Dear Brian, There are multiple reports in JIRA that will show the requested data. The average resolution of issues for a given time period can be done with; Resolution Time Report Shows the length of time taken to resolve a set of issues for a project/filter. This helps you identify trends and incidents that you can…

Dear Dharma, 1) Acquire a new Server ID: Install a new, temporary instance of the JIRA application. Make sure the installation points to a new, empty home directory and a new, empty database Start the new, temporary instance. A new server ID will be created in the database. Run the following query on your new database to…

I agree, that is why anyone would simply copy and paste the links into a text editor like you stated as this would be most convenient. This would not require any export or importing of spaces.
-
Would it not be handier just to replace the links on the page? It is effectively what you are already doing. There is no need to export it.
-
Dear Aditi, I am afraid there is no other way than to find/replace those links. It is your only option here. Friendly Regards, Jeremy Mooiman

Dear Carlos, It is indeed possible to have Nested Groups within JIRA. However, you will have to enable it from the directories page and some other rules apply. See; https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/managing-nested-groups-861253195.html?_ga=2.237073731.2113350370.1497029890-596414308.1495112396 Friendly…

Thank you Nic! I have nothing more to add :-).

Dear Jesse, If you have a server (self hosted) variant you will find the number below at the footer of your instance. If you have cloud (Atlassian hosted) variant you will always have the latest available version and thus cannot see the ''agile'' navigation in the top bar. The ''agile'' navigation was scrapped in 6.3. All…
-
Dear Jesse, This wholly depends on your version of JIRA. May I ask what version you use? Friendly Regards, Jeremy

@Ian And as a reminder; I also commented on https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Questions/What-is-the-best-way-to-link-an-MLR-to-multiple-epics/qaq-p/595921#M51778

Dear Ian, Then the following is going on here; The project does not allow your role (user?) to delete issues. So unfortunately, you will have to ask someone in a role who is able to remove your issue to do so. Delete issues Permission to delete issues. Think carefully about which groups or project roles you assign this…

Before JIRA 6.2, newly created projects use the Default Issue Type Scheme. After JIRA 6.2 all new projects are created with a new Issue Type Scheme, Workflow and Screen Scheme. This requires a lot of task as the users have to change the assigned schemes and then delete the new ones. In order to avoid creating new issue…

Dear Andrei, You can request a free trial environment here; https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/try Feel free to upvote this if it helped! Friendly Regards,

Dear Ian, No, a story can only exist in a single epic. Since epics are usually considered high-level items and stories are the smaller, more defined pieces of that item, you should have multiple stories in an epic, not multiple epics for a story. If you want to sort issues into multiple areas I would suggest you use the…
-
Dear Ian, You can simply delete an issue when you are on the page of an Issue. Press ''More'' and ''Delete''. You do need the required permissions to remove the issue though, if you do not have those.. you will not be able to delete it.…

Dear Abraham, I have the same behaviour on my own Cloud Instances. It has never been different for me on Atlassian Cloud. If it was different for you, contact Atlassian Support about it if you have a SEN number: https://support.atlassian.com/ If you found any of my answers helpful, please do upvote :-) Friendly Regards,…
-
Dear Abraham, I see.. so you do not see the issue in the Activity Stream once you have created it? Because that is normal behaviour. You need to refresh the page for the issue to be added to the Activity Stream. Friendly Regards, Jeremy Mooiman
-
Dear Craig, This would effectively make them move to open source though.. and might bring even greater security risks. So I doubt that they will be doing that. Friendly Regards

Dear Vasileios, First of all let me explain what triggers and such are used for; Triggers – transition JIRA issues when certain events occur in a connected development tool, such as Bitbucket. Conditions – check that a transition should be performed by the user. Validators – check that any input to the transition (for…

Dear Ipsita, Indeed quite a new version that has the ''Manage Sprint'' permissions. Are you a jira administrator on the environment itself? If so, try to find the ''Permission Helper'' on the right search bar or in quick search. You can give a Issue number that is in the project you have a problem with and see if you have…
-
Dear Abraham, So after creating an issue you do not see the following message on the right part of your screen; Issue "EXAMPLE'' has been successfully created. What version of JIRA are you using? Friendly Regards,

Dear Ipsita, What version of JIRA are you using? What Tarun stated above is indeed true, yet this is not the case for all versions of JIRA. Friendly Regards, Jeremy Mooiman
-
Dear Markus, So you need to give acces to certain pages to external (anonymous?) users. Am I right? You cannot enable public acces when the space is not accessible for the public. You will have to create a dedicated space to make it public. If you do not want any public spaces but only for a certain set of users.. you will…
-
Dear Samantha, I noticed too that this issue has been going for some time. See: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-23322 It seems that the only 'fix' possible, as you can read on the support ticket is to have the user allow the ''external protocol'' ms-word the first time the user clicks on the ''Edit Document''…

Dear Andrei, Jira is definitely able to host multiple projects. It provides bug tracking, issue tracking, and project management functions. It is a great tool for a big workload and you can order all of your different tasks perfectly in either seperate projects or workflows. Jira can be used in a very diverse manner based…
