This looks like some environment variables are not available for the user running Bamboo. Let's test that by creating a test plan and run the below commands in a shell task choosing Powershell as the interpreter. echo "Full Path"[Environment]::GetEnvironmentVariable("Path")echo "System…

Thanks for clarifying. Have you already tried this add-on for deploying JBoss applications?
-
Are you attempting to host Bamboo using JBoss or you wanted to build and deploy JBoss applications using Bamboo and are looking for add-ons like Bamboo JBoss Tasks? If you wanted to host Bamboo on JBoss, may we know the reason why you had to do so?
-
Hi Loganathan, If your concern is that you cannot install this plugin due to its incompatibility with the latest Bamboo 6.3.x, one of our engineers has bumped up the supported version of Bamboo JBoss tasks add-on to work with Bamboo 6.3.1. Hope that works for you now. Let us know if you have issues with its working.

Hi Omar, There is no option to view or export plan in the YAML format like you export plan as Specs (yet). We have updated the documentation already (and it will be reflected shortly on the live site). Thanks for bringing this up.
-
Can you check if you have plan variable configured with the same name? Note that plan variables override global variables with the same name.

Hi Luis, What does the bamboo build log complain? Weird thing is that this just happens in the build-dir directory. I assume you are not able to compile your project within the build directory, but the compilation is successful when run outside. Am I right? This to me looks like a permission issue. Check if the bamboo user…

I see there is an existing feature request for this - BAM-6558. Please feel free to vote it.

Hi Adrian, Have you tried other artifact definition syntax examples other than **/sample-data-*.exe as described here? The copy pattern is relative to the location specified within the build directory and you may not use the absolute path to refer to the location.

But can I connect a 6.0 database to a new installed 6.3 Bamboo Generally, the upgrade instruction goes like this as mentioned in this documentation. * Unzip the latest archive. * Point bamboo.home variable in this file <bamboo-install-dir>/atlassian-bamboo/WEB-INF/classes/bamboo-init.properties to your old home directory…

Absolutely not. Bamboo is actively being developed and new releases are happening almost every 2 weeks as you see in our download archive. Could you please elaborate what made you think that way? If you got this thought due to Bitbucket Pipelines, you may find it answered here.
-
If you are installing Bamboo fresh, it is sufficient to follow our usual installation instruction. Once installed, you may change your database settings by editing this file - <Bamboo-Home>/bamboo.cfg.xmlfile as explained here. If you intend to restore the old instance by connecting to your old database, it is essential to…

If you experience slowness in artifact transfer and publish activity, check if you experience the same slowness by using a script task (with scp) to transfer the artifact instead of using Artifact download task. If the slowness is experienced when transferring via a script task, it is likely to be a network issue and you…

Hi Ruth, Like @somethingblue said, hardware considerations can be based on your usage. You may find these links helpful for hardware planning and best practices. For Bamboo - find here. For Bitbucket - find here.

Hey Ajay, Please mention the commands for compiling the code. Can you please elaborate which code you are referring to? In general, script task helps you to enter the respective commands you would like to run. the commands to unit testing, commands for integration testing. These are generally the testing methods and you…

If your question is about passing custom remote agent capabilities to multiple agents - yes, it is possible. You will just have to create a file named bamboo-capabilities.properties in <bamboo-agent-home>/bin on the agent machine and use the formats shown at this link in this file to add your custom capabilities. You will…

I see there are some existing feature requests around Wallboard feature - BAM-10370 and BAM-15585 Please feel free to vote and add your comments to share views on this with our developers. It is very important for them to understand user demand while prioritizing this item.

If you are using Windows and starting Bamboo as a Windows service, you will have to alter this parameter by following this link .

You can check what you see in the database with this query select * from users where fullname='Erlend Sand Bærland'; If you see the entry is set right and you still see it shows ? in Bamboo UI, you will just have to change the encoding in Bamboo by following this KB article. In short, you will have to add this line under…

If your requirement is to just upload the results within TestRail, I see TestRail has a very simple API that allows you to push test run results. Just create a script task in your plan and that pushes the results of the build from Bamboo to TestRail via their API. http://docs.gurock.com/testrail-api2/start

Hi, You will find more clue in <bamboo-home>/logs/atlassian-bamboo.log

I believe you are running into the issue that was explained in this KB. The solution is to correct the Security ACL (Right click > Properties > Security) on both the cipher directory and cipher key so that the user that's starting Bamboo has ownership: - <BAMBOO-HOME>/xml-data/configuration/cipher/ -…

Instead of deleting the folders in build directory manually, I recommend you set a global expiry. This allows you to manage the timing for when build and deployment artifacts should be deleted from your Bamboo system. This global expiry event runs periodically (as determined by the expiry Schedule) at 2AM every day.

It sounds like that particular AMI is not supported by a Spot instance request. The Amazon documentation on supported instances for spot looks pretty limited but from what I can find, Windows Server with SQL Server isn't able to be used with spot:…

Hi Jenia, If you are using Bitbucket Server, you may use Bamboo. If you're on Bitbucket Cloud, use pipelines. With this, I assume you are using Bitbucket server and below are the answers to your queries. -- To create a project in Bamboo, click on Create -> Create Project. -- To integrate Bamboo with Bitbucket, create an…

From your description, I assume you have 2 branches in your SVN repository - a trunk and a production branch. Now you wanted to get an alert when there is a mismatch in both the branches. Please clarify if otherwise. We can do so by the following sequence. Write a script (using a Script task) with the below logic. - Do…

Hi Frans, We might need more information from you. Let me create a support ticket for you and followup from there.

Hi Archie, From your brief description, I assume you have configured some form of Repository trigger in your plan and Bamboo fails to trigger a new build based on your changes in the repository - thereby resulting in code coverage not getting completed. Correct me if I understood it wrong. If the repository is in Bitbucket…

RSS is Repository Stored Specs. You can now configure your build plan by coding in Java using Bamboo Specs. This Bamboo Specs can now be stored in a Bitbucket repository and this repository is referred as RSS repository. Hope that clarifies.

Hi Johan, Java 1.9 is not yet supported by Bamboo 6.2. Please check System requirements page for the list of tools that are supported. You might have to install JDK 1.8 and then restart the application with it.
