How to import project from hosted Jira to Jira Cloud

BB_xxjt0n

We have an old hosted JIRA installation running v.6.0.8. We have try to upgrade this to 7.0 without success.

We decided to join JIRA cloud solution for simplicity. What is the recommended way to migrate/import our projects into JIRA cloud.

I have tried a backup/restore but this failed too. What should I try next?

Hi @BB

If you have issues with upgrading, you should solve that first because you should upgrade your JIRA to the latest version before you perform an export/import to cloud.

If that is solved, you can find the instructions to migrate to cloud here

Keep in mind that this will overwrite all data in your cloud instance.

If you already have data in your cloud environment please export it first and merge it in a server environment.
