What controls the display of configured field for the New Jira Issue View?

Hello Community,

I'm a new Jira administrator, working with Jira Cloud.

I put a lot of work into configuring screens for my issue types before discovering the New Jira Issue View.

My Questions is, why don't all the configured fields for the New Jira Issue View get displayed in the Jira issue?

I understand in the configuration in the Issue Layout I can hide fields by dragging them into the hide pane, but I am not seeing all the fields included in the Primary and Secondary Fields sections.

I'm assuming the New issue View is an override to my Issue Type Screen Scheme and Screen Schemes.

I like the New Issue View, and would like to use it, but need to understand the controls around the configuration.

Any assistance and clarification on this matter would be appreciated.

I found the answer to my issue.

I needed to apply missing context to the Story Point custom field.

Also, I discovered my assumption was incorrect. New Issue View does reference the configured Screen in the associated schemes.
