Extract Value from Custom Field and use it in jql ?

Hi all ...

I have a custom field named "SLATime" and i write there values like -3h or -50m.

To the search question ...

Its already possible to find all issues with state open and created within the last 3 hours.

project = SD AND status = Open AND created >= -3h

I want now to search issues the same way but with the value of the SLATime field

project = SD AND status = Open AND created >= valueof("SLATime")

Is this possible ?

If you used a numeric field for SLATime, eg 180 instead of "-3h", you could use the expression function in the script runner plugin. This is much harder than you probably think, JQL wasn't really designed for this kind of sql-like concept.

The query would be something like:

issueFunction in expression("project = SD and status = Open", "created > (SLATime * 60000) + today)")

But, I haven't really checked that and you would need to experiment a bit, not sure about the millisecond conversion there. You might want to consider writing your own jql function, either using this plugin, or not.
