Filed a feature request to track this (although this is not officially supported) - BAM-18870

You will just have to follow the steps mentioned in this documentation - Integrating Bamboo with LDAP and How to set up LDAP in Bamboo

Bamboo can run without any issues if it meets the basic system requirements based on your usage. In general, for Bamboo to run smooth, it is recommended to allocate at least 2GB RAM. Nevertheless, you can check what's happening in your atlassian-bamboo.log and catalina.out under logs/directory.

I hope you have defined a plan variable already. That means you will just have to substitute in your SSH command field of your SSH task like below. ${bamboo.yourVariableName} Where, yourVariableName is the name of the variable that you have defined. You can also use Inject Variables task, so that you can define multiple…

Please elaborate more. How is your plan configured and what's the workflow? Where do you get this error? In the Build logs? Did you get any clue in catalina.out or atlassian-bamboo.log about what's happening? Maybe you will just update Bamboo to the latest version, as this export to specs keeps improving with new versions…

You can split into 2 plans and make planB to be dependant on PlanA and make them dependant of each other. That way, if the child build uses the same source as the parent build (for example, the Git URL is the same), the child build will be forced to check out the same revision of source code as the parent build. This…

.. and this page explains how to trigger dependent plans and set some advance Dependency blocking strategies.

With the little information you have provided, I just googled the error and found this post. Did you follow the steps mentioned there? Can you please try to run the same project from the command line of your EC2 instance (from the same directory where Bamboo tries to run your project) using the same user that runs the…

Hi Adrian, You will just need to add an scp task at the end of your plan, so that you can move your artifacts to the remote Windows server. Note: You need SSH daemon/service (pscp for instance) to be running on your Windows machine, so that you can scp into it.

Hi Matt, You do not want a database to run a remote agent. That said, you will have to run the remote agent only with a supported JDK. However, Agents can build software with any JDK version. Hope that clarifies.

I suspect this is caused due to the wrong encoding. Check if the encoding is set to UTF8 by going to Overview -> System Information. If not, just follow this page to update it * Shutdown Bamboo * Edit <Bamboo Installation Dir>/bin/setenv.sh * Add this line in quotes under JVM_SUPPORT_RECOMMENDED_ARGS= -Dfile.encoding=utf-8…

This is certainly possible with Bamboo. This Getting started guide might help you to start with it. This page tells you what Bamboo can solve. You just need the following tasks in your plan. * Use Source code checkout task to checkout your code from Bitbucket. * Depending on the project, use the appropriate tasks to build.…

If Bamboo is set to detect new branches, it will poll Bitbucket Server every 5 minutes. If Bamboo is set to find new branches in any Source Code repository, it will try to make these calls. This functionality is different to the pull request notifications specific to the Bitbucket Server Application link. I was able to…

I guess it is because powershell doesn't close it's output stream properly and thus Bamboo wouldn't get exit 0 or 1 to decide if the task is a pass or fail. Check if this KB helps - Powershell script hangs. You should basically add a '-inputformat none' to the command argument. -inputformat none -command

If you can build a package via command prompt, it is possible to execute with Bamboo. I see there is an existing thread that explains this. Maybe this nuget - command line documentation might also help you construct your plan via script task.
-
Hi, Did you get any clue from the Build logs? Maybe it gives you a clue on why it hangs. I suggest you to use script task in your plan and invoke your script like below by choosing powershell as the interpreter. bash ./script.sh
-
Are you using Bamboo starter pack? With that, you can only create local agents and not remote agents. You can purchase remote agent licenses after evaluating for 30 days. Hope that clarifies.
-
Not sure what error you are getting. When you say that you are able to compile via command prompt, how about using Script task with interpreter as Windows Power Shell and add the respective set of commands inline? Check if it works for you. If it doesn't, check the build log and compare it with the result of running…

Generally, when you've changed your environment, such as upgrading, migrating physical servers or even URLs, it's best to recreate the application link on both sides (as recommended in Application Links Troubleshooting Guide) . Try that first as many things are changed in the latest versions of Bamboo and Bitbucket. If you…

If you are starting Bamboo as a Windows service, setting in setenv.bat will not work. You have to set the system properties either via the command line or in the Windows registry. This page explains just that - Configuring your system properties. Hope that helps.

I hope you have already installed Remote agents. If not, please click Install remote agent button in Overview -> Agents page. Once installed, it should get listed under Remote agents section in the same page. You should find an Enable/Disable button when you click on the respective agent name listed under Remote agents…

Hi Kaushik, I hope this Developer documentation helps you to create a sample event listener. With this, you can extend a BuildEvent or a BuildResultEvent. This page has an example of a very basic notification listener. Hope that helps!

Hi, You can enable Plan dependancy in your PlanA, so that it triggers planB when planA's build has successfully completed.

I see multiple Allure plugins in Marketplace to parse reports from XML files. I'm not sure how they are implemented. Maybe this is a question to ask the respective Plugin developers? Just go to their respective Marketplace page and click on Support (tab). This has their contact details.

Hi Manish, Just for future reference, we have been supporting Bamboo Starter License users exclusively through the Atlassian Community since July 10 2017 as announced in this blog. Hope that clarifies why your query was redirected to the community.

Is GitLab behind a firewall? What happens when you use the same credentials to clone the Git repository manually from the same machine via a command prompt?
-
WRT builds slowing down, you can start investigating by looking at the agent build log and compare it with the previous logs. Different total times can be due to the network latency or Elastic agent memory usage and what not. WRT plans create SNAPSHOTS with the same name, did you intend to refer release naming scheme? If…

Hi, Are you able to deploy successfully outside Bamboo?
-
When you say that the Bamboo script was deleted, did you mean the startup script <Bamboo-install-dir>/bin/start-bamboo.sh? If so, just unzip the Bamboo install archive and get the same file from there and then start Bamboo. You can enter the new license once it is running.

Awesome! Glad it helped.
