Capable - An App that Marketing Teams Prost!

Prost everyone! 🍻 We're loving reading all the posts this Apptober and we've got a bunch of demo's that we will be releasing later this month ourselves!

In response to this week's Apptoberfest discussion on Apps for Marketing teams, it's important to remember that when it comes to choosing Confluence tools for marketing teams, simplicity and ease of use are critical.

While marketing teams are often tech-savvy, not everyone knows Atlassian tools inside out. Atlassian’s strength is its wide range of apps, but it’s also it’s biggest weakness. Effortless Campaign Scheduling: Capable’s calendar feature allows marketing teams to schedule campaigns seamlessly. Just type // to add a date, and team members can view all the dates on this page on the Capable Calendar macro by typing /.

Tracking Deadlines Easily: By pressing the shortcut (.) key or clicking the Capable top bar, users can instantly view the number of scheduled dates, making it easy to manage deadlines.

Enhanced Search: The search navigator allows users to view key information like dates, attachments, and word counts in the sidebar, making it easy to find specific assets. Here’s a typical problem someone from a marketing team might face:
- Problem: You’ve added an image to a Confluence page but later need to publish a post quickly and can’t find the original file, leaving you to search through copious pages for it.
- Solution: In your Capable dashboard, use Search and filter by labels like “campaigns.” Enable the attachments column to locate pages with attachments. Select the page, click “Attachments,” and download all files in one click.

@James Bridge I totally hear you about having a bunch of tools in one place, one app. Less to manage and better value for money.

I run our marketing and I'm the unofficial chief content writer.

With a similar logic as Capable we created Space Content Manager. The focus is on bulk content management.

Bulk find and replace is one of the features, I use it a lot. 'Confluence' written 'confluence' because faster to type without proper capitalization is a classic. Forgivable for internal pages, not for documentation.

When we changed the name of one of our apps having a way to bulk find and replace saved us a lot of stress, not so much about speed but about accurately, too easy to miss an occurrence.

Brilliant, ye you've certainly found the same type of pain point there (time and efficiency compromised in Confluence) and you've created a solution! Lack of caps is a classic and a quick, accurate way of being able to resolve this is very handy!
