Hello! I am currently working in a small team and we want to backup all data from jira. Now there is a little problem: I do not have access to the Database. So I know all information in the files (like server.xml) but there are information I can not find. E.g.: * Language conf. * Mailserver conf. * ... So I thought Information like these might be stored in the Database. Now my real question: Is there any (good) documentation of which information I can find in the database? Cheers! T.

Hello,

I have not seen info. which would be complete about data in the database. But basically if you do a backup, you have to backup the Jira folder on your server and the Jira database.

The problem is that we currently can not backup the database that is why I have to find out what would be missing.

If you have access to Jira then you can backup the database. Go to cog wheel -> system -> backup system. A backup file will be created in jira_home/export folder. It is the backup of the database. You can restore it in cog wheel -> system -> restore system.
