With Jira 11.0.0 and 10.13.3 (LTS) backported there is a new option with REST. See https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-78660 and https://developer.atlassian.com/server/jira/platform/rest/v11002/api-group-user/#api-api-2-user-list-get Max results is 2000 but you have a new pagination: With the first call to…

I did not test wether the portfolio hierarchy is available in the jira standard plan, as portfolio itself is only available with premium, so I'm not 100% sure if portfolioChildIssuesOf() is also available in standard plan, but in prmium it is for sure. See above

Seems in November 2025 the correct jql function is portfolioChildIssuesOf. childIssuesOf does not work anymore and has been renamed, I guess - did not find a notice on this. So the correct jql in regards to the initial question should be: issue in portfolioChildIssuesOf("TH-1") or issue in portfolioChildIssuesOf("TH-2")

Hello John, thanks for the response. I thought, someone in the community could have asked that before or had some knowledge. I really don't believe, that I'm the first person with that question. And to be honest - I guess, I know supports answer. But I'll give it a try and let the community know. ;-) Cheers, Christian

Although this is an old entry, it showed up when I was searching for a similar solution. So for those stumbling about it after me: $user.emailAddress evaluates to the email address of the current user, not the profile User. Fortunately, there is the context variable profileUser, which differs from the user object as it is…

Thank you for this solution. This is the first out of three that works still in Jira 9.4.14 in 2024. The code given here by Aimane is quite different from that in the linked article Kudos!

Hello Bill, how do I have to understand this: "however, the Atlassian products do use the version that is present on the host system as a dependency. " OpenSSL is not installed by default at least on Windows systems. So how can there be a dependency?

Hi Ian, I would assume that the different ObjectHash is because of the missing install date in the second case. Have und checked ObjectHashSettings.xml to see which fields are used to build the ObjectHash ? Regards, Christian

Hello Dave, I somehow realized your intention - after I wrote my article. So maybe it's time for a new feature "Convert article to comment" like in "Convert issue to sub-task"? The thing is, it was the Kudos feature which made me aware of the channel and it just said - I actually can't find the original text - go there and…
-
Hm, seems it is the same feature as on server / dc. You can have it set globally and the standard in your personal settings says "Follow the global settings". You can overwrite that global setting with Yes, auto watch or No, don't auto watch. So probably your sites global setting is Off and you have not set anything in…

That is exactly what I'm about to do. There is an Add On available to sync from groups to organizations ( unfortunately not the other way around ) and my customer is preparing the data right now. Then I'm going to fill a hidden multi group picker field on changes of the organizations field and use those groups in…

Hello Simmo, that is right, and I Want to do it with an Automation Rule of the Automation App. Cheers, Christian

Thank you guys! Helped me with json.dumps() !
-
Hello David, did you then try the article mentioned in the first place from Rilwan? Cheers, Christian
-
Still available in Version 8.5.7 . If you are behind. Just try.
-
Well Guilherme, you are right. That should be investigated and I think ist was. This error is known since 2010: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-20335 But someone decided to do nothing. Okay, someone (else ?) decided to write a kb article at least:…

Still works for Server

What is the correct way to refresh a testing environment from a production environment? OR: After transferring data from a production environment via xml-Export, how do i get rid of the node references in the database which result in a lot of error messages in the log?

Hello Ivan, did you find any solution? A customer of mine ran into the same problem. Cheers, Christian

Hi @barnesy , its February the 28, 2019 6.14 is out and 6.6 ist still marked as the current enterprise release according to https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/atlassian-enterprise-releases-948227420.html Any answers or hints? Cheers, Christian

Hello, I ran into a problem with the Manage Add-Ons or recently named Manage Apps page, where the plugins are retrieved, with a request using the HEAD method. So, all systems with proxies not allowing the use of HEAD method do have a problem here. At this point unsure, if my clients security admins will allow an exception…

Hi all, I do not remember where I needed it and if, how I solved it - unfortunately. Hm, I think I used a button somehow to trigger my code manually. But I remember that I did not see any Sprint...Event as given in the screenshot above, so that was my question then. But thanks for the hints, even if late ;-) Cheers,…

Hello Lauretha, thanks, I fixed my problem and gave a solution for others, because this cause/solution is missing in your kb article. ;-) The articel ( I already mentioned in my post) has the same symptom, but a different cause ! This affects only customers using de_DE locale when exporting and importing. Sorry that I…
