How to setup SMTP and Mail handlers in Self hosting Jira(localhost:8080)

Hi All,

I am trying to create mail handlers in my self hosting Jira which I am using for learning purposes. I tried creating POP/IMAP using my Gmail account but it dint connect and throwing errors.

I tried to set up SMTP, but same happened. It says it couldn't verify the login details.

Can someone guide me how to set up these.

Without giving us the errors, we can't really tell you a lot beyond "you are probably giving it the wrong settings"

It shouldn't be tricky. Just set up options like at screen below:

And don't forget to allow less secure apps in your Gmail account (https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps):
