When selecting a search filter for editing the search path / the input prompt line does not appear and also the failure statement "failed to retrieve favorite filters from server" appears (see picture highlited in yellow). So I am not able to add a new project to an existing search or filter query.
Hi @Dejan Lukic
does your filter refer to a group that has been deleted? This used to be a known issue.
see bug report
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-66852
Hello @Tom Lister,
Thank you for your answer. The filter is private, so not shared with anybody. I had a look at the bug report. I do not know where to find the problematic user und where to update the app_user list.
Can you help me with this?
Hi
Can you share your filter text? I'll try and make some suggestions.
Just realized that might be difficult given it's not showing the edit box in the filter display.
Are you able to run a SQL command against the searchrequest table?
A suggestion to get the filter text without SQL
if you can get to the manage issues page and see your filter listed. Hover over it to see the id in the bottom status bar e.g. 10002
Then you can use curl to call this rest API to retrieve the details
curl -u admin:admin http://toms-mbp-3:2990/jira/rest/api/2/filter/10002
using your own user and server name.
I'm still assuming there is an issue in the query itself.
Hi @Tom Lister
Somehow the reply mode is not working anymore. So here is the result I got for the API version 3:

First off, I think you may have exposed your password in posting a windows command line in one of the posts :-(
Looking at your URL it seems this may not be Atlassian cloud but a custom hosted site. Is that correct?
In which case try the curl URL without the '/jira'
https://jira.vonroll-infratec.com/rest/api/3/filter/11105
That may be the cause of the broken link errors. If not I'm not sure how to progress.
Do you know how the problem JQL query was constructed? Is it possible to create it afresh and see it gets around the issue?
Thank you for the password hint! here is the result without the "/jira":
<!DOCTYPE html><html lang="en"><head><meta charset="utf-8"><meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge"><title>Oops, sie haben einen toten Link gefunden. - JIRA</title><script type="text/javascript">contextPath = "";</script><link type='text/css' rel='stylesheet' href='/static-assets/metal-all.css' media='all'><script src='/static-assets/metal-all.js'></script><!--[if lt IE 9]><link type='text/css' rel='stylesheet' href='/static-assets/metal-all-ie.css' media='all'><script src='/static-assets/metal-all-ie.js'></script><![endif]--><!--[if IE 9]><link type='text/css' rel='stylesheet' href='/static-assets/metal-all-ie9.css' media='all'><![endif]--><meta name="decorator" content="none" /></head><body class=" error-page error404"><script type="text/javascript">document.body.className += " js-enabled";</script><div id="page"><header id="header" role="banner"></header><!-- #header --><section id="content" role="main"><div class="aui-page-panel"><div class="aui-page-panel-inner"><section class="aui-page-panel-content lowerContent"><div id="error-state"><span class="error-type"></span><h1>Oops, sie haben einen toten Link gefunden.</h1><ul><li>Gehe zurück <a href="javascript:window.history.back()">zur letzten Seite</a></li><li>Gehe zur <a href="/secure/MyJiraHome.jspa">Startseite </a></li></ul></div></section><!-- .aui-page-panel-content --></div><!-- .aui-page-panel-inner --></div><!-- .aui-page-panel --></section><!-- #content --><footer id="footer" role="contentinfo"><section class="footer-body"><ul class="atlassian-footer"> <li> Atlassian Jira <a class="seo-link" rel="nofollow" href="https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira">Project Management Software</a> <span id="footer-build-information">(v7.12.2#712003-<span title='61a922d5458c2b34faa51a4f8074da7e37e442eb' data-commit-id='61a922d5458c2b34faa51a4f8074da7e37e442eb}'>sha1:61a922d</span>)</span> </li> <li> <a id="about-link" rel="nofollow" href="/secure/AboutPage.jspa/secure/AboutPage.jspa">About Jira</a> </li> <li> <a id="footer-report-problem-link" rel="nofollow" href="/secure/CreateIssue!default.jspa">Report a problem</a> </li></ul> <ul class="atlassian-footer"> <li class="licensemessage"> </li> </ul><div id="footer-logo"><a href="http://www.atlassian.com/" rel="nofollow">Atlassian</a></div></section></footer><!-- #footer --></div><!-- #page --></body></html>
still a broken link message?
things to try. As it’s looks like you’re hosted rather than cloud,
try the following
Running out of suggestions I’m afraid.
