how to search issue based on select list custom filed value

Question

I have jira issue with one custom filed select list [fruits]possible values [orange,apple,banana ], I want search all issue where value is apple. I tired below options project = "" and fruits = "apple" project = "" and fruits ~ "apple" I am using Jira Project Management Software (v7.11.2#711002-sha1:fdc329d) version.
