎊 🥳 🙌

Hi, @Stephen Ellwood. I agree. Jira is not a replacement for Microsoft Project. IMO, that's because it was not designed to be. At its core, it's an issue-tracking system (on steroids). That said, as highlighted in this discussion, there are a number of ways you can use Jira as a foundation for what you describe. And there…

It's gratuitous for me to say so now, but I love the brand refresh @Ólöf Kristjánsdóttir {Tempo} and company! -dave
-
To clarify, that is the highest issue type in out-of-the-box Jira :) As @Carmen Nadeau and @John Funk point out below, there are several ways to extend the hierarchy in Jira. -dave
-
You're right, @jono_tt. Layers above the Epic are added to Jira with Advanced Roadmaps (which comes only with Jira Cloud Premium and Enterprise, or Jira Data Center) -OR- a number of Atlassian Marketplace apps. It's not a built-in Jira feature. Congrats on making it work 👍🏻 -dave

Hi, @Mike Triplett. I can answer this: Yes. Drop us a note at solutions@almworks.com and reference this thread. :) -dave

I'm afraid this will be one of those rare occasions where I must disagree with @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-. :) Representing Sprints in a Gantt chart was one of the most frequently requested features when ALM Works launched Structure.Gantt. Why? Because many Jira projects are intimately tied to other Jira projects — i.e., they…

Fabian is on the right track, @Sascha We. Can you share a pic/copy of your Generators, please? We'll get you sorted. -dave

Hi, @Pavan. I think this post may be a duplicate of another, newer post? If so, I suggest you remove the new one and we keep the convo. going here. (If your question in the new post is related but different, ignore this comment). In either case, at this stage, I urge you to reach out to ALM Works directly so we can help…

Hi, @Pavan. This post may be a duplicate of a previous post by you on this topic? If so, I suggest you remove this post. If your question is related but different this time, please clarify it such that it is clear how it is different. Thanks! Meanwhile: Whether it is the same problem or a new one, I urge you to reach out…

This doesn't exactly conform but it's pretty relevant... When my girls were young we would visit with their maternal grandparents on Christmas Eve. They're Italian Americans and for them, Christmas Eve is a bigger deal than Christmas Day. We'd head home after midnight mass and carry the sleeping girls to bed. Christmas…

Hi, @IT-Team TraceTronic. Structure is not affected. -dave

Unfortunately, @Victoria Bak, as @Fabian Lim said, there is no such feature in Jira or Confluence. Unless you're in a position to do a bit of programming to try and create what you envision. Sorry. So, you are going to have to explore other solutions that might help you present important dates to your stakeholders. Have…

Hi, @Balanna. @Dionathan Lopes {ALM Works} suggests, your best bet at this stage is to contact ALM Works support. Something about your specific configuration is amiss, and it will be very difficult to diagnose what is causing the problem here in a public forum. We can share an update with everyone here later though, once…

Hi, @Patricio Ibarra. No. Unless you already have Jira cloud premium, or Jira data center. If you do not, upgrading to one of those platforms would be more expensive than a plug-in. Hope this helps, -dave

Thanks for sharing your self-discovered answer with the community, Johanna! :) -dave

Hi, @McCluskey, James. Welcome to the community. This is a classic "it depends" question. I.e., the best way for you is probably not the best way for her. Nearly every situation is unique or falls into a unique category of Jira users. IMO, this is probably why Atlassian has left Jira so flexible, and why it is so popular.…

And, what a great summary about Scrum and Kanban (and how the calendar view in JWM might fit the bill for uses cases outside of software development). Danke, @Walter Buggenhout !

Hi, @Humair Imam. I second @Robert Wen_Cprime_. Maybe you can cite some specific examples of Jira terms that are causing confusion? Or, a list of SAFe terms that you're having trouble mapping to Jira? -dave

Great. As @Dionathan Lopes {ALM Works} said, you should feel free to reach out for assistance via support@almworks.com anytime, @Philipp Tandler. -dave

I asked because Jira out-of-the-box only recognizes a 3-level hierarchy of Epic - Story - Sub-task. Your organization may have created a new kind of hierarchy using a Jira custom issue type called Initiative OR you may be using Advanced Roadmaps from Atlassian OR an Atlassian Marketplace app like Structure for Jira. (You…
-
Indeed he is, @Trudy P Claspill. From the screenshot above we can clearly see he is using Structure. However, as @Dionathan Lopes {ALM Works} mentions above it will be much easier to address his use case once we know some details that it probably does not make sense to share here. That said, once we figure it out we can…
-
Hi, @Rameshwar Khenat. Welcome to the community. What did you use to create Initiatives in your hierarchy? And, are you using Rich Filters for Jira Dashboards from Qotilabs? AFIK they are not very active here in the community. If I have guessed correctly, tou may want to reach out to them via contact@qotilabs.com. However,…
-
Hi, @Philipp Tandler. That looks like a Structure for Jira hierarchy. If so, there are a number of ways you can create the desired filter, but as @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- alludes, it all depends on exactly how you have your relationships between issues set up. I suggest you contact ALM Works support directly via…
-
Hi, @atarab. All parent/child relationships in Jira are defined by issue links - whether they are out-of-the-box Jira issue links or custom issue links you create. That said, those out-of-the-box Jira (and/or <Advanced> Roadmaps) issue links have some special built-in capabilities that do not exist in the custom issue…
