In a jira next gen project is there a way to display the status value in the backlog.

Question

I cannot seem to find a way to display an issue's status on the backlog unless I click on the issue. I want it to display like the description, ticket id and estimated story points do.

Currently, the status does not show in the backlog and we can't customize it to show the status.
