I would solve this by pairing Rovo and Automation: * Trigger: Scheduled, 9am weekly (Advanced with cron expression 0 0 9 ? * MON-FRI) * Action: Use Agent, select your agent, put in a prompt that returns the message in the format you desire. * Action: Sent Microsoft Teams message via webhook, configured to the channel of…

Great content @Sumit Fartode - thanks for taking the time to write this up!
-
Turns out I was wrong! There is a beta skill now for Send Email from Gmail and Send Email from Outlook. Seems like they are still in development but I'd give them a try.
-
* Interesting, if you render the HTML it generates yourself does it behave the same way? You most likely could convince Rovo to get you something more concise if not - just asking it to minimize whitespace should be enough but I'd have to play with it a bit to be sure. Curious what you find! * That's where scenarios come…

There are no skills currently that handle the creation of emails. The workaround @Dwight Holman proposed is solid though! If you did want a skill that could be invoked directly from Rovo chat you'd have to build that out in Forge.
-
@Dwight Holman I don't think there is any way of converting {{agentResponse}} to HTML directly, I tried {{agentResponse.wiki.html}} as you can do that to other wiki markup fields like {{issue.description.html}}, but it didn't work. That being said, why not have Rovo do the conversion for you when you prompt it in your…
-
@Matt Riti Can you share the prompt you are using? The expected behavior is definitely that Rovo can set the description field, and others.
-
@Rina Nir this is awesome! I recently went through this with Zephyr (which takes three API calls to create test cases, steps, and link them to a work item) and also struggled with escape characters. What I found helpful was more explicitly defining how the JSON payload was built as well as providing an example. What made…

Fantastic writeup @Dave Rosenlund _Trundl_! It's so easy to get caught up in the hype about AI tools from seeing news articles about agents winning math competitions and such and losing track of what the tools we have available are actually good at.
-
@Divya Sudhakar _US - ADVS_ as of recently, the ability to edit custom fields on existing work items as well as when creating work items has been released for Agents specifically. The functionality will be coming to Chat soon!
-
@Anuj Batta why do you need Rovo for this? It sounds like a basic JQL query, something including: fixVersion IS EMPTY or component IS EMPTY
-
Hi @Georg Fankhauser! You're definitely on the right track, another useful doc is Rovo Data Privacy and Usage Guidelines. As you've discovered, permissions for individual documents is synced along with the content from the third party data source. Reviewing docs like Connect SharePoint to Rovo, we definitely could be more…

@Ryan_Buschmeyer - a lookup table is a great solution! If you're looking for an alternative approach, I've found using the .asObject and .asList methods to be more reliable than jsonStringToObject() when working with {{agentResponse}}. See How to Use {{agentResponse}} in Atlassian Automation: Unlocking the Power of…
-
Another way to parse JSON from {{agentResponse}} is the .asObject and .asList methods - I've found it more reliable than the functions mentioned above. See How to Use {{agentResponse}} in Atlassian Automation: Unlocking the Power of AI-Driven Workflows for more info on how to use them!
-
Totally see the dilemma here @Don Hames! The only way I can think of to get around this would be to loop through your JSON as you're doing, then use the Send Web Request action to hit PUT /rest/api/3/issue/{issueIdOrKey} to make updates to your work items. If you haven't worked with that action before, see How to extend…
-
@Yong Zhu Lai - did you ever get this figured out? If not, I ran a workshop on connecting Forge to a remote API last week that might help provide a framework for you: Let's Build A Rovo Agent - Your First Forge Agent. If you check out the Resources tab in that recording you'll find the example code I used for that agent.
-
@Matteo Gubellini _SoftComply_ if you're interested in this still, looks like my answer above helped :)
-
Glad to hear it @Ivan LN! In theory you should be able to leverage scenarios to have one agent handle both the grammar and tone checks but no big disadvantage to having one agent handle both.
-
@Alexander Ziegltrum my guess is that the agent is not correctly returning the Team value in the JSON response. A couple things to try to validate that: * Open up your agent in chat and prompt it with AUTOMATION Analyze <valid issue key>. Does the expected JSON object get returned? See an example in the instructions for…
-
Thanks for getting these published @Jensen Fleming! We've been making heavy use of {{agentResponse.asObject}} to combine agents with automation and it's a powerful tool. For anyone who wants to see an example of this in action, check out our Let's build a Rovo Agent workshop series. In particular the JSM Triage agent we…

@Daryna Podchakha see my response on https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Rovo-questions/Rovo-Agent-to-read-custom-fields/qaq-p/3118830#M1370 - if you could share your prompt that would be helpful in understanding what might be going on here. Rovo should be able to read custom field data - if there are custom fields with…

@Zaki Zoubian if you didn't see @Ivan Tse's response above, the bug report can be found here: ROVO-370
-
Thanks @Jason U! Glad to hear it has been helpful. Are there any Rovo related topics you'd like to see us dive into more in the future?
-
It would help to see your prompt to see how you're building your output. I use variations of the phrase Return the following output without any additional commentary or formatting: whenever I am working with an agent that interacts with automation. I also recommend having a dedicated scenario configured for automation that…
-
Are you using the agent to directly create the ticket, or is it happening in automation based on the agent output? I have had good experience using markdown to templatize format for both work items and Confluence pages, but I don't think that Rovo will respect Jira's markup. Is there a strong reason you need that…
-
My guess is that it has to do with the bot account you created when setting up the Rovo Slack app: When you add Rovo to your Slack, you’ll need to create a bot account that determines the permissions Rovo uses in public channels. Make sure you only give the bot access to information or pages that you are comfortable with…
-
Super helpful! I've added the positive/negative examples to all of my scenario triggers now.
-
Agreed with @Rebekka Heilmann _viadee_, if you could post your prompt here that would help! Perhaps you need to emphasize that only those fields should be returned. It also may help to use the field IDs instead (i.e. customfield_12345) as that removes any ambiguity with duplicate field names.
-
A couple questions here: * How many work items is your filter returning? * How many custom fields does your instance have? It's possible in less governed instances for the calls to pull Jira data to have an excessive number of empty fields associated with each work item due to custom fields not having strict contexts which…
-
Hi @Daryna Podchakha, Rovo can absolutely parse filter links and has the ability to create charts (if you're working in an agent, ensure that you have the Create charts action selected). I just tested this with the prompt in chat: Given the following filter , create a pie chart based on the statuses of those work items.…
