I'm late to this, and it's not a perfect answer, but i can confirm that @[deleted]'s hack of adding -The+Name+Of+The+Page to the Title field works. Obviously not a great solution for large Spaces.

I just tried this, and while it's a hassle to have to create a whole new workflow, and manually enter the property into each transition - it seems to work. Even if it doesn't work 100%, it's still going to prevent most of the avenues for incorrectly-placed estimates or work logs. FWIW i copied the existing workflow,…

Is there any free equivalent of this for Cloud instances?

Subby, that should work, but apparently, Version and Release reports can't be configured with Time data - only points. (apparently they mean different things in this context, although in most other places in the UX, they're synonymous). I'd love to be proven wrong!

Daryl, If you read to the end of that article, the last paragraph states: All of that said one of the key precepts of Agile is finding the way that works for you. So GreenHopper does support the alternatives described above including the use of remaining estimates for sprint commitment, hours for estimation and hour…

Well said, Alexandr! For a tool that is so supremely configurable, customizeable, and tweak-able down to the most obscure bits, it's extremely frustrating that simple ideas like yours - which I would think the vast majority of the user community agrees with - are dismissed out-of-hand. There are so many examples where most…

Doesn't look like it. I found this thread trying to figure this out in Cloud. Jira tends to make the most obvious functionality next to impossible. It's usually based on an obscure use case or rule that they insist must be supported, even when it's clear that the user community disagrees.

We seem to have stumbled on a workaround, that was defined some time ago by another team in our company but we're not sure if they were using it effectively. Anyway, they created a new custom field just called "Estimated Days" that lives at the story level. It can be used for estimating the Story's effort in days. It's not…

Better to remain silent, and be thought a fool; than to speak, and remove all doubt.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you're suggesting to create a new field that the Original Estimate can be copied to in the event that something changes it?

This link is out there, it took me forever to find it: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/atlassian-cloud-ip-ranges-and-domains-744721662.html However I think this is for the entirety of Jira's UX, not just the DVCS connection. I am currently on the quest to find the specific subset of this information required to…

@Jay Collett, did you find that you need to open all of those ports and domains? I imagine that your infosec group balked at the scope of the request. My guess is that the domains, ports and IPs listed in that doc are for all of Jira's UX to be accessible through a firewall. But what is necessary only to enable the GitHub…

Confluence Source Editor isn't available for Cloud. What I want is fairly simple, although clearly more complex in practice. I want to be able to use Jira macros on Confluence pages set up as templates, and pass a variable into the parameter of the Jira macro. Has anyone solved this for Cloud?

This happened to me through a fat-finger where a story got changed to 1920 points. Now the burndown looks horrendous.

Thanks - this is exactly what I've been looking for for a while now, and I hadn't come across this page before. Why is it so hidden?? Did you find the integration was useful? Did you compare it at all to the add-on that does presumably the same things? I have no affiliation with them, I'm just looking at the addon and…
