How can I make a filter for multiple Projects with same Name-Parameters

Hi!

I am working in a company, which has multible Customers for one product.
So we have multiple projects, one per customer and the jira-projects naming-convention is: "Productname X - Customername". So the Product-Name is in this case always the same, and the customername not, of course. Also we are steadly getting new customers.

So, I want to have a filter, which shows me all the Bug-Tickets of all this projects. And I don't want to change the filter each time, we are getting a new customer/new jira-project.

So, is it possible somehow to filter for project, which starting with the same name? So that the filter shows me all jira-projects with project starts with "Productname X"

there is the wildcard-search for text, but is this somehow doable for Projects?

I hope you understand my issue...

Regex for projects is not supported by default in Jira. But by using a paid plugin (Script runner) it's possible to have it.

The above JQL fetches issues from all projects starting with "productname"

We found a way for us to filter in a good way without any plugin.

You can give each project in jira a "category" in Admin -> System -> Projects an there you have "project categories".

Here you can add categories. (In our case "productname").

Then you can add to each project this category and filter for this category et voila!
