Yes, if you make sure the ports are all different Host A - Jira node 1, Confluence node 1 Host B - Jira node 2, Confluence node 2 The performance may be sluggish unless you have a lot of memory allocated to heap I don't think you can run Jira node 1 and Jira node 2 on the same host though

A Jira project has an issue type scheme listing the issue types that can be used. Not all may actually be used An issue type scheme has a set of issue types Issue types have their own table in the DB. This info is usually easier to extract using a script in the ScriptRunner console, or perhaps via the REST API

Could you add some more detail about what aspects of Jira you've used for company recognition please. Number of issues, completion rate, size of issues?

I wrote the first book to mention Jira as a tool back in 2005. Then one of the first series of books to discuss administering Jira in 2011. Back when people used books to learn technical subjects!

Do you mean you are modifying the colors that come pre-defined in an on-prem Jira instance? To do that, there are many places to change the settings, both core and in system plugins. If you do, you'll need to choose a scheme that works for color blind people. There are lots of tools out there to help choose good,…

I think we would want to use something after 9.12.0, which means early 2024 at the latest. I'm ok with upgrading to a well-tested 9.4.x since it will be more than a few months for us

Lots of people got to ride their parents when they were small. Or older siblings. So I'm going to go for "humans"

Up until ten years ago I drank Diet Coke, about 12 cans day. Starting with breakfast. Room temperature or cold, it didn't matter. I would go to customers' offices with a 12-pack ready, just in case they didn't have any Diet Coke in their breakrooms. Eventually my pancreas objected and I spent 6 weeks unable to do much out…

You can also start at the Partner Directory https://partnerdirectory.atlassian.com/ and set the filter to Licenses

If you use subtasks they all have to be in the same project as the parent issue. But they are only 1:N not N:M

Where custom = false

If you update from Status A to Status B and both statuses are in the same Status Category, then that date would not change.

Getting a phone that is work-only helped for me. If I'm not on-call, I don't carry it. The official phone number for me at work is that work cell phone. I've given my personal cell number to just a few team members in case I am really needed, and added them to my favorites list so there will be a ring tone for just them.…

The serverinfo call has that I think

I'd look at ScriptRunner JQL functions for comments. But then I'd also be scripting code to automaticalky add comments to issues each day! I'm not convinced that the number of comments add really reflects useful work being done. It would be like measuring a manager by the number of meetings they attend.

That's pretty exhaustive! :) I would add that perhaps most transitions should have matching transitions going in the other direction, for when people accidentally change status.

Make sure you are using a recent version of ScriptRunner if you want to use "issuefunction in expression" https://productsupport.adaptavist.com/browse/SRJIRA-5647

I'd check the atlassian-jira.log file for more info about the problem. That error is a pretty generic one. And contact Atlassian Support

For Data Center https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-67279 is one example of problems when there are many projects https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-66940 is another example https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-63784 is yet another and I would expect that similar issues could apply in Cloud. If…

This worked for me a few months ago with Jira Software Data Center 8.13 import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor import com.atlassian.jira.permission.ProjectPermissions import com.atlassian.jira.security.plugin.ProjectPermissionKey import com.atlassian.jira.scheme.SchemeEntity import…

That's not supported :( You could create a suggestion at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER but don't hold your breath. If you are using on-prem Jira you could use the ScriptRunner plugin to create a custom REST API to do this. But before optimizing all this, I would get some results to prove that doing it one at…

We do this. The JVM flag -Dupm.pac.disable=true is useful to stop Jira trying to reach the Atlassian Marketplace for plugins

For Jira Cloud I'm not sure

In Jira Data Center one can use a plugin such as ScriptRunner to create a scripted field that shows the number of comments, and sort by that to find issues with a large number of comments. Or if you have access to the database you can use a query such as select issueid, count(*) from jiraaction group by issueid order by…

Run an advanced search and click on a few columns at the top. The JQL will show how to do this
