Hi, @Rita Deo. Welcome to the community 👋 The first thing to consider is that Jira out of the box expects an Epic > Story (or Task, or Bug) > Subtask hierarchy. It does not expect a Tasks to be the child of a Story. Advanced Roadmaps, which comes with Jira Cloud Premium will let you define a new parent above the Epic, and…

Welcome to the community, @Dan O_Brien. The "Accepted Answer" above is one answer. But your answer could be different. It depends on things like whether you are using Jira Cloud or Jira Data Center. And, how you are adding issues to your structure (which could be different than the way Laci was doing it). Let's do this.…

Hi, @Elif Alverson. To add just a little to what @Rudy Holtkamp has already suggested, this search will show you all of the time tracking add-ons that work with JSM/cloud. Apologies in advance if this is something you already know how to do and you were looking more for actual user recommendations. You can/should tweak the…

Hi, @Clare Lawson. I think it would be best if you contact Tempo support at this point, so they can help you diagnose what's going on in your environment. Best, -dave

Hi, @Thayer Tate. Very cool you were able to solve this mystery — or at least get started down the right path — on your own 👍 Indeed, Jira cloud is different in a number of important, and good (once you get used to it) ways. Consequently, the Jira apps you may be used to from your server days are going to be different,…

Hi, @Hofer, Johan. What you are describing is Project Portfolio Management (PPM). Rather than "force fitting" the Jira out-of-the-box Epic > Story > Subtask hierarchy to PPM, you might wish to use a Jira add-on that's designed to help you manage a portfolio of projects. Atlassian has Jira Align for this, and/or Advanced…

Hi, @John Elder. That is a Tempo Timesheet. The check mark in the circle is the Tempo logo. I suggest contacting the Tempo support team to troubleshoot your particular version of this issue. I believe it's different than what @Terri Heath was experiencing. Hope this helps, -dave
-
Good suggestion, @M0214104 👍 I have passed it along to the Structure team and you can expect to see it in the Sample Formulas one day soon. -dave
-
To add what @Trudy P Claspill has already said, I will add that the Atlassian Marketplace partners who develop Atlassian add-ons have no choice in this. It is a condition of doing business on the Atlassian Marketplace. There are a myriad of good reasons why this is so. That said, the Marketplace vendors understand that…

Hi, @Andre Tai. When you say "...on a structure board" are you referring to the Jira app called Structure? If so, there may be a way to do what you wish directly in Structure. If you are unsure, look for the "Structure" menu at the top of the screen. -dave
-
Hi, @liam.dyer-steel. You can set the default Account for Timesheets by project directly, without having to use Jira Automation. Setting the Default Tempo Account for a Jira Project Hope this helps, -dave

Welcome, @John Wolfhagen 👋 You can learn more about Jira Product Discovery from the Atlassian Support site. -dave

To add to what @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- said, why do you feel you need to *archive* a subtask before the parent task is truly complete, @Naga Kishore Suravaravapu? After all, you can close it and mark it complete. Is that not sufficient? -dave

Welcome, @raj shaswat! 👋

Great. In case it helps, you can probably discover the answer fairly easily by clicking on the "Apps" pull down in your Jira menu — then look for an app with "Gantt" in its name. There are some that do not include Gantt in the name — but most do. -dave

Hi, @Theresa Senckenberg. Welcome to the community. This would be a new feature request. If it's something you want to get into Tempo's backlog, please visit the Tempo Idea Portal to add your suggestion. Best, -dave
-
Hi, @Neelesh PB. To help you with this question, the community will need to know which Gantt solution you are using. -dave
-
Hi, @Javier Mora Casas. If I may add to what @Trudy P Claspill has already said... Jira out-of-the-box revolves around individual projects, however you decide to define those. To look across projects you need a project portfolio management solution. As Trudy mentioned, Advanced Roadmaps from Atlassian is one such tool. To…

Hi, @Nagarjuna Busireddypally. In that case, I feel you will get the answer you seek more quickly by talking directly to the BigPicture folks at Appfire. 🙂 -dave
-
Hi, @Nagarjuna Busireddypally. With respect to the other folks who answered, I'd suggest there is a way to do as you suggest, and you were (are) on the right track. There are any number of ways for you to create your own, arbitrary (as you see fit) hierarchies in Jira. IMO you should look at Advanced Roadmaps since it…
-
Hi, @Christian Nobs. And @Mark Segall. Agreed. A core Structure design principle is flexibility. It enables you to adapt Jira to the way your teams work with flexible hierarchies, and more. So, for example, where Jira and Advance Roadmaps expects you to use a prescriptive hierarchy — Structure does not. That also means…
-
Hey, @Patrick Metzdorf. Don't despair, yet. There are a number of Atlassian Marketplace apps that do similar things to Advance Roadmaps and that do not require you to upgrade to Jira Cloud Premium. If this capability is important to you head over to the marketplace with search for roadmapping tools. Hope this helps, -dave
-
Hi, @Omkar Borle. As @Gaurav suggests, this is some you can def. do with Structure. If you decide to give it a try (free 30-day trial), the Structure team at Tempo would be happy to help you with your use case if you get stuck. Reach out to me here if you'd like that assistance. -dave
-
Hi, @Niall McPherson. Welcome to the community 👋 For an alternative opinion, I've seen many organizations use different hierarchies across different Jira teams/projects by using an Atlassian Marketplace add-on. In other words, Jira out of the box does not support this. That said, @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- is right in that…

Thanks, @Dave LIAO The credit for that concept goes to my colleague @Philip Heijkoop _ALM Works_.
-
Thanks, @Dan Moran 🙂

@Ravi Sagar _Sparxsys_ is right, @Steve_G. As he points out, you'll need to consider using Structure, or something like Structure. -dave
-
Hi, @Tiffany J. This is what they have so far.
-
Hi, @Jack Brickey . Yaniv is using Structure, from the marketplace 😉 @Yaniv L -- I've asked our Formula experts to have a look at your post.

Great summary @Kathryn Vargas _Tempo_ Exciting times ahead for our customers! 🚀
